   A great meal. The steelhead trout was amazing! Our server was very attentive and her menu recommendations were right on. The apple dessert was a nice sweet ending with ice cream. This is a Portland classic that is well worth a visit!

   We loved Jake’s 15 years ago, we loved it this time! Met an old friend, had a wonderful server and tried a new variety of oysters. Disappointed to miss the Kumamotos but these were delicious and larger. Excellent food, amazing house salad with balsamic vinegar. Wish we were in town longer to eat at Jake’s again!

   We arrived with a reservation and a party of 6 on a Saturday evening. Our Server was prompt, as were the appetizers and drinks. Our dinner arrived fairly fast, about 20 minutes. Our food was dropped off and we saw our Server quickly and he was gone, the place was busy. Upon starting our food most of the dishes tasted bland. The Sturgeon was completely raw. Finally, were able to get our Server's attention we returned the Sturgeon, approximately 30 minutes later the manager arrived and delivered a new plate of Sturgeon. Everyone else had finished, so we ordered drinks while our friend ate a small amount of the sturgeon because she felt so awkward with all of us having already finished. The food was bland, sturgeon undercooked, and service slow. I've been a big Jakes fan for years, but this is by far the worst meal I have had at Jakes. We never seen anyone again, the check was dropped off in a one pass. We paid the $500+ billed, and went home extremely disappointed.

   Asked for and got the nook window table; promptly seated, orders taken and served. Everyone was pleased with their selections—clam chowder, cedar-plank salmon, scampi, chicken Marsala, pan fried oysters, clams, shrimp cocktail, chocolate mouse, crème boule, and key lime pie.

   Jake's and St. Patrick's Day. What a huge disappointment. Looks like other or the lack of others our disappointment was sharded. I have at least a 40 year history with you guys. As your owner says there are no spare customers. Our server was a delight.

   Came in with high expectations considering its reputation as being one of the best seafood restaurants in the country. I’ve been to a lot of seafood restaurants from the all along the east coast to Chicago and Seattle so I thought this would compare. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I was incredibly disappointed with my entree. On the menu the Pacific Cod is listed as being pan seared with Dungeness Crab & Bay Shrimp. It was just ok. I didn’t even notice any crab and the shrimp were the smallest I’ve ever seen. I didn’t even finish it, which is unusual. It definitely wasn’t worth $35.

    Took my parents out to dinner and we just had a spectacular time. The service is top notch and the food is consistent and really good. We love the old school feel.

    I have to say this was the most disappointing restaurant visit for as long as I can remember, our waiter did not care, his manner was rude. He seemed not the least concerned that one of Portland's supposedly sea food restaurants has nothing to apologize for when they do not offer any wild salmon-this is the Pacific NW. My wife had fish and chips, overcooked and dried out. Did enjoy some oysters though. Had to wait far to long for our cocktails-the bar was backed up, waiter please show at least a little concern for your guest. My martini glass was warm, not good enough-Jakes. The wine list is not extensive, but they had no Lange pinot gris. I received the check-no check, no credit card we gave the waiter to ensure our guests had no opportunity to take care of it. Had to find the manager to find out where out card was. Will not ever go back.

    The food was actually very good but unfortunately our service was less than desirable. We planned an early dinner because we had an event to attend but there were 2 large parties right next to us and they became the priorities (our group was 4). We did not even get our dinner order taken until an hour after arrival. We literally had our dinners served and had to ask for the check at the same time because we needed to leave by 7:15. So no dessert! We should’ve been able to have a nice relaxing dinner in 2 hours time. Definitely will rethink this restaurant if we have plans following dinner. We enjoyed the raw oysters, the calamari was a little under cooked/fried but the shrimp scampi was delicious! Too bad we had to be rushed!

    Great window booth. Food is consistently good. Although the birthday guest’s name was on the menu and I mentioned it several times in talking to the server, no complimentary dessert or candle was brought out or subtracted from the bill. This is a disappointing change to past celebrations there. Also, coffee was burnt and not easily refilled. Still would go back. Past servers have made birthdays special there.

    Out waiter was excellent, the food was excellent. Grateful for the shades at our booth (not a great view). The table of about 8 very drunk people right next to us were annoying but that's not entirely the restaurants fault. The food is expensive, but well enough prepared and high enough quality that it's worth it if you like seafood/fish. Overall a wonderful experience and we'll be celebrating at Jake's again someday.

    The server did not seem to care at all that we were there. He almost seemed irritated when we asked for bread or ordered more drinks. It’s a shame because I brought a friend here that was visiting from Colorado and the food is so amazing that it was a shame that the service had to be that way and our bill was not cheap. It was over $200.

    As usual, on a visit to downtown Portland Jake's Famous Crawfish is a bucket list "must" restaurant at which to dine. For the quality of the service and food, the menu's prices are quite reasonable.

    Absolutely did not disappoint! Seafood is fresh and prepared with love. It has to be to taste this delicious. If you’re in the mood for a steak you will not be disappointed! Filet Mignon melted in your mouth. Salads and chowder was also top notch. It’s been over 15 years since I was here. I won’t wait that long to come back. A little speedy but the quality is well worth it.

    Morgan was wonderful! Friends and family were celebrating my 77th birthday with me! I had the sautéed crab legs but should have ordered the crab cocktail as I was craving crab and the sauce was too overpowering . Overall wonderful time especially after the noise level abated. Mahalo
