Lump Blue Crab Cakes
Two Pan-seared Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Cakes with Grilled Asparagus, Cottage Roasted Potatoes and Whole Grain Mustard Cream Sauce
We had reservations for right when they opened. The view was nice. I ordered the tenderloin steak sandwich and my friend ordered a burger. We also ordered salads. My Caesar salad had too many pieces of lettuce that were brown and not good that I could only eat about half of the salad. My sandwich was supposed to be cooked medium and when I put into it, the meat was rare. In fact, it looked raw. My friends burger was order medium well and it was very red throughout. I did try to pick out the smaller piece to try to eat some but the texture was unbearable. The server asked how it was and we told her both of ours were under cooked. She wanted to look at eat one to verify and then took both plates and said she would take care of it. This included taking our fries which were the only parts of our meal we enjoyed. While I would not have wanted it to be remade, I did think it was strange that she didn’t offer to remake it. She wasn’t rude or anything but neither of us felt that it was handled to the expectation of such a highly recommended and expensive restaurants should be. Very disappointed in the overall experience and how one could undercook food that much.
Great place for special events, ambience and view is wonderful. Normal great service was not up to par with this visit
Everything was okay. Food was good but not good enough for me to return any time soon. I wasn’t dissatisfied but I wasn’t impressed by anything.
I had heard great things about Jackson’s so I was excited to get a reservation during Mother’s Day weekend while I was visiting from Michigan. I was not disappointed! the food the service the ambiance the good vibes the view - it was all that and more!
Overall was great food, great views, the service was ok, not very friendly or accommodating.
Zach was incredible. Great attitude.. Great recommendations...
Graduation dinner and the waiter lost our order. Took well over 1.5 hours to get our meal. When we did it was not hot. So disappointed as this was a special occasion.
I made a reservation a month ahead. When we arrived the table wasn’t ready. We ended up waiting half an hour and ended up with a table with sun directly on our head at lunch hour.
Unfortunately this isn’t a good contact. I’ve never written a bad review on any establishment in all my years but today I’m going to. I dined at your establishment last night at around 8 we arrived and had a few drinks at the bar until 845 when our reservation was ready. Bar service hostess great fantastic no complaints but the service was absolutely terrible to say the least and the worst part of it is we were out for our anniversary. Ryan was our server and from the beginning we had one issue after another. My wife went and sat at the table ten minutes before the rest of us so I can close our tab at the bar order a roll as an appetizer for us. When the rest of us sat down we all ordered drinks and told Ryan when he came back we will have order ready. Fast forward we ordered dinner we did i the ribeye with a crab Oscar mr with cottage potatoes soup and salad our friends ordered pesto pasta and a sandwich. Around 20 minutes goes by everyone receives their drinks but my wife wasn’t a bug issue we let Ryan know and he disappeared on us for about ten minutes and at 10oclock here comes all of our entrees but my wife still doesn’t have our drink nor did we receive our appetizers soups or salads yet. Then another server appears with everything at once and we told Ryan we didn’t want it or the rare steak with cold crab meat on it either and asked to speak to a manager. I’m not sure what his name was but he was one of the rudest managers I have ever encountered. He argued with me about my steak temperature, we told him our concerns on the timing of our food and he could card less he even had the nerve to say that’s not why he was told to come over here. I’m completely dumbfounded that this even happen here of all places. My fiancé and I met at Jackson’s four years ago and absolutely love this place and we haven’t been back for awhile now I regret ever going. Someone needs to speak with the two of them and their table etiquette. I don’t blame Ryan at all for his service beca
Terrible service... food not timed. Everything brought out at once. Special was supposed to have coconut rice came with potatoes. Overall horrible experience
The waiter seemed always rushed every time he came to the table, starting since the time we got there till the time we left.
