Jacques Waterfront Dining
Currently we are open for dinner every day except Sundays. We will reopen for lunch on the 4th of December. Our Jazz Brunch will recommence on the 7th of January 2018.
We were a party of 7 and half our meals were ok and the other half lacking in taste.
For the amount we paid I would suggest eating in rather than splurging on this...
Great view, can be warm outside while dining. Mango chicken and lamb were excellent. Would not recommend the beef dish. Appetizers were delish and the staff was top notch. Great evening!!
Best food we had while in St Lucia
Terrific setting, great food. Rather than the service being indifferent it is european, in that you will be left to relax and enjoy rather than given a check promptly when done eating. Just ask if you're ready to depart and it will come readily. Very romantic setting.
Fair food, rather inattentive service. Though, the main issue was that they didn’t have our reservation made through Opentable in their books.
We had to send our meals back twice each as they were served extremely Well don for steaks ordered medium and medium rare. They then came back out and served them rare or extremely undercooked.
The owner/manager then argued instead of apologizing and said it was our fault that we sent our meals back twice
This restaurant has a great location with a view overlooking the bay. The meal was delicious and the service was friendly. For appetizers, a must order is the leek, portobello, and goat cheese tart. The salad was fresh but not very flavourful. Then entrees were also fresh and well portioned. Desserts (coconut creme brulee and vanilla gateaux) were delicious and generously portioned. It’s not a cheap place to eat but great for a special occasion.
Great place for a romantic dinner. Very quiet and the staff was super friendly.
We were staying near Rodney Bay in early Feb. This was a very good find in the area and we recommend it to others. The goat cheese tort is a must.
Very romantic soft music Kenny G service was fantastic great atmosphere definitely the gem of St Lucia
Closed due to fire... looked like it would have been nice. Solid reviews
Jacques is a very nice restaurant with a sea-level view of the harbor. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. We were there at the beginning of off-season so it was not crowded. I would imagine during high season, it would be bustling.
Had a delicious dinner there and the service was excellent! A great place to spend a relaxing evening with very friendly owners and staff. Food was excellent!!
The food was absolutely first rate. I'm a foodie from nyc and this is one of the best resteraunts I've eaten in. If you are a vegan this will work for you. The vegetables were wonderful. Fish and sides excellent.
I liked everything about the restaurant and the food except for the inclusion of iceberg lettuce in the salad. Beautiful lettuce is available in the market so imported iceberg is puzzling.
Food was good but service was terribly slow. Nice location on the waterway into the Rodney Bay marina. Unfortunately, there was a large group in the restaurant that was extremely loud and disruptive, spoiling what would otherwise would have been a nice atmosphere.
They couldn't find reservation. Explained email with Toptable. They said that their Manager would have it and she wasn't in yet.
We saw an empty table at the front so requested that one. It was a straight forward no you can't . We asked why, then girl said because it was reserved. That was fine, but she perhaps needed a little more experience on the meet and greet front.
Starter of prawns good, but starter of portobello mushroom poor. Served in what I think was an escargot dish with a large portion of what tasted like tomato ketchup in the middle. Main of rack of lamb . Presentation could have been better for such a well rated eatery. The plate looked like a Sunday roast i.e. Meat, veg and gravy. The lamb looked like the cutlet had been sliced into 3 as it was so thin, and the sauce was too thick. Other main was chicken, which was slightly disappointing as it was dry. Had to ask for wine we had ordered, and helped ourselves water. Perhaps other tables were more demanding.
Not much ambience, as virtually all white/bright and stark setting , not relaxing.
Try the house claret, it's much more than good ordinary.
