I ordered a bean burrito with a side of rice. They brought my food to me with extra beans because they were out of rice. The food was just “meh” and my margarita just tasted like pure tequila. I wasn’t impressed. I had a great server but that was about it.
The food was okay, the service was below par. We ordered a couple apps and we were halfway through with our main course when they finally came to clear the apps, with a party of 6, the table was a mess. Really no reason to go back, nothing was above par, just being honest!
As always, the food and experience at Jalapeños was excellent.
Great chips and salsa. Great service for group of 9 with a baby. Food was solid but the table top and general seating area was dirty.
We sat in the bar. Cyvanah was the bartender and our server. We haven’t had such good service in a long time. No customer went waiting for anything. She took care of everyone at the bar and everyone at the tables, she didn’t miss a beat , she gave us everything we asked for and didn’t forget anything, she is a hard worker and very easy to talk to. She never stopped moving. She is a rock star!
The food was great, beer was ice cold with chilled glasses, the inferno sauce is to die for. 5 stars!
The only negative is the bathroom was dirty. That usually means the kitchen is dirty, which really freaks me out.
Food was cold and almost inedible . No-one finished their meal. No one from Jalapeno asked why the food was not eaten.
Always a hit! I always take out of towners here and it didn’t disappoint! Chips and salsa are always a hit!!!!! Never a bad meal!!
Best Mexican in North Scottsdale. Always a favorite.
Family dinner for 5 over the holiday. Seated in a very long booth, ample space to fit all and our gifts.
Large menu with lots of options. Great salsa. Entree's were typical Mexican food options. Waiter was new, but handled everything expertly.
We overstayed our time as we have a lot to talk about, and no one pushed us to leave even though there was a big crowd in the restaurant, thank you.
Results: Food acceptable. Good Service. Enjoyable experience. Prices reasonable.
We have been going here for many years. The food quality and value have been consistently great. However, there seems to be a drop off in food quality. I ordered a la carte and had a cheese enchilada and two crisp shredded beef tacos. I judge a Mexican restaurant by its non-meat items. The cheese enchilada was not as good as I used to and the taco shells seemed to be less thick and tasteless. The service was superb.
Skip this place... just terrible
Soup was tasty but was served cold
Awkward. Never did meet our waitress. Wonder which one of the three we seen she was, serving the tables around us.
Ended up getting our drinks and food by walking over to bar, and placing our order there. If you want to be snubbed, great place to be.
Food & service were great!!
This was great! 1/2 off apps at happy hour. Nice big patio. Only reason for 4 stars for service was because it was so busy that it was a little slow. All in all a great experience
We had made reservations and were seated promptly. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I had heard that they were not as good as they used to be but I think this has changed as I couldn’t have asked for a better meal.
Great Carne Asada steak and Courtney's Burrito. Generous portions, enough for a second meal the next day.
Perfect family dinner with my children and grandchildren! Service and food were fantastic!
One of the best restaurants in North Scottsdale for service, quality of food, atmosphere and price!
Sue & Steve M - Minneapolis, MN
Jalapeno Inferno is always a good choice for Mexican. Good Local Restaurant!
Food is just kind of blah ! Sorry. Server was just ok, wine had to be sent back as it was seemed stale (although it could have been my palet).
This was our first time here but it will not be our last-fantastic food, great margarita and outdoor dining weather was perfect. The bbq chicken taco was unbelievable!!!!
They were able to work a party of 7 in for dinner when I made the reservation at the other location and not the DC Ranch location!! So nice and accommodating! Service was very good, food very good. We could all carry on a conversation even with the music! Great location!!!
We went for bar food (Nachos and quesadillas) to watch the World Series game and were not disappointed. Our waitress was fantastic, which made our experience all the better.
This restaurant has gone downhill. With so many Mexican restaurants in the area, I will chose a different one next time. The food was not great. Service was okay. Atmosphere outside was nice.
Best tamales on the planet!
The Tamales were to die for. We enjoyed watching a football game and eating delicious Mexican food. Fun night out
Great service the food is very good. I will eat there regularly
We love Jalapeño Inferno! There corn tamales are amazing!, as is every other meal we have had there! The outdoor seating is beautiful and the service is great! The portions are large and the prices are a great value!
It’s a great place for dinner anytime!
The tortilla chips are bomb! As well as the hatch Chile blackberry margarita if it’s in season. Karen our server was fabulous.
Brie is an awesome sever there, usually in the bar area. Awesome bean dip. Cadillac frozen Marg was great
By far my favorite restaurant in N Scottsdale. Great food, awesome cocktails, consistent awesome service.
Good happy hour prices
Always amazing food.
Great service and food. This is a go to place for our fam.
Great service and food!
Friend said the beef in his chimi was very salty. Other friend had pizza loved it, Street tacos very good, my shrimp was good, would have liked a couple more and more vegetable. Expensive pitcher of margaritas.
One of our favorite Mexican restaurants. I like their sister restaurant in DC Ranch a bit more only because it is newer and has a modern decor; the food is the same at both.
Do not rely on pics in open table. Place does not look anything like photos. Food was average, staff and service was friendly. This place had a lot of families with kids and that is probably who it is best suited for.
Beginning with the hostess, Ruby, we had a great start to our first visit to this very tasty Mexican restaurant. The food was absolutely special and with just enough fire — and large enough serving size for leftovers the next day. The margaritas were very good. Our waiter was just ok but we shall return!
