Mi esposa que es puertorriqueña y yo queríamos ir a alguno de los restaurantes de Jose Andres ya que lo admiramos muchisimo por su labor humanitaria en Puerto Rico.
Magnifica comida y servicio.

Overall, a very pleasing dining experience with all but 1 dish excellent and attentive service. Also very accommodating about food allergies. Their patatas bravas are the stuff of dreams, the shrimp lovely, the cauliflower with dates and olives a delightful combination, the endive with goat cheese reliably great, the pan de cristal had wonderful flavor and crunch... Sadly, the quail was uninspiring.

We went for Valentine's 2018. The restaurant provided complimentary Rose cava, and had special and regular menus available. The restaurant was crowded but the food and cocktails were lovely. We had a great time.

We used to go to the downtown Jaleo frequently after the theatre, and always enjoyed the variety and tastiness of the small plates. So we were looking forward to our treat in Bethesda on Valentine's Day. We ordered the tasting menu @$55, and a bottle of Spanish wine (very good). The food, however -- 8 different plates -- was either bread with something on it (tomato, eggplant) or fried (cheese) or some kind of cured meat (sausage). In short -- nothing succulent or inviting, like the baby lamb chops we used to get downtown. Even the spinach w pine nuts and raisins, wh I always used to order, was thrown together here and oily. I hate it when a good restaurant gets careless and tries to save money on the food. Especially when they're charging so much.

We came Jaleo's because of the truffle festival, and because it was Valentine's day. We ordered one of the set menus of the day, and added truffles to a couple of the dishes. On the down side, the truffles were either too bland or to subtle for me to taste. But having lived in Italy and experienced fresh truffles every year, I don't think they were subtle. On the bright side, every single dish was so wonderful that we didn't really mind the blandness of the truffles. The lesson- trust the chefs at Jaleo's to create what they want, and don't try to mess with perfection!

Jaleo is one of the few reasons I would ever venture to downtown Bethesda. It's great to see the Jaleo brand retaining its high quality when expanding out of downtown DC into the 'burbs.

The food was delicious as usual! This visit was for a Sunday lunch with my sister. I have been to the Bethesda and Washington Jaleos several times each. Have never been disappointed!

Our dinner at Jaleo was memorable and satisfying. There were six of us dining and we chose a selection of tapas to celebrate two birthdays. We were delighted to be seated at a round table by the window which felt open and private enough to enjoy quiet conversation Andorra course the tasty food. I have been to Jaleos at a couple different locations but this time was the best yet. Really appreciated the speed and confidence of the servers and support staff and we were left absolutely satisfied with almost all the dishes. Particularly enjoyed the desserts which ranged from cheesecake to grapefruit inspired olive oil ice cream, to chocolate flan. A perennial favorite, bacon wrapped dates, left my son almost haunted, wanting more. A rabbit based dish was a bit under-inspired and over cooked, but other than that we were delighted.

We were there with a larger group for a birthday party. The service was excellent and so accommodating with the birthday cake. Server was busy with other tables too but took a great amount of time with us. The ambiance was great and lively but not too loud.

THe truffle festival featured new dishes that were outstanding in addition to the old favorites. And the Sangria melded it all together happily.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. Always great food and great sangria! Note that the pitcher of white sangria is quite pricey in comparison with their pitcher of the traditional (red) sangria, as the price of the white one in accordance with the Cava bottle they make it ...$52 later and you have a delicious pitcher to drink....

We were looking for a lively place for a dinner with out-of-town visitors and Jaleo fit the bill -- again. Reliably good salads, charcuterie (jamon Ibérico) and paella in a fun atmosphere. A good, if pricy, wine list as well.

My friend and I had lunch here. She had never dined at Jaleo before while I have been at the D.C. and Bethesda locations many times over the years. It was Restaurant Week and also Jaleo was offering special dishes featuring truffles. The chef arrived at our table and with flair and explanations grated the dried truffles into our vegetable dish. We also were advised to savor the scent. Other dishes were great too, especially the calamari and the butternut squash soup. My friend was delighted with her tapas choices and with the prices.

Most of the dishes were delicious, but two were extremely salty (and I like salt in my food). Someone in the kitchen is too careless with the salt - as this has happened before. Several good dishes - the soup, the fennel/apple/manchego cheese salad, endive/goat cheese/orange, spinach -- but the chicken and rice dishes were so salty that my friend and I couldn't finish them.

Our meal was a weekday lunch. The restaurant was not overly-busy or noisy and conversation was easy. The service was excellent.

Have eaten at the Jaleo in Washington, DC more ofter and enjoyed it. The Bethesda one has pretty good food though it is pricey. And our table and chairs could have been better cleaned. All in all would go again because of the food but would not go out of my way for it.

My husband and I on Saturday decided to do the brunch and picked $ 45 EXPERIENCE deal. And what an experience ! The dishes kept coming and each one perfectly balanced and beautifully executed. We live in Miami and enjoy Jose Andres Bazaar in Miami . Jaleo is as good as Bazaar but the $45 price for so many amazing courses is unbeatable and almost unbelievable.

I went for Restaurant Week but chose instead the Classic tapas menu for brunch. I started with a liquid olive topped with finely grated orange and ended with a fluffy french toast with fresh fruit. In between I had a tiny cone of fresh cheese and quince, potatoes, chorizo with velvety mashed potatoes and others I cannot spell to list! It was delightful and fun. The included glass of Cava made the meal very affordable. My server described each item and was helpful but not obtrusive. It was a wonderful day in the lovely red patterned dining area and a great contrast to the rain outside.

Jaleo is one of my favorite restaurants. I love sharing tapas with friends, and discovering something new each time I go. This time I discovered the spinach with raisins was delicious, and the stuffed dates were lovely, but the gambas (shrimp) was just ok. The calamari was nicely crisp and tasty. I love chocolate, so I got the chocolate dessert--pan con chocolate--and the ice cream it came with was fabulously rich and creamy. The ambiance is boisterous, and the service is efficient--though I sometimes felt that too much was happening at once, and too quickly, with multiple dishes arriving together. Overall, we had a good experience, and I will continue coming here. Also, Jose Andres is a hero--a great chef with a great heart.
