Early dinner after a day of walking around DC. Excellent food in an environment casual enough that all the Caps fans were comfortable coming in jeans and jerseys before the game.

Very delicious meal, though we had to wait for the table for at least 10 minutes, even though we had reservations and were on time. The seating setup is 'efficient' and we had to share a table with another party. Food itself was very good. Sangria was nice but expensive.
We went once before without a reservation and had better/quicker service.

We’ve been to Jaleo many times and it never disappoints! Every dish is delicious! A great place to go with friends because choosing and sharing the food makes fun conversation, and the menu is so varied and interesting, there’s something for everyone. Tonight’s stars were the cheese board, octopus, potato tapas with salmon roe, grilled cauliflower, chorizo, and chocolate flan. Yum!

The tapas were to die for. We went for my friend's birthday, and the staff were so fun and friendly, we got them to sing for her :) Great atmosphere, delightful service, delicious food.

One of the best dining experiences of my life. Perfect table for two right next to window, top-notch service. Three days later and we are still talking about it.

As always, the device was excellent and the food delicious. This evening we had the Conor de salmon crudo, datiles con tocino , patatas bravas, and tortilla al moments. For dessert there was the orange flan. All excellent.

The Cuba Libre at Jaleo deserves mention as well. It is made with rum and Coke, but the addition of Angostura Bitters and a cinnamon stick add wonderfully to the flavor. It is highly recommended.

Overall, a most enjoyable dining experience.

I thought the food was pretty mediocre and quite salty in general. It was busy at lunch time so the service was pretty slow but wasn’t terrible. I guess since food wasn’t that great it was not easy to enjoy the experience. 2/3 dishes were disappointing.

Fabulous tapas- scallops, cauliflower with dates & olives, jumbo lump crab with cucumbers & peppers and a light brandy sauce. Pork filet with Gorgonzola & mashed potatoes. Nice wines. Brought us free custard for dessert for our anniversary. Excellent bartender and nice service.

Forgot it was Valentines Day weekend. Server was extremely busy and some of our food took longer. I think he forgot to put an order in. Other staff chipped in but still felt unattended to.

My family ate here after a day at the museums. My young daughters loved the fresh bread and the ham croquettes. We had the nicest waiter. Would definitely be back!

Will not disappoint! Many dishes on the menu that may sound familiar to most but trust me, whatever you have had does not compare to what you will experience here. Examples: the Jamon Iberico which may just come off as prosciutto...like nothing you have ever had. Shrimp in Garlic, a staple dish in many Spanish/Portuguese restaurants and something I’ve had hundreds of times in my life...Jaleo transformed it into something amazing, making every other one I’ve tried in the past obsolete. I guess the best way to explain what you will experience here is simply this...whatever you have experienced prior to this will no longer be valid; prepare to be amazed and allow them to show you just how far the rabbit hole goes!

We love Jose Andres! This is our second time in DC and second time in Jaleo. This time we decided to go on Valentines Day.. It was PACKED! We had to wait 10 min past our reservation time, but we grabbed a drink at the bar and loved it. Once we sat and ordered food just kept coming and coming.... The team was amazing... we never noticed when they took our plate once empty. There was never an empty plate or a half filled glass at our table.
The food was INCREDIBLE and the service IMPECCABLE!

The much hyped Jaleo left something to be desired. We came for Valentine’s Day and decided on the $70 tasting menu each. The selection was disappointing for the price. There were broken mussel shells in my bite, and nothing special about the rest of the dishes. Hangar steak was the best part. Potatoes were good, very spicy.

We got the classic tasting menu. They were able to make every dish vegetarian. It was a lot of food (12 dishes for two people) and every dish was fantastic.

We were happy with food selection. Our waiter was missing a lot. And the busboy was rude and kept trying to take our food when clearly we had food on our plate. It was so irritating because we were trying to have a conversation. I love this restaurant but I guess I shouldn’t go on special holidays.
