I myself had the Dan Dan Thai with crispy prawns and its is the best meal I have had in a very long time. This was my first visit to the James Pumphouse. Staff were very friendly and courteous I was staying at the hotel across Waterfont. I will definitely visit again for the food. Couldn't hear myself think and I am not one for crowds. This was last night, Wednesday.

We enjoyed the experience overall. The place is very cool, and it was so busy for a Monday night. The food was okay, not exceptional (kinda average actually), and the service was good, our server was very pleasant.

All four of us thought the food was really delicious. I had a salmon bowl with edamame, etc. that was the tastiest restaurant meal I have had in a long time. Butter chicken was yummy but a bit spicy. Broccoli and cheddar soup and braised beef dip was fabulous and I heard no complaints about the fish dish, assuming it, too, was very good. Definitely a happening place for the 30-something crowd and not necessarily a place to catch up with aging, hearing impaired friends because of the noise level, but I will go back just because I will be dreaming of that decadent salmon dish with all its many flavours!

Serena was our waitress and she is beautiful and sooo helpful! She made our lunch so very special you are lucky to have her. We chose your restaurant for the vegan menu. THANK YOU! I did miss the peanut butter vegan pie. The gentleman that sat us down was also very kind!

First time at the restaurant. Food was very good and the service was excellent! We will definitely come back again. Great for all ages. The history and ambiance make it a great experience.
