We had a wonderful experience at Jake’s. We were seated promptly for our reservation. We were quickly greeted by our waitress. Our drinks and appetizers came out quickly. Perfect time to enjoy before our dinner came. Our food was prepared perfectly. We even got a complementary dessert for our anniversary.
Food was fair at best and not worth the money.
We were looking for a great burger and found it at Jakes. Great waitstaff and friendly people dining all around us.
Our waitress was wonderful and the food was great
Dinner with friends. Wonderful food, great service.
We have not been to Jake's in a long time. The food was good but really overpriced. The restaurant seemed dated. Waitress was excellent.
Food is always delicious the service is always friendly
Jake's was a fun place to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary! They even gave us a desert with a "love" candle on it!!! Our meal of filet mignon was excellent- we loved the bacon wrapped water chestnut appetizers, too.
The only thing we thought was strange was that you could order a salad OR 2 sides . . .
Had the Monday night special Tenderloin and it was a very dry steak.
Reservation for 745 wasn't seated for almost 30 minutes after that.. We actually got there at 715 and were hoping to get seated a little earlier but not 39 minutes late.
Great food and awesome service. Would definitely recommend
Arrived at 5:20 for our 5:30 reservation. Doors were locked. They expect customers to wait outside until doors are opened at 5:30. This did not make me feel welcomed. Food, atmosphere, and presentation not on par with other restaurants that charge this much. I won’t be going back.
Great setting, we were seated about 20 minutes after sitting at the bar and that is not a complaint. Hostess was cordial. Food was great
Food was good but not great. Service was exceptional.
It was delicious
Great service and porterhouse for two was perfectly prepared. Better meal than steakhouses downtown.
Outstanding food. Wait staff awesome. Drinks great. Perfect dinner out
With excellent food preparation, delightful staff, charming old world ambiance and Capitol Airport right across the street, I recommend it to all my flying friends. Best "fly-in" restaurant in Wisconsin.
Food was very good and the service was excellent!
Our steaks were cooked to perfection (Charred Rare and Medium Rare).
The Onion Strings were the best as usual, still the same as when my parents brought them home when I was a child.
The waitress was very polite and smiled a lot even with her taking care of a lot of tables.
The only thing bad I would have to say was that we never received any glasses of water. Even after a while the waitress apologized saying "Oh, I should get you guys some water, sorry it's just been busy." And we said "That would be great." And we left with never getting any water.
Always a favotite place to get a great steak and awesome service!
Food was good. Service was excellent. one request would be for the bar to have Roses lime juice for vodka gimlets in addition to fresh lime juice for those of us who prefer Roses, which is not so tart.
Always a great meal! Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere.
The staff is just outstanding, very happy to accommodate preferences and requests, and pleasant and friendly. We had their classic dishes, Caesar salads and steaks, and they were as good as ever. Also had roasted bone marrow as an appetizer and it was better than I’ve had in much pricier restaurants. The steak is expensive but so worth it.
Food & service was awesome. Definitely would go back again.
Jake's is a place for us to go to when we celebrate special occasions. The food is tasty and prepared as ordered. The atmosphere is quiet and enjoyable. The staff is experienced and you are not rushed to eat or leave. We will return for our 60th anniversary.
Everything was awesome …will keep come back and tell everyone to go there they will not be disappointed
I would change nothing - absolutely amazing food - service was on point - drinks bomb -
Great food, service was outstanding. We will be back!!
Food was delicious as always!
We’ve been to Jakes many times and have never had a bad meal or bad service.
Great food with great service.
My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Jake's! We hope to come back again soon!
Birthday and Father’s Day.
We have eaten at Jake's a number of times. The service is always friendly and informative. However, this time around, we weren't WOWED by the food as we have been in the past. The asparagus was average at best. The crispy brussel sprouts left a lot to be desired. They were chewy for sur sure. My wife ordered her 14oz. pork chop medium well done. I actually detected pink in spots, not to be expected for any pork dish that I'm aware of. Deserts were very good. I had the choc mousse with Meyer's rum and my wife had the creme bru le (not sure of the spelling here - lol). I know Jake's can do better than this. It was a Friday night, but fish fry was not on our minds at all!
Great food and quick, nice servers. Menu selection is a good size and large bar had lots of drink options. I would say that for the price, the inside could use a bit of updates and upgrades.
Staff is very friendly. Alesha was a great server. Good recommendations. Atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Sooo much better than any chain steakhouse I have been to. Will make this a regular stop!
I have been to Jake's before, but not for many years. My first impressions: menu printed on paper--cheap. No tablecloths--cheap. The food was very good. The service was very good. The menu is a bit limited. The seasonal soup was outstanding.
We were so happy to find a quiet restaurant with a great choice of entrees not limited to burgers and pasta in our neighborhood.
14 yr anniversary
Everything was good just a notch below great. Server was super friendly. She was the best part of our experience.