First off the pictures on their site is a lie. The food was terrible and looked terrible as well. I drove 45 mins to go here and I’m so disappointed. It’s smelled like fish when I walked in which a first sign I should have noticed. I asked for outdoor seating for the view and ended up being sat in the back corner where I couldn’t see anything, and I had reservations. My husband and I ordered drinks, oysters and wedge salad. It took 15 mins to get the drinks. We finished our drinks and sat there for another ten mins to even be acknowledged. The waiter came back asked if we wanted more drinks but still didn’t get our appetizers. Then our drinks and apps came out in the mean time when we ordered our second drinks we ordered our main entrees. Which again took forever and was terrible and I mean terrible. I ordered the snapper and scallops which is pictured as one of their main features. It looked nothing like the picture I would have been better off going to Applebee’s it was awful never again will I attend this restaurant and I certainly won’t recommend it as a matter of fact I will be telling everyone I know not to go here
Ryan Burgess was our server and made us feel special. Accommodating and explained all menu items we had in question. Attentive to our needs and was a great birthday celebration
We will definitely be back !😊
Arrived a little early for my reservation, seated right away, the service and food was great.
Our second visit to this restaurant and we will keep coming back
Food wasn’t warm unfortunately, but that’s to be partially expected with buffets. The staff was really nice
Very disappointing.... steaks all over done and service not good.We were celebrating my moms 70th birthday and I was very clear in my reservation and not one mention ?? We’ve lived here for 13 years and have been here many times and tonight will probably be our last visit.
Super busy Saturday night but still great service and food. Can’t beat the outdoor dining here right on the bay near convention center. Swordfish is incredible with key lime sauce.
I live in San Antonio, Texas. Tampa, Florida is like a second home to me. Whenever I am town I never miss having a meal at Jackson's, our favorite restaurant in Tampa.
Our Server (sorry, I can not recall her name right now), was superb. Friendly, attentive and did everything right. If you would like to inquire as to who the waitress was, I can tell you that our reservation was for 8:15 PM, we had a party of three, and the reservation was under the name of JERALD BARISANO.
Thanks again for another great dining exprience!
We always sit by the water. Just a great relaxing time with great food. Frankie was our waiter and he was incredibly friendly and attentive.
This is a must go to place in Downtown Tampa
A very nice casual dining experience.
Well the reservation was made and upon checking in I was told it’s going to be about a 10 minute wait and from there I’m confused on why I made a reservation in how come I wouldn’t be outside at all if I didn’t have a reservation yet I’m waiting and if you happen to be a fan of snapper I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant because the portion size is it may be 2 oz with 2 rather nice meaty scallops , the steak we ordered came out over cooked , that I think they brought out someone else’s food. Because I don’t believe a chef over cooked a Medium steak to Well done . The drinks weren’t bad at all . Food wasn’t as expected, services was great but they have one of the best views in Tampa so what am I to do
Delayed service. 3 hrs total for the whole dinner
We ate outside and loved it.
Four seniors sat outside on a lovely Sunday evening and had a great dinner with excellent service. My husband and I both had the macadamia nut crusted swordfish, which was very, very good.
It was a great experience, food and service. The view was incredible to eat by the water.
The buffet brunch was empty and not well maintained when we got there at 2:15 and nothing was refilled while we were there. We had to ask for strawberries
The Sunday buffet was great. The COVID precautions were reasonable. The service was very good.
Great experience. The food and outdoor atmosphere was lovely. We never ran out of coffee or water and everyone was very friendly. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks
Outdoor seating recommended! Great views and service. The photo is the crab cakes and a lobster sushi roll. Both were very good. Appetizers were raw oysters and seared tuna...both were great.
Food came out cold. appetizer only a few minutes before lunch. Server walked by us many times without asking us if we needed anything.
Not anywhere near the standard of my last visit.
Outstanding service. Fun atmosphere
Food good, steak a little tough. Salad is always excellent. Very good waiter. Jackson’s is a favorite with us.
It was a lovely evening. Amazing view, fantastic food. Love it!!
Our server Dominic was outstanding. The food was delicious and worth the price. The ambiance was very nice as well. 10/10 recommend
Our server, Lisa, was attentive and professional.
heather is a delightful, professional waiter
