Jadis is a seriously hidden gem, that I am almost hesitant to share with the world! The wine list is delightful, the food is great, and the ambiance is top notch. It's the perfect spot for a date, a catch up with friends, especially when you want that more intimate atmosphere.
I’ve been a repeat customer at Jadis for many reasons and my last visit only re-established why, even during this Coronavirus pandemic. It’s my go-to for something that is unique, intimate, cozy, off the beaten path (but not too far!), with solid food and a great wine selection. I’ve brought clients here and they’ve always been impressed as it’s not the typical busy street of the city and we can have easy conversations and share food and wine in a relaxed yet professional environment. The quintessential New York Lower East Side experience.
Great outdoor dining experience! Wonderful wine recommendations and the cheese plate was fantastic!
The Serrano ham and lamb prosciutto were old, and honestly tasted a bit bitter when it should not. They were also sliced incorrectly.
I notified the server, Anthony, who was so attentive and sweet. We then received a complimentary wine glass.
Cozy couches in the back.
Staff here is amazing. They are very accommodating and responsive.
This was my second time dining at Jadis and it was great. Really good food, reasonable prices, lovely ambiance and very friendly and helpful service. My 3 dining companions were also very impressed.
If there is one thing that did take detract from the dining experience is that Jadis does not serve warm beverages ie coffee, hot chocolate or tea, even though they are listed on their online menu. When we asked why, we were told that because the restaurant opens at 5pm, there's no need for it?? French and no coffee? No way! We all found that to be a strange response and would have loved to have had a warm cup of nonalcoholic something on such a cold NYC evening.
Thouroughly enjoyed this restaurant
We really enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be adding Jadis to our regular rotation going forward. The tarte flambee in part was a revelation and the service was excellent!
A cozy french wine bar. Food is good and everything is moderately priced. A good place for friends catching up or bring your date.
Amazing as always! Thank you Edith!!
See you soon!
Good place for a small plates meal on Lowe East Side.
Perfect experience! It’s a beautiful place, very cozy and chill. Very good for a date night, evening with friends or any small group gathering. Food was really good - options for Gluten Free and vegetarian.
Excellent place to meet with friends and talk while drinking wine and having a nice time.
I took my girlfriend here when we were doing a staycation on the Lower East Side. The food they offer is mostly small plates, but also salads, paninis, and quiches, though I've read that they regularly change the menu. The food is not too expensive, entrees are 15-25 dollars and small plates are 8-12. They also have a great selection of meats and cheeses for creating your own plate. The wine list is not especially extensive, but the bottle I had was great, and the entire list is also reasonably priced. It is cozy and dark, romantic for couples. Would recommend!
Great low key place with yummy food that caters to a variety of dietary needs
Service was very accommodating and very nice; they took the time to go over the menu with us and explain each and every cheese; the cheese board was unique and well worth the money. Portions were good and wine was delicious; we got a bottle of wine and it was well worth the money and reasonably priced.
Nice and cozy restaurant has some small dishes to bite and sip wine.
I tried their quiche and I like it.
Most relaxing wine bar I’ve ever been to. The ambience and food set the scene for a lovely evening out.
A chill beautiful spot
Take a date here
Wine was god but expensive for value, food was very bad and not refined at all. Very disappointed...
Had a very nice evening, food was good needed a little seasoning. With a little salt the mushroom risotto was delicious!
Great wine list and terrific small plates. But most outstanding was the service. Very attentive (not hovering). We'll be back!
Terrific little unpretentious spot. Enjoyed it very much.
Their food and their wine are amazing! Will definitely come back more!!
The service was quite unpleasant but would probably try one more time for the food and the drinks.
Loved this place: can't believe we hadn't tried it before! Our waitress turned out to be the owner, and she couldn't have been lovelier. Perfect spot to bring friends or your special someone. Excellent wine list and an eclectic menu filled with unexpected treats, all at reasonable prices: we will be back again and again.
Comfortable space. Interesting food. Friendly, attentive staff. An enjoyable evening.
The ambience was relaxed and friendly. Very comfortable whether sitting at bar or table
or couches in the back. The whole artichoke we ordered was amazing and the food in
general was really good. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely return!!
Wanted to take some out-of-town friends to a unique place were we could sample different dishes and talk. We went there on a Wednesday night and had a great experience. Our server was fun and took the time to talk to us, explain dishes, etc.
eggplant dip was less than mediocre
I've been to Jadis about 7 times and each time this neighborhood wine bar never disappoints. It has a sophisticated relaxing atmosphere. The service, wine, and food are all perfect for a romantic night out or a causal relaxing night out with friends.
Great wine list and love the Tapas, always recommend.
Great value. Very laid back. Good food.
