Excellent waitress - steak was a little too salty. We always like to go to Jake’s!
Our server was excellent. Very cramped seating. Went for our anniversary and was like we were sitting with the tables around us. Not very romantic.
Overall the food was good, however the service was beyond slow both at the bar and at the table.
Second visit to Jake’s, and it was a busy Friday night. Food quality was good and Kathleen’s service was attentive.
Jake's food is phenomenal. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The atmosphere is wonderful. While Jake's is on the pricey side of restaurants, it's far more reasonable than other steak houses in the area. Our waitress could have visited us a couple more times than she did to refill drinks or see how we were doing.
The food was delicious but the portion sizes were way too small for the price.
This was my second time at Jake’s. We had Kim as our waitress again and she is wonderful. Perfectly present and definitely makes the experience. We were also seated by the fireplace which was nice too!
Great service and excellent meal.
We had a Filet and the Panko and Macadamia Nut Crusted Walleye. The food was very good and the service (Julia) was excellent. My only knock was that it was pricey. I frequent several upscale steak restaurants in the Milwaukee area. Jake's was toward the top in quality, but one of the most expensive - a little over $70 per person for a steak, glass of house wine, and an appetizer to share. I believe my 8 oz Filet was $48 including two sides.
Amazing!!! After almost 5 years living in Brookfield I found this Gem!!!! I really recommend!!!!
Tables way too tight, server was just okay.
We went to this restaurant for my husbands birthday and all ordered steaks. Approximately one hour after eating we all developed headaches and flushing which we have experienced previously with MSG exposure.
Great mushroom soup!! Our favorite restaurant in metro Milwaukee.
As always, our dining experience was superb. The wait staff are there when you want them and always friendly and knowledgeable. We have been dining with Jake’s for decades. The food has always and continues to amaze us. It’s a favorite with us. Out of town friends and family always want to come here when visiting. We like to pop in during the winter at the bar for a drink and gaze at the fire during dinner. Summer is nice out on the patio too! Brookfield’s gem!!
Fabulous food and service. One of our favorite restaurants for family and business functions.
We booked our reservation in advance so we were expecting the usual cozy ambiance but were seated in the sports bar and it was loud, distracting and not at all what we had hoped for. Next time we will request the large dining room with the fireplace and quiet atmosphere. The food was excellent as usual, but it was drowned out by the bar. Very disappointing $100 meal.
Another outstanding dinner at Jakes. Mary Jo was excellent server on a very busy evening.
Jackie and Emma managed the restaurant competently. Food was excellent, as usual.
We have always had great food and service. Steaks are great, but so are seafood offerings. Love the Happy Hour drinks and apps too!
Been going to Jakes for many years. Never a bad experience. Great food and service.
Bar service was sub-par this time around. Looked like they were training new staff maybe? Not normal service we have become accustomed to.
Steaks and fish delicious! Pretty pricey. Cozy fire to start, but no one kept it going.
It was the Monday night special which is a good value but drinks/wine are expensive and all add ons are expensive as well. It was very noisy.
Made reservations for 815 but was not seated until closer to 900 for party six for dinner . Did receive a free complimentary Appetizer. For the wait.
We have been eating at Jake’ s for years! Food and service always good! Have never had a bad meal.
My steak was undercooked but still good. It was a little cramped. The server bumped into my husband a few times at the serving station behind us. But it was still better than 90 percent of restaurants.
Rob, our waiter, was great. Outstanding food as usual, looking forward to returning.
First off, our server Mary was absolutely outstanding! We arrived early for a 6 PM reservation and were seated right away due to the full bar area on Valentine’s Day. Wine selection and appetizers are delicious. We had the bone-on filet mignon on which was terrific. All of the à la cart sides were delicious except for the creamed spinach… It wasn’t really creamed just very greasy/buttery spinach. Our only major complaint was the closeness of all the tables. It is a very cramped dining room and does not lend itself to private conversations. Open up the space and this would be a five star rating. We will definitely be back but in the middle of the week.
Great service from our waiter rob. A one.
Steak was excellent as always.
Attitude at desk is they could have cared less if we were there. We got there early for our reservation and politely asked if we could be seated earlier. The dining room was about 10% full. No way! Not like let me check or let me try and find somewhere for you to sit to wait all that time...........after 15 minutes or so two people left the bar and we sat there to eat. Never any follow up, canceled our Open Table reservation and the food was very expensive and lukewarm when we received. Too bad this is an iconic name in the area. My parents went there in the 1960's and food used to be excellent.
This is a great place that is warm in atmosphere with great food.
Food and service were excellent. Food was pricey. Mixed drinks were VERY pricey. eg. $10.50 for a rail manhattan. Best time to go is during Happy Hour to avoid the high drink prices.
Food is always good, but Tina our waitress made it truly special.
Special valentine celebration
Had the duck. It was wonderful. Aldo, the Brussels sprouts are to die for!!
The only thing I had a problem with, but really isn't fully their fault was it took 30 min past our reservation time to get seated. They assign reservations to a table instead of ad the tables come available, but the food was well worth the wait. The waitress I had was amazing as well, realty nice and helpful.
Off the charts deeeeelicious! I'm a foodie and absolutely everything we had from a starter salad, appetizer to our entrees was flawless....cooked to perfection and so flavorful. We kept looking at each other with each bite and repeating, "this is sooooo good".
*Get a reservation and enjoy a beautiful dinner~
Went there with the family for a fancy dinner. They all had steak which I know from previous experience is terrific. I went off script and had the lamb. Succulent is the only word needed. I wish I could dine there every night.
Service was awesome!
Always a great experience at Jake's. Never had a bad experience. The food was phenomenal. Our waitress, Kim, is excellent and we will be requesting her for all future visits. She remembered us from a year ago and always has spot on recommendations. Never have we been disappointed in the 20+ years we have dined there. 1000% recommend and so worth the cost.
Asked for a specific drink, it was made wrong and they didn't do anything about it. Friends did not get their double baked potatoes with their leftovers, instead they got the wild rice they told them they didn't want.
