Food was great. We reserve waffle & chicken and egg Benedict. Atmosphere was great. Good service. Will be back again
Great place for brunch. Friendly owner and good service. Good bar serving good drinks.
I ordered the berry pancakes and they were incredible! We're excited to go back again for brunch!
Ambiance is great, service is on point and the food is even better.
Brunch was perfection. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and they made him feel very special.
Food was great, got the wings, Cajun shrimp and meat and cheese board to start. Then for entrees got the fried chicken and ribs. Everything was great, have to admit our waitress wasn't great just ok, but the manager Ceaser really stepped up and helped us out. To the point where I made it my business to say something to the owner.
Will be back for sure!
Fried chicken is outstanding. Food is always delicious, service is friendly. Good cocktails.
Waitress was excellent and food was delicious. Manager (owner?) visited tables to ensure that everything was perfect (which it was).
Great food, great people, great atmosphere, we love it!
Birthday get together
My friend and I had a reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant has a quirky/charming ambiance that enhanced the dining experience. The brunch menu has a very large selection. I went with the buttermilk fried chicken and pumpkin waffles, while my friend went with the avocado and brought a toast. The food came out pretty quickly, and was absolutely delicious. The portions were more than generous. The coffee was excellent and came in these cute little individual, light bulb-shaped carafes. Service was good, if a tad slow at times, but very courteous. The prices were more than reasonable – my friend and I dined for less than $40. I look forward to my next trip to this restaurant because it is definitely worth another visit.
Was great! Food delicious and great service. I plan to go back soon.
One of our favorite family brunch spots!!! Love the ambience, menu and service.
Great atmosphere and vibe-- friendly service, good music, comfortable place to be. Food was a little inconsistent-- really good chicken pot pie, but the chicken tacos were kind of bland. Would try again for brunch perhaps.
We went for brunch. Nice interior and good service. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had the brunch burger. The grits were a little more watery than I prefer but tasted great. My husband's burger was closer to medium than the medium-rare he asked for but he still enjoyed it. The apple cider mimosa was also tasty.
Great spot for groups, food amazing and great value. Service just as great. Highly recommend. Would recommend making reservations as the wait for weekend brunch can be up to an hour.
The chicken and waffles was delicious definitely add the pumpkin butter with hints on spice was sooo good! A definitely must eat for Brunch. Service was On point.
Great charming place for a low key brunch. Friendly staff and very accommodating host!
Will highly recommend.
Went for brunch two dats in a row!!! Cocktails amazing, food healthy and delicious
Love this place. It's been a regular for years. Even though we moved to Brooklyn, we still come back to eat at Jackson's!
Had a wonderful brunch with 6 friends on my birthday. I had chicken and waffles and it was delicious! Everyone was very happy with their order, and the service was quick and attentive.
Awesome place. Great food.
I’ve tried most restaurants in LIC and Jackson’s eatery it’s far the best.
Jackson’s was really lovely, soft lighting, good live music
And a great overall ambience. We started with the oyster appetizer and I didn’t like the sauce, it was plain but did give the Giant oysters a chance to showcase how fresh they were. But no didn’t like the sauce, definitely prefer an option with cocktail horseradish sauce. For the entree I had the buttermilk fried chicken with the bacon ranch potato salad and collard greens. While the combination of the greens and potato salad eaten together were delicious the chicken left something to be desired. Needed a lot more flavor, ended up using a lot of hot sauce and salt to make the chicken interesting. On the contrast my husbands Salmon fish dinner was cooked to perfection, perfectly seared on the outside with great flavor. We also shared a dessert (the only chocolate one on the menu) was a flourless chocolate cake with S’more fixings. It was absolutely delicious but it was A LOT of stuff going on and very sweet. I would have preferred something simpler like a chocolate mousse with raspberries or something. They definitely should have one more chocolate option. Overall my husband and I really enjoyed our date night there and will be back.
New to the city and decided to try this local venue. Food was very good and service excellent. Will be returning to try the dinner menu. We had the pleasure of brunch menu for four people and all items were very good, including the brunch cocktails! Make a reservation not one empty table on Sunday at 12:00.
Went for my 1st anniversary with my Girlfriend. Chose the location since she had taken me here for my bday dinner and talked about the brunch and I never had it so it was a perfect time for it.
Attentive, DELICIOUS food, A gracious owner who congratulated us on the anniversary and who resembles Sam Elliot. The part that sticks out the most is the WONDERFUL music. It’s at a healthy volume where you can enjoy the music and still have a conversation with your party. Also the selection is music is mostly 60s-70s classic rock, Motown themed which is a sweet spot for me.
Definitely will come back again and recommend. Be sure to get a reservation for Brunch bc they do they packed around Brunch time.
Come here every weekend. Both days. Brunch is AMAZING
Delicious brunch food, great drinks, blading music with the ambiance you look for with brunch.
Eclectic and different menu; very enjoyable ! Great friendly service.
It always a pleasure to eat at Jackson’s
Food is always soooo amazing. They were very accommodating of our young child with stroller. Also offered a high chair. Will be back soon!
The BEST! The menu never disappoints, service is always amazing and everyone always has the greatest time.
Had brunch here for the second time, and for the second time it was delicious. It was much less busy this time around, so we didn’t have to wait for a seat, and it wasn’t very loud.
Awesome local southern type food, great ambiance and relaxed. The actual food was good quality and reasonable prices. Would definitely go back
Our food was absolutely delicious! Our server Elibeth was very accommodating and super cool to talk to. I have recommended this to multiple people and I know they will check it out when in town. I hope to come back in a few weeks and I will definitely come back to your establishment. Keep up the good work! And make sure you let Elibeth know she was awesome! we had dinner inside and then sat outside and had a glass of wine and people watched afterwards.😀
I've been here several times and I'm never disappointed by the dishes offered at brunch. Lively atmosphere makes conversation a bit difficult but worth the trip anyway. Highly suggest reservations for brunch.
Jackson's Eatery is now my favorite brunch spot in LIC. I was there with friends this past Sunday and we had a fantastic time. A lot of restaurants use "fresh" or "local" ingredients, but Jackson does it much, much better than usual. The menu was full of innovative "comfort-food" type dishes. The ones we tried were delicious (farmer's omelette and Cajun shrimp n' grits). Everything on the menu seemed reasonably priced and actually affordable, even the cocktails! We were blown away by the service which felt warm and sincere : our waitress was friendly, attentive and recommended her favorite dishes and the owner stopped by our table to chat and to thank us for coming.
I always love eating at Jackson’s with my husband but this time, we brought the kids with us. My eldest daughter actually said that the pulled pork yam hash changed her life! lol The wait staff is always friendly as well as the owner. The music & overall ambiance is the best!
I had a really great experience eating here. Our waitress was so attentive. The food was awesome! I recommend the Mac and cheese and the Cajun shrimp skewers. I also highly recommend the midnight mojito. My husband and I loved that drink! I was so stuffed and wish I could have ate dessert but I will come again. The vibes were just so good.
Good food good service
Great food and great staff!
