It was a very good meal but I think it could have been cheaper! It was a bit too expensive for two people!
Great tapas and sangria in Penn Quarter. Helpful attentive staff. The bacon wrapped figs are yummy.
Wonderful- repeat customer and one of my faves !
Great food, great place!
The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the vibe in the place was exciting.
Awesome. Great food, real spanish. We played “futbolín” with the kids, it was really fun!
Good food and good service. Happy birthday to me
I love to Visit Jaleo every time I go to DC. The tapas are delicious! I always try something new from the menu. This time, it was leche de cabra cheese cake, this is my new favorite. The staff is very friendly, attentive & knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean & with a good atmosphere. Can wait to visit again!
Spectacular time. Truffle specials were amazing. We spent a fortune on food and wine, but it was totally worth it. Can't wait to come back!
Thanks to Jaleo for another wonderful meal. Moorish Stew was back on the menu for lunch. That was great. We also tried on of the egg, potato, and ham dishes, which was very tasty! This is our favorite restaurant in DC and is worth the 2 hour trip!
We had the Dine like Jose experience for our Valentines weekend. Everything was amazing.
I guess I expected too much for a famous restaurant helmed by such a renowned Chief. We went for our twentieth Anniversary dinner and left still hungry. I was disappointed that the slices of ham were not cut from the leg of the pig as shown on TV and the service left a little to be desired since our drink was only refilled twice in our two-hour eating adventure. I understand Tapas is a small plate and many are required to provide a good meal but the cost was so high just two tapas cost almost forty dollars.
We did the Jaleo experience tasting menu for brunch. It was fantastic. Definitely felt like we got a lot of high quality, delicious food for the price. And the service was excellent.
Awesome! Great food & service!
Table was ready and service was smooth. This was my second time here, after around five years. The quality of the food did not compare to my first experience
I’ve been to other restaurants related to Jose Andres, including our favorite Mi Casa which no longer exist in Dorado. Jaleo did not compare neither blew my mind like I was hoping again I
We went on Valentine’s Day and although it was crowded, everything was still perfect. Food came very quickly and was very good and presented nicely. Good price as well. Food was great !
The service was a bit slow to begin with but every other aspect of the dinner was good.
Outstanding! Jose never disappoints and the food and drink was amazing as always!! Delicious dishes and the service was friendly and impeccable! Great evening!
We had a wonderful experience. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. 16 courses is too much, but we powered through. The only suggestion is to slow down the delivery/ removal of dishes. It was just too much too fast. It left us feeling very rushed.
Wow. Loved it so much I bought the cookbook.
We had the pre-theatre menu. The service easily accommodated our request. The menu choices were most pleasing and all the food was delicious, as it usually is at Jaleo DC
We went for the truffles and were disappointed. All of the food seemed pre-prepared and the truffles had no flavor. Having gone to Zaytinya last year for this, we were disappointed. Do not recommend.
Great food with wide variety of selections. Excellent for vegetarians
I found Jaleo's a perfect place for 3 or 4 in a group, so each can order three items and have a very nice variety and be close enough for easy conversation. Its also nice that we had a very helpful waiter that had very good suggestions.
We have reservations but showed up early and ended up getting seats at the bar. The restaurant was already hopping at 5pm on a Saturday. The bartender Jose was attentive and have us excellent suggestions as to which tapas to try. We ordered 6 different tapas and they were all fantastic! We will be repeat diners for sure!
My colleague and I had lots of fun experiencing the Jose’s Way tasting menu. Sergio was a wonderful waiter and very patient with our questions. The atmosphere was sophisticated but welcoming. The restaurant was full but not too noisy, we could speak to each other without raising our voices. The overall experience was an adventurous and festive one! A perfect treat for DC visitors.
always a great pre-theater dinner. Service was perfect..Food was fantastic. It was Truffle Week, so we decided to partake...Yummy!!!
Delicious food and wonderful service! The small plates are very generous. We love eating here and always bring friends who are glad we did!
I recommend the Tasting menu. One of the Best meals of my life.
Very nice environment. Food is “Tapas” style so very small and bit over priced. Need to order 2-3 things to be full
We wanted small plates, this was close to our hotel, and we like and are very familiar with Spanish food so it seemed like a good choice. The garlic shrimp were very good, the croquetas not so much, neither was the Spanish omelet. The cheeses were served cold and hard. The drinks were good and so was the service except that they tried the usual bit of trying to give us the worse table even though there were plenty of other tables available. On the opposite side of the street, also by Chef Jose Andres, Oyamel Mexican was wonderful.
I’d heard such good reviews and was excited about trying this out. First of all the food was good. Chicken croquetas were the best. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our waitress missed two of our orders, was not good on explaining dishes, and the servers said nothing to explain the dishes as they were being served. Probably would not go here again.
Wonderful food and excellent service; would gladly return.
Great for groups, Jaleo never disappoints. A wonderful selection of tapas and tasty sangria...you just can't go wrong here.
The staff was great, the food, not so much. But the owner, Andre is the best guy ever. So there's that!
Our party of four tried about 10 different items for dinner on Saturday night. We loved them all and were quite full after 8 dishes, fyi. We got two orders of the fried bacon wrapped dates and were glad we did. Gobbled all of them up. Service was excellent in that they delivered 3 or 4 things a couple different times so we always had a few things to try and share. Two of us had standard margaritas and they were excellent!
