The event I attended was one held by Chef Marcello Verzino of Scottsdale, Arizona. From the canapes to the dessert, the cuisine was simply outstanding. It was authentic, savory, delicious and unique. I had dined at Amarone, his restaurant in New York. It was the best hand-made past I had ever had and this current dining experience did not disappoint.
The ambience of the James Beard House is perfect for this kind of event. The patio is beautiful, intimate and festive. The outdoor bar is the perfect centerpiece of this well-designed space.
The patrons that this event attracted were interesting, cordial, diversified and endlessly enjoyable. I haven't enjoyed a dining experience this much in decades.
