Delicious food. It is small plates so order a few different ones and share. It is a little loud so if you are looking for an intimate evening, try a different place. Looking for a cool vibe and good food, come here. We will be back.

Great food and excellent service by Valentin. The tapas were delivered at an appropriate pace, not too many or too few at any time. The Gaspacho and the Rossat were very good.

You can never go wrong with Jaleo. Although the noise level is a bit on the loud side, it's a cute date spot. I would recommend ordering only 1 - 2 dishes at a time, as the tables are pretty small and unable to accommodate more.

Service was good, but I found the food to be unimpressive. It was decent, but I was expecting a lot more.

I have heard of Jaleo for many years and had never been… It was so much fun to try all the different small plates and share with our friends at the table‼️

Very good as usual. Unfortunately, no mention of our anniversary in the reservation.

Passing a birthday card around at the end of a really tasty meal and an amuse birthday showed up, candle gleaming. What an excellent night. Everyone should have a liquid olive and a Shanty. Gin and tonic best in town. Jose thank you.

Great experience for out of town guests. The recommendation for our wine - Cava- was excellent. I'm happy a few favorite traditional tapas are back on the nenu. A bit loud as the restaurant filled up.

It was our first visit to Jaleo, and overall a good one. The only negatives were having to wait while another couple with an identical reservation time was seated before us, despite arriving later; no paper towels in the men’s room; and being seated near a loud party at a foosball table that made conversation difficult.

Jaleos is a DC experience. Gin drinks are the specialty and the wine list is incredible and as wxotic as the food. My first time there was with a White House chef and any time im in DC i go there.

Our server was absolutely phenomenal, we didn’t know any of the food so we chose the chef’s option, José’s choice; it was amazing. $70 per person, 8 settings arrived perfectly timed with about two dishes a piece. They were all wonderful and they gave my husband different options for the dishes he couldn’t have. It was an amazing experience and totally worth the price. We were beyond happy when we left, we needed to order espresso before the ride home. That was also wonderful.

Wish they had fountain sodas but otherwise love this place for lunch.

This is just a tourist trap. From the moment you walk in and see the products being merchandised at the main entrance to the blasé waitstaff who seem so bored to take your order or answer any questions you get the feeling that this restaurant is inauthentic and contrived. Sadly the food is mediocre at best and downright bad in most instances. It was a very disappointing and unenjoyable experience.

Top rank cooking with a lot of creativity, especially for desserts. Tapas are delicious: no need to go to Spain with Jaleo DC.

I have eaten at a sister local before and fell in love with the cuisine, and respect all of the work chef Andres has been doing.
The food and drinks did not disappoint, and I certainly will dine again in the future, when I am nearby a location.
One disappointment though, our server was very hospital when he was there. Unfortunately he was missing for some time. We did let him know that we wanted to do our tapes at different times, along with our drinks. Twice during the evening both drinks and food were finished for over 5 minutes (closer to 10) before he returned for us to order the next course.
There also was a manager overseeing the section, he was walked by many times as well without noticing or intervening. I did not attempt to get his attention, I had faith that it was going to be handled any second because of service I have received before, but it didn't happen. It's not a deal breaker, it was just a disappointment.

a little small and cramped, but the food is really good, personally I would choose the Las Vegas one, with the open fire pit for paellas and slightly charred uni

I had been to the Crystal City Jaleo before and enjoyed the food, but it was for business and someone else ordered. This last visit to the DC locale was disappointing. Service was just fair. Usually when I ask for advice on menu selections, there is more willingness to assist. Roasted brussel sprouts were burnt, rossejat de fideos was very salty as was trucha con estofado de garbanzos y espinacas--and it is rare for me to complain about too much salt. Desserts were very good, but they do not make a meal. With so many excellent places to dine in DC, I would select another restaurant if I could have a "do-over."

Jaleo is my favorite restaurant in DC. I've been coming here for over ten years and it is consistently at the top of its game in terms of creative, delicious food and incredible service time and again. If I'm celebrating a big occasion, this is usually the restaurant i want to be at. Must try dishes are the "Farran Adria" liquid olives, the salmon tare tare, and the Lomo de Buey. Their cocktails are amazing as well. Be sure to try the Agua de Sevilla. The staff here are always helpful and knowledgeable as well so do yourself a favor and ask questions about the menu and drinks. They'll be able to point you in fun directions.

In town and ate here on a whim. Great experience overall. Several of the dishes were good but nothing special and not particularly "Spanish." Other than that an excellent place and I'd come back.

I brought my out of town daughters here to kick off a weekend birthday celebration. We were not disappointed. One daughter is vegan; the other is gluten free. Jaleo easily accommodated their unique dietary needs. The service was totally on-point. Loved the creative adult beverages; and, the food was amazing. Thank you Jaleo for helping us kickoff our weekend!
