We met friends at this Jameson's location since they rave about it. The food was very good- I had the sea bass and it was delicious. The wine was nice and chilled just like I like it- Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio. The others in our party had the white fish, chicken kabobs and the chopped steak. They enjoyed their meals as well. Our server was very sweet and attentive. We will be back. It was worth our almost hour drive !

The appetizer and drinks were perfect. The salmon served was horrible, we notified the server and had to order another dish. The shrimp was good. Overall a nice restaurant but I won’t order fish again

Maybe it was the late hour (7 pm) when we placed our entree orders, but the liver wasn't that great tonight. Very little onions & mashed potatoes, and only 1,5 small slices of liver. Liver was dry & overcooked, lacking juice, & seemed to be the tail-end of meat that night. Also, what happened to the broccoli & carrots that ALWAYS accompanied every entree? Are they no longer included? None of the 4 entrees we were served included a vegetable. I guess all good things come to an end... The other entrees we received were delicious. Two people could easily share the Thursday night specials-especially the ribs and chicken entree! The salads were watery & just a lettuce mix tossed on a small plate (no tomato, cucumber, onion, etc., as in the past) - another recent downgrade. The soups were enjoyable, but again, smaller bowls, filled only halfway. While we've always enjoyed dining at Jameson's in the past, these major changes in quantity & quality will be very disappointing to their usual dining clientele, causing many to seek elsewhere for dining enjoyment. And, unfortunately, we will be some of them. In the future, our visits will be few & far between.

We always have a great dining experience at Jamisons. The food is always good and the service is top notch. It’s a lovely restaurant and the people are very nice. I highly recommend it.

The outside dining would be nice however to allow dogs is a mistake and would prevent me and my guess other people from dining outside. I like dogs however would not take a dog out for dinner. This is where Jamesons makes a mistake.

Reservation and seating per request handles very well. Service was a bit confused and slow, but staff very nice and friendly. French onion soup was served lukewarm. Entrees were very slow and the restaurant wasn’t busy due to late hour.

The food was cold and bland at best. For the prices that you charge I would think the food would delivered hot. This may have been a case where the server was slow and maybe the food sat in the kitchen and not delivered immediately, Was never asked for more bread, only one bread was delivered for a table of 7. Just in general not a restaurant that I would go to again. Especially it being in Vernon Hills the service was not up to par as I would expect a Northshore restaurant and the service did not deliver to what should be expected. Also the food was not anything special either.

Generally good food and service, but watch out for added charges on items. When you ask about sides, servers rattle off a long list but do not tell the customer that there are added charges for some items. This has happened twice to me.

The food was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs. We were dining with several children. The restaurant was nice looking & very clean. It was a lovely evening. The restaurant was full of people but the noise level was comfortable. Very nice restaurant for any occasion.

The food is always fresh and very tasty. It’s a nice place to dine and the servers are friendly as well is the staff. Jamisons is one of our favorite restaurants in the northern suburbs. It’s also a great value as the orations are quite large for the price.

Took my girlfriend for her birthday. We started with soup- French Onion and Chicken Tortellini... both were good. Salads were also good. My GF enjoyed here petite filet, but my steak/shrimp combo was not great. The shrimp were absolutely hammered, and the steak was not flavorful. Our dessert Tiramisu was really good! Service was excellent and that alone is a reason to come back.

We celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary with a large group. Our servers were great! The food was delicious and such a good value. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being a positive part of our family’s celebration!!

We’ve been here 6 times and always had a lovely evening except for last night. Do not order the Parmesan crusted sea bass. The worst sea bass of my life. Not sure it was sea bass. The wedge salad is apparently an up charge though our server didn’t tell us that. He also offered us a choice of a Greek vinaigrette dressing which was a creamy salad sauce, nothing vinaigrette about it. He did replace it. I will give them another try given our previous good experiences. I just hope the quality of food and service hasn’t dropped. Another experience like that and I will be going elsewhere

It had been a while since we dined at Jameson’s and we were not disappointed! Same great food, entrees still included soup and salad and great service. Kudos to our server, Seth, who was outstanding, anticipating our needs before we even asked and constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend!!

Jameson’s has the best food for the best value in Vernon Hills! Chicken piccata (which was delicious) was $21 and included bread, clam chowder and a salad. The value for good food is why we go back!

We liked our dinner at Jameson’s. The food is very good, we had the ribs, whitefish and seafood linguine and we all enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge! You get soup, salad and potato with the entrees - we were stuffed! Our server was excellent. I took off one star as the hostess was on the phone for over 5 min with a takeout order and kept us waiting to be seated.
