JaK’s Grill is a neighborhood steakhouse. We keep it simple: quality beef, seafood, seasonal produce, plates with some weight to them, and the best in service and hospitality. Nothing flashy—just a menu built around value and consistency. We've been part of West Seattle and Issaquah for nearly 30 years, and we’re still here doing what we do. Reservations are a good idea, but not required.

Love the new West Seattle space, with booths that still offer privacy and minimize noise. We’d give Caleb our server 10 stars if we could, he was fantastic. Food and drink choices as usual were superb.

I took my wife and our daughter to Jak’s to celebrate her leaving for college (University of Glasgow - Scotland) in September. My wife and I both got the boneless ribeyes (hers medium rare and mine medium) and our daughter got an 8 ounce filet mignon (medium). All of the steaks had tremendous flavor, our only critique, the fat in the boneless ribeyes needed to be rendered. Deonello Hines

25++ yrs dining at Jaks. It has always been excellent. This was the exception. Service was so bad. 22min get a beverage 55min to be served food. Portion sizes radically smaller than before. We were starving afterwards. Just terrible for our guests too. Very embarrassing.

Great food. The water was the worst water I have ever tasted. The servers were not the friendliest. Great crab cakes.

I've been a long time fan and patron of Jaks in West Seattle and this was the first experience at the new location. Overall experience was very good and I love the appearance. However, the menu has changed dramatically along with the accompanying side dishes. Long gone are the salads that come with the steaks, instead they are one if the side choices. And the quality is lacking in the salad. Its just lettuce....no cheese, shredded carrots, croutons, etc that I knew from the past. So....its a boring $9.00 side dish. Otherwise, the quality of the steaks are still great, but I do miss the prime rib dinner...maybe that's once again only on chosen days.

Jak’s new space in West Seattle is stunning. Super nice host staff and excellent service from the wait staff. The meal was delicious! Our steaks were cooked perfectly. And our sides were yummy as well. We will definitely be back when the prime rib makes a return!

We had a 10am reservation and had a 15minute wait in a long line on Sunday morning. The old Jaks seated promptly and with good cheer.

2nd time I’ve been here. 2nd time I got the rib eye. 2nd time I was disappointed. I don’t complain no was with a date and didn’t feel the need. I asked for med rare and it came out rare and way too chewy. Rest of the food was great. I saw my dates filet that she asked for med well and that had too much pink and looked more med rare. Uggh Sorry this place cannot get the temperature on the steaks right. A shame, cause a cool vibe and great service but I’m there for a good steak and have yet to get one. Probably won’t be back.
