   Honestly don’t know how this restaurant gets good reviews. We were a group of 5 for lunch. Those who ordered drinks said they were good. I ordered a Diet Coke. It came flat. Tried a ginger ale . Also flat. Tried hot tea. Awful. One dish out of five was good. Everything else was just ok. Took home 4 sushi rolls for my family for dinner and they were awful. Two were inedible and had to be thrown out. The wasabi was a green color I had never seen before.

   Overall very nice restaurant. Ambiance was very nice with nice colors, and fish pond in the middle. Bar looked great. Service was fast. Prices were on the higher side for the portions provided. Sushi, and indian Chinese items were good. The lamb entree was a little too sweet.

   Jade Eatery and Lou was such a beautiful place. I will definitely go back there. The food was good very nice display the statues beautiful the Koi fish, beautiful just everything about it. Spacious fancy very very nice place.

   Food was below average and their scallop sashimi could not be served because “it was bad, still frozen” - GROSS! Service was slow and the sushi was over priced for mediocre options. Kani was definitely not real crab, seemed like it was the kind you buy in a bag at the supermarket. And the hot sake was not hot, maybe luke warm. Ambiance was very nice though, coy pond was a very cool touch. Won’t be going back and won’t recommend.

   The place is absolutely stunning however the food is not good. The Rock shrimp tempura was over cooked and had an extremely thick coating of tempura, the tuna tartar was this weird mixture of tempura flakes mashed up with some kind of fish (even though the pic on the menu looks like a normal tuna tartar -red in color etc) & the crispy rice was just straight gross and inedible- Wrong in texture and so extremely sticky it felt like I was chewing on caramel that kept sticking to my teeth. My guest and I left shortly after trying the few items and all of them being disappointing.

   Been to the Queens location in Forest Hills. Loved the food, vibes and ambience. We decided to go to this location for Valentine’s Day since parking would be better. However it wasn’t so great. Yes, the food was good and drinks were also great. Service was also fast. However for vibes and ambience we will give a 2/10. Felt like a mall restaurant…DJ’s music felt like it downgraded the place. Vertical blinds on window are tacky. Did not feel like a classy date night spot. More like family/lunch spot or to have a casual dinner. Oh and they also charged $31 gratuity automatically. Go to the Forest Hills location if you’re big on ambience and overall vibes, which we are. But if you’re looking for casual dinner and good food then go for it!

    A Wonderful Turnaround at Jade Eatery I wanted to take a moment to follow up on my previous review of Jade Eatery. After sharing my experience, the owner reached out to me directly and was extremely apologetic. He assured me that the level of service I encountered was not the standard they strive for, and he kindly invited us back to give the Hicksville location another try. I’m so glad we did! The difference was night and day. Our server, Pemma, was gracious, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. Every suggestion she made was spot on, and her attentive service made the meal even more enjoyable. Our experience this time exceeded our expectations. The lychee martinis were perfect, the chicken teriyaki wings were some of the best we’ve ever had anywhere, and the sushi presentation was lovely. To top it off, the desserts were wonderful and provided the perfect end to a fantastic meal. We’re happy to say that Jade Eatery will now be on our list as a go-to place, and we’re excited to return again soon. We also can’t wait for their third location to open in Port Washington! Thank you to the owner and team for turning things around and showing us what Jade Eatery is truly about. Looking forward to many more visits!
