Our menu changes daily to reflect the perpetual bounty of the pacific northwest. We go to great lengths to source our oysters, fish and vegetables, and work directly with our suppliers as much as possible. In fact we are certified smart catch sustainable by the James Beard foundation. 96% of our oysters and fish are certified sustainable.
Jacqueline takes its name from the Wes Anderson film the life aquatic with Steve Zissou, imparting a romantic aesthetic with a nautical flair.
Jacqueline embarked on her maiden voyage August 2016 and continues to grow as a neighborhood favorite.
Such a great restaurant, always amazing flavors, best oysters in town. We were there on fish fry night, and so I had the fish and chips, and they were fantastic. Great, reasonably priced wine list and delectable cocktails too. Highly recommend Jacqueline!
Your buns have shrunk ... I remember the lobster buns being a lot bigger
Amazing service with great food. The staff is so friendly and kind and the food is creative and delicious.
Fabulous and inventive food! Order the fixed-price dinner. A great value and everything was delicious.
Our food was outstanding and our server was very friendly and offered lots of great suggestions. The lobster roll is an absolute must... we ended up ordering aa second round of them! The crudo was delicious and perfectly paired with the citrus. We also really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, poke and the beet salad. We were group of 6 and ordered quite a few items on the menu family style and were pleased with each and every dish!
I enjoyed the dining experience and attention to detail. Service was impeccable. Staff knew their responsibilities and how to service guests. When I had a question about my entree choice the staff member who brought the food could explain in detail. Great menu options with descriptive colorful information. I wish I could have tried everything. Affordable prices. Thank you for the experience and know that I would come back to share Jacqueline with friends or family.
We returned to celebrate birthdays. From 2 months prior. As good. Service was great, attentive and informed.
Food was outstanding. We sampled as much as we could. All of it wonderful. Dollar oysters until 7 were quality. Wine selection was excellent.
Noise level is the only complaint.
One of my favorite spots in Portland. From the cocktails to the service to the food, everything is top notch.
From appetizers to our salads and entrees, Jacqueline delivered! Great spot, which I will definitely frequent again. Our service and server was fantastic as well!
Great service, fantastic food. Unique ambience - like a converted home.
The dining out month three course meal was outstanding.
A phenomenal dining experience! My only regret is I waited so long to come here.
Went to Jacqueline for the first time last Monday night. My husband had a half dozen oysters. He loved all the different “sauces” in the eye droppers! We shared the steak tartar, which was amazing. I ordered the scallops. They were super delicious, and as my husband had been craving fish and chips for a few days, he ordered the Monday night fish fry. It did not disappoint. Great service, too. Looking forward to another meal at Jaqueline.
Went for a birthday dinner. We got wine, oysters, and the chefs choice. One of the best dinners I've had. Thanks Jacqueline!
Food was scrumptious and the ambiance was great. The only negative was the noise level... it was hard to hear our own conversation. But well worth it!
Great place for Happy hour oysters! Food was great and our server was kind- we had a positive experience!
Food was delicious- can’t wait to go back! Especially the crab and lobster appetizers! Music seemed a bit on the loud side. Very warm & welcoming ambiance.
This is a great seafood restaurant. Cool vibe, great food and during happy hour, you can get $ 1 per oyster! We ordered a number of offerings but the Dungeness crab toast & fried whole sea bass with Asian herbs were the best.
We started with 1 dozen oysters. They came with bottles of hot sauce (including horse radish) and mignonettes. The crab toast was decedent, the quail delicious, and the steak tartar is a must. Can not wait to come back!
Tremendous food and exceptional value. One of the best restaurants in Portland on this matrix.
I have had dinner at Jacqueline twice and both times I have enjoyed the best meals I have had in Portland. They are known for their seafood dishes and oyster bar but their side dishes are both innovative and delicious . Try their smoked potatoes, beets and blood orange salad, sauteed sunchokes and Dungeness crab toast. The four of us shared a whole cedar planked trout that was outstanding. If you go during happy hour, they offer $1.00 oysters and a discount beer. Service is attentive and helpful in describing dishes. The ambiance was lovely. Jacqueline is a little pricey but it's worth every penny. If I could, I would dine there every evening.
Super cute small place. Found it after looking at so many Portland restaurants. The food was well done and not to heavy. The service was great. Fun spot! Would definitely go back and recommend!
A bit dark at our table but other than that everything was wonderful. Eat course was fantastic
One of my favorite Portland restaurants. It’s always a treat to dine here, whether with friends, girlfriends, or a date. The oysters and the Dungeness crab toast are must haves.
The trout and oysters were amazing
Valentine’s Day early celebration. This is traditionally what my husband and I do and we couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Love the food and our wait person was outstanding and very helpful in helping us order. We will will be back, as so many people are doing, which is why it’s so hard to get a weekend reservation! Understand totally! The food and flavorings are outstanding! Kudos to the chefs and wait staff!
Loved everything. Best place to dine for seafood.
Best seafood in Portland!
Great and innovative dishes. Excellent service. Too noisy.
Amazing food and great deals during happy hour. Some of the tables are super close together, but other than that, really great place!
Third time there, won't be my last! Always do the chef's menu, which is a great deal and never fails to impress.
Had a typically great dinner. Only hitch was they forget our order of a dozen oysters. But when we reminded our server about it, she quickly got us the oysters and gave the dish to us at half price.
My friend and I ordered oysters, the crab toast, the tare tare, sea bass, and scallops. The oysters and crab toast were wonderful! However, I'd skip the tare tare and scallops. Both were bland and uninteresting. Nice, cozy vibe and good service.
Lovely dining experience! We had the chef's menu and we left so stuffed! We really enjoy this great Portland dining gem.
Wonderful experience all around. Highly recommend the oysters and the trout!
The dinner my friends, wife and I had at Jacqueline was magnificent. It is, without question, the best and most innovative seafood restaurant in Portland. In fact, our dinner was among the top five meals I have had in my 19 years of living in PDX. What a jewel the Chef's Selection turned out to be!
A garden of earthly delights!
We enjoyed the meal very much. The food and service were excellent. We really had a lot food for a reasonable price. We had the multi-course chef’s meal. The seasoning and sauces were very good, and very carefully done without being overly small or fancy for fancy’s sake. I would come back over and over again.
This was my wife and I's first time to Jacqueline's - and we loved it. May now be our favorite Portland restaurant. The oysters were exceptional, as was the rest of the meal. We strongly recommend dining here!
Great food! Service was great, server was friendly and helpful. Menu limited. Restaurant was very noisy!
