Jacob�s Pickles in New York was an inevitability for owner Jacob who grew up in love with food. Established in 2011, Jacob�s Pickles is a hit on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Providing guests with Southern style comfort food summed up as �beer, biscuits, pickles.� Made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, the food is unbeatable. In true form of the South, a selection of biscuit sandwiches includes sausage and gravy, honey chicken and pickles and BBQ varieties. Other menu items include matzo ball soup, catfish tacos, low country meatloaf and shrimp and bacon grits. The menu at Jacob�s Pickles provides a section of take-aways for jars of house made pickles.

The restaurant is a charm but the food is very heavy, wasnt at all appealing to me and there are no light options in the menu! A pitty! But it was full so some like it!

LOVED THIS PLACE! We went once for brunch and once for Late Night snacks and drinks in two days! Good, service and atmosphere were top notch!!

Came here a few months back in October with a few of my girls for my sisters birthday. The food was AMAZING!! The portions were huge and the resturant itself was pretty. The food was so good we were craving it recently . My sister and I decided to go again . I was very dissapointed . The food wasnt as great as we remembered, it was average. Something changed. The fried chicken was barely crispy. Maybe we came on an off day , but they werent busy. The last time we went we had to wait 2 hrs . We also went on a saturday that day. This time we went on a regular Thursday afternoon.

The food was great and the portions were huge--the 4-type pickle plate came in giant mason jars filled with pickled veggies and the biscuits are enormous--but everyone is seated together at long tables, crammed in side by side. It's very crowded, there's not much room to maneuver, and it's quite loud. The selection of music on Valentine's Day was great though, lots of 90s stuff. The loudness affects service, too, since the waiter brought me the wrong thing at first due to not being able to hear me properly. Then it took two tries to get the correct order out to the table. If they just didn't cram so many people into such a small space it would be a fantastic place to eat.

I booked a reservation for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend (all I could get was 4:45p and it was packed) At first they seated us at a communal table in the very back, uncomfortably sandwiched in the middle of a long table. We were initially not impressed or happy with the arrangements on what was supposed to be a romantic special night. But we asked the host if we could wait for the soonest private table and they were EXTREMELY accommodating! Even treated us to a round of drinks! Our night was completely turned around and we had an AMAZING experience! The service staff was extremely nice, and food even better!

Such an incredible birthday celebration for my friend turning 21. A comped drink and dessert was very thoughtful. Service was great, food was incredible, overall incredible.
