Great evening With delicious food and a great wine selection, reasonably priced. The service was friendly and impeccable. Neighborhood gem!
Very calm and relaxing atmosphere, nice decor reminding of Europe, attentive and polite service. Food came well prepared, strongly recommend the duck / cassoulet. Good value!
Wonder french-Mediterranean neighborhood gem. Very reasonable prices for outstanding food and a very good wine list. Staff were very kind and attentive.
Lovely place ,super super small portions
Wonderful meal and great service
This restaurant was outstanding. It was our first time coming here and it is an ideal place for a date. Quiet, very cute location with a stunning interior décoration. The service was very attentive, the food was incredible from starter to dessert. The crème brulée was just perfect; best one I have ever eaten. Strong recommendation for this hidden gem
This is a gem of a wine bar/restaurant. The food is delicious, beautifully prepared and served, and reasonably priced. If you're looking for a great east village place to eat delicious food, drink really nice wine, where you can hear one another talk (whether sitting outside or inside), and not break the bank, Jadis is the place for you!
Cute little wine bar. I went with my firend from Paris and and it really seemed more tapas oriented. It was very nice
Went to Jadis after the Van Gogh exhibit at Pier 36. Read a lot of great reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The food was amazing. The wine list had a lot of options in terms of types of wines and price range. The service really makes this place. Our server was Edit and she was spot-on. Gave us great recommendations and made sure we didn’t over order. Lots of places will just push more and more but she told us when to stop and said we could always order more later. There was no rushing us out. And she was super sweet. Can’t wait to get back there.
The food was delicious, service and staff impeccable as well as the extremely knowledgable. Super cute spot!
What an incredible find. The ambiance is warm and the service is great. The food was excellent...but not copious. So order more than you think you'll need. The best part about Jadis is the space. It feel more like a European wine bar than something you'd find in NYC. My bog ask: Get seats with backs. It gets uncomfortable sitting on a stool for a couple of hours.
We really enjoyed the restaurant. We has an early dinner, it is a good place to go later in the day and enjoy the food and wine selection.
This place never disappoints, the wine, the food, the staff, everything was amazing! I’m so happy they pulled through the pandemic and can’t wait to return!
Jadis is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I used to go all the time when I worked nearby. The food is delicious, service is wonderful and the vibe energetic yet cozy. It’s the perfect spot for any occasion: date night, friends meetup, etc. The owner and staff are wonderful.
Amazing food. Best cheese in city!
Unexpectedly excellent. Had a full dinner with drinks and it was not only reasonably priced but delicious. Will absolutely be going back. The server was pleasant and observant.
We arrived early for our reservation and asked for an outside table and they accommodated us immediately. Eating outside on a beautiful night was a must and it’s also the reason for the “moderate” noise level. Inside is really nice and relatively quiet but it was just too nice out to eat inside. People watching was also part of the fun.
Food was amazing! We shared tuna tartare and then each had our own order of escargot. We then shared the beet and goat cheese salad and the smoked salmon. The plates were all very good and finished off with my wife’s favorite, the Chocolate Fondant (lava cake). Everything was excellent as was the staff. Never rushed which was just what we wanted. We will definitely come back when we come down to visit our son.
As always it was great
Fantastic food, the foie gras terrine is marvelous and the Provencal tarte flambee was delicious. Service is great. Nice neighborhood spot with great quality food and a strong wine list.
Loved our experience here. Wonderful food and great ambience.
Jadis has great food, reasonably priced wine, and a great ambiance. I’ll definitely go back!
This is my go to cozy spot with a great selection of wine and perfect variety of food to share with my company 💕
Truly wonderful ambiance and delicious food. Very romantic!
The service was great and the food was delicious!
This did turn out to be the hidden gem that a reviewer said it was. The food was great but though they say moderately priced the small plates are kinda really mini plates. But the quality was great. It took a while to get the food but we didn’t mind as we were enjoying the lovely rustic ambiance. I wish they would open up the rear ended which is the best part of the restaurant as were a little close to a large table that was beyond loud. The server was very nice and even gave us a complimentary splash of wine for our dessert. Really glad to have found this place. Perfect to unwind after the week in cozy warm vibes.
Perfect wine bar great service my second time visiting this place and it has kept its consistency, everything is very filling
Jadis is a seriously hidden gem, that I am almost hesitant to share with the world! The wine list is delightful, the food is great, and the ambiance is top notch. It's the perfect spot for a date, a catch up with friends, especially when you want that more intimate atmosphere.
I’ve been a repeat customer at Jadis for many reasons and my last visit only re-established why, even during this Coronavirus pandemic. It’s my go-to for something that is unique, intimate, cozy, off the beaten path (but not too far!), with solid food and a great wine selection. I’ve brought clients here and they’ve always been impressed as it’s not the typical busy street of the city and we can have easy conversations and share food and wine in a relaxed yet professional environment. The quintessential New York Lower East Side experience.
Great outdoor dining experience! Wonderful wine recommendations and the cheese plate was fantastic!
The Serrano ham and lamb prosciutto were old, and honestly tasted a bit bitter when it should not. They were also sliced incorrectly.
I notified the server, Anthony, who was so attentive and sweet. We then received a complimentary wine glass.
Cozy couches in the back.
Staff here is amazing. They are very accommodating and responsive.
This was my second time dining at Jadis and it was great. Really good food, reasonable prices, lovely ambiance and very friendly and helpful service. My 3 dining companions were also very impressed.
If there is one thing that did take detract from the dining experience is that Jadis does not serve warm beverages ie coffee, hot chocolate or tea, even though they are listed on their online menu. When we asked why, we were told that because the restaurant opens at 5pm, there's no need for it?? French and no coffee? No way! We all found that to be a strange response and would have loved to have had a warm cup of nonalcoholic something on such a cold NYC evening.
Thouroughly enjoyed this restaurant
We really enjoyed our first visit and will definitely be adding Jadis to our regular rotation going forward. The tarte flambee in part was a revelation and the service was excellent!
A cozy french wine bar. Food is good and everything is moderately priced. A good place for friends catching up or bring your date.
Amazing as always! Thank you Edith!!
See you soon!
Good place for a small plates meal on Lowe East Side.
Perfect experience! It’s a beautiful place, very cozy and chill. Very good for a date night, evening with friends or any small group gathering. Food was really good - options for Gluten Free and vegetarian.
