   The service really ruined the experience. It was slow, meals did not come out, some meals came out cold, wine wasn't brought to the table, we were not offered second drinks. We waited an extremely long time for bills. Beautiful restaurant with a nice menu but nothing could make up for the complete lack of service and attention.

   Hello! Everything was bad from start to finish (service, food). Nobody at the entrance to seat you. 30 minutes to receive the bill. Food looked and tasted to be out of the fridge and not fresh.

   Went for a lunch on Sunday and had a wonderful time. The restaurant was busy when we showed up around 1:00pm and it was obviously understaffed. However, we were not in a rush and wanted to visit: We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff we encountered were very professional, polite and pleasant. Our waitress was very nice and she and another staff member made sure that we were taken care of with drinks and topped up water. We appreciated their attentiveness. The food took awhile but it arrived fresh and hot and delicious. We would go again for sure. The avocado toast with egg was delicious!

    What a great place to enjoy the Old Port area! The restaurant is beautiful, and the food was very good. The service was very attentive, and we had a nice evening. Since this was a business dinner, we were able to just relax and enjoy ourselves, and not feel rushed.

    Beautiful place. Was there for lunch. Food is good service too. Tables are close to each other so imagine when its full is too noisy. Overall excellent experience !

    J'ai aimé presque tout. La nourriture ai été vraiment délicieux. Je recommend le poulet au marsala et le pâte a l'encre de seiche, très bons assiettes. Le service est impeccable, et les servers font une très bonne recommandation de l'accord mets. Je ferais un seul remarque, quand j'ai fait le réservation, vous m'avez demandé si j'ai une occasion spéciale, mais je ne vis pas aucun détail spécial pour notre anniversaire, il n'y a pas problème, mais vous ne devriez pas demandé cette question, si vous ne allez pas faire rien de spécial.

    Une grande déception. On est allé samedi le 7 janvier avec des amis pour l’anniversaire de ma sœur. Les calmars grillés et la pieuvre étaient brûlés. Les légumes et la purée avaient un goût de pourriture. C’était immangeable. Je suis extrêmement déçue, car la dernière fois que je suis venue j’ai pris les mêmes plats et c’était excellent. Le service était lent, quelques oublis, un peu désorganisé. le serveur s’est trompé avec toutes les factures, puisqu’il n’avait pas pris de note. Du coup, il fallait recommencer pour les 10 personnes, ça pris un peu de temps. On a donné entre 10 et 20% de pourboire chacun. Lorsque le serveur m’a demandé ce qu’on n’avait pas apprécié, je lui ai gentiment donné mon feed-back général et il m’a répondu froidement « eh bien alors ne revenez plus! » je trouve ça inacceptable. Le pourboire n’est pas un acquis, il se mérite. C’est à la discrétion du client. Si le client n’a pas apprécié le service, il n’est pas dans l’obligation de laisser un pourboire. J’ai donné un pourboire à la hauteur de mon appréciation, donc il n’était pas élevé, puisque j’étais insatisfaite. Le commentaire du client était désobligeant et mesquin. Nous en avons parlé à la gérante. Nous ne reviendrons plus.

    Second time dining at Jacopo and it was great. Service was a little slower this time around, water took too long for refills, waiter made a tiny mistake in the order and the staff got it resolved quickly. Food was 10/10 and I would definitely come back again.

    This restaurant is beautiful! It is the most beautiful setting in all the Montreal restaurants that our family visited this time. Our children enjoyed the Table d'Haute menu. My carbonara was okay. The biscotti dessert was also okay. Overall, the experience was pleasant and we would return.

    Went New Year's Day for a birthday dinner with my significant other. Should've known from the beginning this wouldn't be the best; we were seated directly under a vent. Now, I'm not talking about a little bit of cold or hot air. This is swirling your hair around type blowing from a vent. Thankfully, there wasn't much of a problem to move after we requested it. Now onto the not-so-good. I've never witnessed so many people walk out of a restaurant. It was almost two hours before we received any food - including bread. Our waitress was apologetic and comped us dessert, but that only goes so far. Apparently they weren't short-staffed in either servers or in the kitchen, but simply "everyone came in all at once." It's a restaurant. That happens. Shoulda planned ahead. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Though at that point we were ravenous and almost anything would've been passable. Beforehand, I had made a simple request for something to be brought out for my significant other's birthday. I was hoping for a candle in a dessert as that's all I inquired, but should've known that if they couldn't even get the bread out, something extra wouldn't exactly be happening smoothly. In this case, nothing happened at all. Suffice to say, this was pretty bad overall of an experience. Would not recommend. Will not go back. Wasted even more time in my life to leave this review, but it was that poor of service et al.

    We we’re seated in the corner of the room. It was insanely loud… Our table was broken so every we reached for our food, all of our drinks were shaking and almost came out of the glass. Our server took a while to come see us, because he said he didn’t realize we were there. All of our food was served cold and after ordering nobody came back to see if we were ok, or would like something else to drink. Unfortunately we don’t recommend this place.

    We dined here with a party of four for New Years Eve. We had carefully reviewed the prix fixe menu beforehand because we had a couple people in the party who don’t eat certain things. The prix fixe had four courses. The first was a charcuterie board for the table. It was fine, nothing special and heavy on the meat. The second course I had the salad which was basically a Caesar salad. Again, nothing special. Two others had the pea soup which they liked very well and the fourth had the arancini which were tasty enough but not hot. Where the evening started to fall apart was with the entrees. Two of us ordered the “contra filet”. My mistake for ordering that because I thought it meant a filet. It did not; It was sliced sirloin. The meat was full of fat and gristle. I could not eat it as it was making me gag. A third person had the gnocchi which was okay but just a slightly weird taste. My husband had the branzino which I thought was actually decent. I sent back my steak and they brought me gnocchi, which I didn’t personally like so I traded with my husband. The vegetables with the meal were pretty good and we were able to eat all of those. After a bit the server tried to bring me some fish as well. At that point I was thinking to myself,”I don’t like the food here, so I don’t need more of it.” There were only two choices for dessert, tiramisu and cheesecake. They did not have any ice cream or anything to substitute. Only two of us ordered dessert and we did not care for the tiramisu so that got left as well. At the end they brought us limoncello which tasted like furniture polish. I thought the wine list seemed okay and we did order a bottle of Cabernet. All in all, a very disappointing evening and at well over $500 USD for four people including drinks and tip. I would not recommend. The lunch we had at the pub a few blocks away was much better at 1/4 of the price. And btw they didn’t offer a discount for the meal sent back, and charged for coffee too.

    Great service, the server was very nice and smiling. We also enjoyed our food. The noise level was unbearable with the music, though. Also, could you make the font a bit bigger for the menu? Impossible to read without an iPhone and with the dimmed light.
