Jalapeno Inferno at Market Street
Street tacos are legendary--local made Chorizo or Mahi Mahi can even be rolled into lettuce wraps as a tortilla alternative.
A dramatic upstairs dining room gives the place a "big city" vibe and can be booked privately. A full wrap around patio with a "fire wall" is the place to be in the mild weather months.
Happy Hour is featured in the entire restaurant and has become one of the most talked about in North Scottsdale.

The balcony is not a place to seat people. It is dead. Looks like the space is a complete after thought. No music in the place and the lights that are strung over the beams look like an after thought. We live in the area and this is off our list. It’s too bad as it could be great with just a little effort. Our waitress was great.
A girl who brought our food commented “it’s my pleasure!” She said this to us twice after we said thank you. I loved her.
Our server was cool! We had 5:30 reservations and got right in!
The entire evening was great --- server was helpful and attentive, the food was delicious and the ambiance was fun. The restaurant was busy but the service was still great. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
I love this place the food is always good and the people are so nice . Very relaxing place and good for children too!
Service was very good! Frozen Black Cherry Margarita was delicious. Had the fajitas for two. Portions were quite large, probably could have shared a single portion. Everything was delicious!! Only drawback, the waiter never asked if we wanted dessert and brought the check over before we could ask. So we didn't!!
This is a really nice spot especially if you can sit outside. The food is pretty good, not great. The service was very good. All in all I would still return.
Food was good but not great. It was pretty easy to get a table on. Friday night.
Good food and nice atmosphere. Service was a little lacking, but overall a good experience. I would recommend Jalapeno's to anyone.
Great Margaritas! Awesome chips and Salsa! Interesting Menu with good food! Beautiful view of Market street from the patio! Friendly customer service!
Got there a few minutes 8 - 9 minutes late (parking was hard to find and had to walk a bit to get there). The hostess said there was no record of our patio reservation even tho I showed her the confirmation on my phone. Blamed it on a "glitch" with Open Table. So no table available outside for us. We had to walk around for 15 minutes waiting for a table. Not a big hardship but can't blame it on Open Table, I expect we were a few minutes late so they gave up our table.
Great food, service and overall experience. What else is there to say?
This was my 4th time eating at Jalapeño Inferno for dinner, we had a group of 6 for a birthday Celebration outside seating.
We were very disappointed. The first problem they set us at a table 7:30 PM so it’s dark and there was no light above the table it was burned out so we couldn’t even read our menus we had to all get our phones out in order to even see the menu and use our flashlights. The waitress said unfortunately she did not have another table she could move us to with a party of six, secondly the service was very slow we waited at least 15 minutes to get waited on for cocktails or even greeted.. once the cocktails and appetizers were brought she never came back and asked us if we wanted additional drinks…
Our food was brought out it was horrible everyone’s food was cold the fajitas were not sizzling they were Luke warm, the shrimp was cold they never brought refills on tortillas chips we asked for tortillas for our fajitas they never brought them , honestly who served Fajitas without a tortilla nor did the waitress ever come back to check on us to see if we needed anything.
We took our parents there that were in town from Oregon and we raved about this place and how good the food was needless to say we probably won’t go back.
They need to be better prepared with staffing everyone books ahead.
Excellent food! Friendly Atmosphere! We really enjoyed our meal and didn't need to wait long for a table (it was Friday night at 6:30pm, so pretty busy). Our only complaint was that our waitress was not very attentive. She too very long in-between visits to our table and at the end of the night it took longer than 10 mins just to run our credit card after we got the check. Wish the service was a little more speedy.
Waitress was nice, timely/ attentive and helpful. Friends were in town from the midwest and they loved the restaurant and atmosphere. I was looking for a vegan/ plant based option that wasn’t a basic salad minus cheese and meat and she was helpful and creative with options the kitchen could prepare. My ask is that you create a few plant based options with your existing ingredients for the menu. No need for substitute meat options, just beans, potatoes, rice, etc!
Food was good but nothing exceptional. Chips were delicious, 2 kinds, the regular and a homemade looking kind. Salsa and guacamole good. Margaritas were made with a hefty pour of tequila ;-). I ordered a skinny spicy marg and it was so sweet👎. Apparently they couldn’t control the sweetness on a spicy margarita so the waitress suggest the boss which was much better, not sugary.
I had the chicken wrap that is deemed to be a bit healthier. The rice on the plate was served quite cold and lacked flavor. The actual wrap was tasty. Our waitress was pleasant.
Server and service were excellent. Food quality excellent. Because we were first timers, they served one of tamales to us gratis- it was delicious.
Good food. Service not great this particular day.
Service was a little on the slow side. Water glasses were not filled often enough without asking. Food ordered was generally decent other than Shrimp fajitas which only had 3 shrimp and the veggies were greasy.
The best. Lobster Street Tacos are the best.
We had reserved an outdoor table for 7 PM.
We were told that people were not getting up after they had paid their bill. We weren’t seated until 730. Our server was excellent we’ve had her before. We had four people and three of the entrées were ice cold almost as if they were taken right out of the refrigerator. It took nearly a half hour to get our food after we ordered it besides. Only the chicken fajita was hot. We told our server and she said she would go speak to the manager who never came out. The server did adjust the bill which we appreciated but we felt like the manager should’ve come out. We live locally and we dine and jalapeño Inferno frequently.
We met a friend for a casual dinner out. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. The food and drinks were very good and it was easy to chat and catch up, would recommend highly as a nice, casual place with good food and drinks with a laid back vibe.
We arrived early for our reservation but they willingly seated us anyhow. Service was fine. Food is consistently great. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable.
The food was good. The drinks were okay, could’ve been better
Took reservations, had good fajitas and enchiladas, outdoor seating with plenty of heaters
The service was poor.
Good food good service I think says it all and don't know why it needs to haver 50 characters
Very good food and great service! We will definitely go back.
Food is excellent, the usual array with many other unique creations. Service was quick and friendly...
Fantastic experience as it always is! One of our favorites!
Server was rude & stressed out
My Cousins were visiting from San Diego and they wanted to have My Mexican Cuisine. I checked the website for Jalapeno Inferno in the DC Ranch Matketplace. I passed by many times on my way to Grimaldi's. The Website looked outstanding but we were very disappointed. We all ordered the quesadilla. They were so dry & tasteless with very little ingredients. I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend dining there. I have been to the Spotted Donkey many times and the dining is exceptional. It's just that I wanted to show my Cousins the DC Ranch area.
Just sat outside and enjoyed the night overlooking market street, food was great and the atmosphere perfect supported by great service
The staff made our first time visit great. The Mango margarita is a new favorite.
Great service all around! Food is consistently tasty. Awesome burger too. Love the black cherry sangria!
Fantastic as usual
Food was not good. I ordered chicken fajitas and I got one pepper and the rest was all onions and chicken. Tortilla shells were hard. My husband got the seafood fajitas and there was chicken in it and he wasn’t sure which was the shrimp and which was the crab meat; our friend ordered it too and he said the same thing. Tortilla chips were not good. We are here 3 years ago and we decided to try it again. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
The food was very good and the outdoor dining was a quiet location. The did run out of ingredients for a drink they were promoting. The waitress was training a new person and the service was slow.
