   I've been to the DC original many times and it is one of my favorites. The food at this one was also very good and we had a great server. It is quite big and a little on the loud side but overall we enjoyed our dinner very much.

   This is our second visit to Jaleo. Although it is extremely noisy and the music choices are weird and way too loud. The food and service is excellent. We did the tasting menu and our server walked us through every course, each being absolutely delicious. He was even able to accommodate my sister who is a pescatarian.

   Excellent as usual! The taste of all plates was really good and tasting fresh. Dining chef experience is one of the best options if you would like to taste a little of all, but you need to be hungry, it is a lot of food.

    Date with my husband. This was our second time having dinner here, and we were as equally impressed by the food this time around. The only downside was how loud it was. Last time we ate outside, more quiet and romantic. This time we are inside and had trouble hearing each other and our waitstaff. We will ask for an outside table the next time.

    We normally have a great experience. While the good snd food service were good, the experience was not as expected. This time, we were seated at a table covered with dust. We never got our water refilled and I had to take my husband’s water since I had nothing to drink towards the end of the meal. We also never got to look at the wine menu as it was taken away before we ordered anything.

    Was not impressed. I love tapas and definitely have had much better. I think the biggest complaint was that everything was just like warm, not hot.! It was a disappointing experience.

    I’ve been to Spain and traveled to different regions. The tomato bread was cold. The Gambas was terrible that my son did not even eat it. And he loves shrimp! We got paella and were hoping it would have saved the night. It was the worst paella I ever had. I would avoid this place at all costs.

    The restaurant concept is tapas, small plates, but the price is for full dining plates. Some of the plates are okay, paella is nice but so small quantity for the price. We had to order many plates to not leave hungry.

    We were really excited to check out this restaurant, but I guess we should have known better when there was an abundance of reservation options the day of. The decor was nice, but the ambiance didn’t match the theme at all, and with the standard “top hits” radio playing in the background we could have easily been in any other chain restaurant. Our waitress was very sweet, but clearly very focused on driving the check up. The restaurant is tapas style, but several of the dishes are $25-$30, and we were told multiple times we should be ordering 3-4 each person. Most of the table ordered the steak & it was sadly disappointing across the board. The cut was so bad, there was zero flavor, and the temperature was so raw (even for the kids meals), that we couldn’t cut through it, and half of us couldn’t chew/eat it at all. I ordered the paella and the trend of inedible continued. There was not any “rice”, but instead it was a plate of short pasta noodles (similar to chopped angel hair spaghetti), that was dry on the top and sort of mushy underneath. The only other component to this $30 tapa was 4 headed shrimp, and a couple mushy small globs which may have been sausage, but I only say that because I was told sausage was an ingredient. I am a seafood lover, but the flavor of the paella was most comparable to dirty fish tank water, possibly like the live well where you scoop the shrimp from when getting bait. Our waitress did check on us & tried to make sure we were happy with our food, but because all six meals were a disappointment, we didn’t complain, so it wasn’t her fault. Perhaps the kitchen was having a bad night. It was spring break after all, and they could have been short staffed or maybe just slammed earlier in the day. We ordered a few salad dishes which I would order again. Also, the kids meals were actually a really good value, so there some highlights at least.

    Only complaint was being sat next to a large table with loud and rowdy kids whose parents clearly have not taught them table manners or how to behave in a restaurant setting. It was annoyingly loud and being bumped into while eating is not ideal. Wish staff were more aware of where to seat adults without kids vs those with kids.

    Alex (Alexander) was our server and gave us great suggestions and plenty of time to make decisions and enjoy our time. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and view. We started with his suggested 6 Doble Estrella Galicia Lager Beer. Alex then suggested and we enjoyed the Super Flauta (Ham and on thin bread). One of my favorites Alex also recommended was Gambas a la Zahara (Shrimp with heads) We shared and really enjoyed, followed by Carne Asada (Skirt Steak and peppers). Alex also suggested the Pan con Chocolate (Amazing desert). Everything was delicious. The service was excellent by the entire staff as was our food.

    Excellent foodie spot for a variety of small dishes. Great for small or large groups and you don't need to spend alot to enjoy excellent service. THank you Jaleo for making my repeat visit well worth it. I will be back!

    Too noisy but service was great. tt’s tapas so it’s perfect for a Friends get-together. I had written in the reservation there were two birthdays but this wasn’t taken into account. Food was good, our favorite were the croquetas de pollo. I ordered the Cava Sangria and it was perfect. Churros were too oily for me, and I expected some heat in the Patatas Bravas but there was none.

    Server didn’t know the menu. Tasting menu was not a small plate menu as we were told. Portions were too big and too much food. Food was ok not great for the price. We didn’t have water and constantly had to ask for water. It took a LONG a time. Got there at 6:45 and we missed our plans for 9:30 bc we didn’t get out until 9:40. Slow slow slow

    I have eaten int he restaurant before. It is a good place to enjoy a well-made meal. The staff is excellent. The atmosphere is alive. It is not a quiet place. It does remind you of being at Disney when you walk out the door.

    Food is excellent. Wait staff was attentive but not so you’d notice. Food recommendations were offered and were excellent. We’ve been to the restaurant several times and often get the same items so having recommendations helped as move beyond the usual. All around, they never disappoint. You should go there.

    Had a wonderful time here. The Food and service were excellent. As far as ambiance goes, I sat out on the patio over looking the lake. It was very serene. I tried many different items and my favorite was the Chorizo and potatoes. Everything was delicious.

    Jaleo is a very nice place to eat if you are looking for a tapas style meal. We had a party of 12 and they were very accommodating in their seating. The service was great and the staff was very attentive to the questions presented to them, although it was probably a good thing we had reserved an early time slot as it was not terribly busy. The food was terrific, everything was served hot and rather quickly. It is rather noisy there and if crowded, I could see where it might be hard to hear those not directly beside you. We would recommend to others and would go again, although maybe with a smaller group.

    Great ambience and service. The cheeses and bean salad were amazing. But the rest of the small plates we ordered were disappointing. Very expensive for food that did not meet our expectations.
