Food was great, as always. Only complaint was that we did the restaurant week menu where you picked one thing from several categories and it all came out very close together. We would have liked a little time between plates.
Jose Andres’s restaurants are the gold standard for delicious and creative food. Never an off moment! Hooray for Jaleo and its amazing staff!
Had a wonderful time. The food was amazing as always.
Great food for restaurant week. Attentive waiter and a lovely interior. Lived the tapas and the lunch RW menu is a great deal.
We were not seated until 15 minutes after our reservation, and were not greeted by a server for 5 minutes after. Inside was very loud, but patio seating was lovely. Our server made great recommendations and ensured we were happy.
Foood was great. Five courses for the restaurant week which was very reasonable. We were full.
The food was excellent and just enough. I was satisfied with the quantity and quality of the my meal.
Not bad, overall too salty. Poor service was expected since restaurant week.
Food was delicious, a good value, and service was very strong and well done. The dining room was very loud, I think there was a private event happening in the bar area and it made for a very difficult dining experience. Nice to go when its maybe not so busy.
Open Table is a wonderful service. We hit El Jaleo at the right time:Restaurant Week in Washington. Each of us at the table chose the sample tapas meals recommended. Scrumptious food.
We did the restaurant week menu!! Loved all but the salmon which was kind of boring
Love jaleo in all 3 locations. But the portion size has grown. I will order less next time.
Each of the tapas we ordered were delicious. I highly recommend the ham croquetas, the rabbit and the chocolate flan. My dad was put off my the dessert description “there’s no way chocolate and olive oil go together. Plot twist: they do. He was won over after he took a bite.
Superb tapas. Had one of chef’s samplers and each one was better than the last.
We had a fantastic experience and everything we ate was thoughtfully prepared and delicious! Highly recommend getting one of the pre set tasting menus. Plan to spend some time to enjoy the tapas experience.
Comfortable spot with a huge selection of really tasty food.
Excellent food and service! Love the interesting variety of tapas. Staff was very knowledgeable about the menu too. One of my favorite places to dine!
We love Jaleo (and all of Chef Andres' restaurants!) We always take visiting family and friends to Jaleo to impress them! Thank you. We really love having Jaleo right here in our neighborhood too. And we admire, respect, and support Mr Andres' work all over the country.
Delicious food awesome service
The waiter, whose name I can’t recall was so on top of things. Of course, the food was amazing. It’s so difficult to try new food because my mouth is always watering for my favorites like the fried bacon wrapped dates (not to be missed), gazpacho is so fresh it’ll slap the freckles off your face, and the combination of flavors in the fennel salad meld together beautifully and yet remain distinct when you try to pick them out. I did try a few new flavors like the pork roll with ham and cheese - I always want more cheese but this was really nicely balanced for me. I don’t care for salmon, but my dining companion said that it delicious.
We also enjoyed a half carafe of the red sangria which was just yummy. I was only a little disappointed that they didn’t have the peachy white sangria they served a few years ago. I’m still keeping my hopes up though. Oh, parking in the parking garage across the street is free on weekends and after 4 during the week.
The Jaleo in Crystal City has be great every time I've gone there. The food is wonderful and the service is attentive. We had lunch this time, and it was not crowded, so the noise level was pretty low. A good experience all around.
As always, Jaleo was wonderful! This is my go-to special occasion restaurant and sitting outside for my birthday was perfect! Everything about the meal was awesome!!
Jaleo is one of my favorite restaurants. However, the quality of some of the food like the and the chorizo have dropped. The steak, almond soup, etc. were excellent.
It was Awesome! Food was delicious! Alissa was a great server.
One complaint. You should serve paella for 2.
The prix fix menu is an awesome deal. The selection and food were outstanding. The service was excellent. The ambiance was perfect. Jose Andres is a genius.
We had friends visiting from out of town and wanted them to try cuisines not available in small-town New Mexico. Most had never had tapas and certainly not tapas of the quality of Jaleo. We ordered several of the most traditional tapas, plus a few of the innovative Jaleo creations (Ajo Blanco, for example). They were blown away.
Great experience but a bit of a large and noisy space with almost a cafeteria feel.
Delicious. Fantastic service! Paella is a great way to go!
Great service and food! Every member of the service staff was gracious and very professional, what a great team!!
Great food and service. Of the 15 or so different plates we tried the duck and chicken plates were very flavorful and we’ll put together. We also had the almond soup with Maryland crab. It was a very balanced dish with big chunks of crab.
Good food, average service. I’m still a fan of the one in Chinatown
The food is always delicious (jamón ibérico, croquetas, pulpo etc), sangría is great too, definitely one of my favorite spots by José Andres
Have always loved Jaleo and all Chef Andres projects; having said that, must comment on two ke items that detracted from our dining experience. Some tapas seem to have become stale: the perennial favorite, Gambas, were tough, chewy and lacking in "punch" (were the Tiger Prawns? If so, recommend a different family of crustaceans -- how about fresh Gulf brown or white shrimp, or Rock Shrimp); Uni was tasty, but at $7.50 for one spoonful seems overpriced and other items seemed lacking in spark. On the other hand, the ham croquetas (sp?) were terrific, arriving hot and crisp -- we were compelled to reorder. The 3 selection cheese plate was also very good, with reasonable portions and accompaniments, and the two flans, especially the chocolate rolled in coffee powder were off-the-charts. I predict that if you sold the paired ice cream as a separate line item, it would sell-out every day.
I always enjoy this restaurant and often brings friends here. Beautiful place too.
Hadn’t been to this location in awhile. Really noises but it was Sangria week! Wonderful server who took care of my gluten allergy and was mindful of it throughout dinner. Food was amazing. Wine too. We stayed way later than we had planned and the noise level diminished a lot once the happy hour crowds left.
Great . Tasting menu was terrific. Service was excellent. Another great meal by Jose.
We did the Jaleo Experience and I highly recommend it! Wait staff and food was AMAZING!
We had the chef’s tasting menu...spectacular! Best part, no decisions to make, just let them choose and you enjoy the awesome trip through several courses!
We had a great time. The food was very good for the most part. We found the tortilla presentation to be less than appealing. Not sure if it is always like this but it was odd to us that night. Just a round thick omelet on a white plate. No one was excited to try it. And the octopus was slimy - not what I expected. But the shrimp and Pan de cristal con tomate were excellent! As was the manchego, bikini de jamon, and berenjenas. We also had paella which was good. We will come back to try some more!!
