   I ordered Pittsburgh style and he said that the chefs knew what it was. It came out raw and not like I ordered at all. Wish he would’ve just said that they don’t know and came back and ask for a different option. Everything else was oversalted. Was really surprised by how tough the meat was as well.

   Everything we had was a hit!! Even my picky teenage son was super happy… we’ll definitely be back. Crab cake Benedict and the chicken and waffles were AMAZING!!

   This was my first time here and I was celebrating with a birthday brunch. The food was AMAZING. And the drinks were strong😊 We ALL got something different so we could taste a lil bit of EVERYTHING. I will definitely be back. And I appreciate the courtesy valet😏

   Went for m birthday dinner and absolutely enjoyed everything from the service (host stand to our waitress) to the freshness and flavor of our meals. Will definitely be back!

   Rustic place with a cool vibe, but the dishes are mediocre - not as delicious as the menu makes them sound. For the price, there are plenty of better choices in Austin with more comfortable seating and better food.

    We went here for a birthday dinner. Having dined here several times before I have always had an exceptional experience. This time however the food was all sub-par. The pimento cheese app portion was small and the bread seemed like it had been pulled from a bag, not even toasted. Boudin ball app was so overly liver flavored it reminded everyone of meow mix. We got the mkt special “steak” and ordered medium rare. Steak was so rare is was bleeding and there was still the tendon in (had not been taken out). For the high price it was the biggest let down. It was very disappointing to have such a terrible meal here when they have always delivered such high quality food.

    We had an amazing brunch here on the patio. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Coffee and food was all delicious! The only unfortunate part is the parking. The lot is all valet and if you don’t want to pay you park on the side of a very busy road.

    I’m a repeat customer and booked this lovely spot for an engagement dinner. I requested a specific section on the bluff. I called three times to confirm, including the day of the reservation. I also requested to purchase a whole cake and was told I would receive a call back but the call never came. When my party arrived, the table I requested was full and we were seated elsewhere. We were moved to the requested area after appetizers, which was awkward. When you anticipate spending more than $600 for a special occasion meal, explain why you are making the request, get confirmation multiple times, and the manager even shows you the detailed notes in the reservation, it can be very disappointing. Even though the food and waitstaff were great, this really dampened the experience. I’ll look elsewhere for special occasions going forward.

    It took almost an hour to get out foods but besides that all was fine. We did have a dish was dried up chicken but when we shared our experience they comped it.

    Our waiter Justin was fabulous. Food was good but steak had a lot of fat/sinew which made it difficult to eat. Wine suggestion of the Malbec was good but there could be a little more variety in offerings. Cocktails were good but many had a bit much of a sweet side to them.

    Met some friends for brunch. Food was just ok. Vegan meal was extremely salty and didn’t have much to it (one small pepper, couscous, and zucchini were the only things on the plate). The restaurant touts its river setting but you can’t actually see the river from most of the seating areas in the restaurant. Parking is an issue. There is a valet lot (the attendant asked me to move my car as she said that I came in from the wrong direction (there wasn’t any signage to indicate I had entered the lot incorrectly). Anyway, disappointing experience.

    UT Parents football weekend. We loved our server, Miles.. He gave us a good history of the Jacoby ranch and about the type of cattle. Which my husband is a rancher and appreciates!

    Amazing service! Chris was spectacular! The food was just as good. You need to sit outside to get the full experience and they have a covered patio and overflow seating they’d covered with fans.

    Salmon was excellent. Chicken fried steak was ok. Sides are not good. Brussel sprouts were over sauced. Mac and cheese had no flavor since it seemed the noodles were cooked without salt. Deviled eggs and pimento cheese appetizers were great. Hostess couldn't be bothered with doing her job. Was put out to show us to our table.

    First time visit to Jacoby's Mercantile. Loved it! Loved the atmosphere and the food! Great menu! I had their seasonal martini which was delicious as well. My husband had their regular hamburger and I had their special - Bourbon Jam Burger - with pimento cheese, bacon and coffee & bourbon jam. Both were fantastic. We also had the yeast rolls with bbq & bbq butter. Fabulous!!!
