Great location, especially at sunset! Food was pretty good and staff was friendly.
Everything was great. Just my server was awful. He took 15 minutes to get my table some plastic silverware. He never came back to check on us for anything
One of my favorite places to eat. The absolute best brunch spot in tampa
We have eaten here before and enjoyed it but this time it was the worst. Went for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Got to the restaurant at 5:30 - food did not get to our table until 7:10. No refill of drinks. Bread did not come until after 6:15. Was not enjoyable at all. Would not visit again and would certainly not celebrate a huge occasion there again. Super disappointed.
Our first visit on a warm but pleasant early evening. Outside table was great in the middle tier, which means not against the windows and not with umbrellas. A lot of foot traffic and a great place to see and be seen. Food was very good, not fine dining by any means, prices relatively good, but a very enjoyable experience if you stay put a while.
Steak was mediocre but still tasty, sushi was good and the alcoholic bevs were definitely potent. All said and done, we'll be back
We were in Tampa visiting from New Jersey and decided to give Jackson’s a try. We were very pleased with the service and the food. It also has a nice waterfront atmosphere with a lovely area to stroll before and after dinner.
OMG, loved Seqouia, fab waiter!!!! Grouper w/crab~ outstanding!
My wife and I regularly visit Tampa and we usually have one of our dinners at Jackson's. We keep going back because of the good food and service. However, on this latest occasion, we had a few problems. They sat us at a table for two at the window and then almost immediately sat a large party (maybe 10+) who were having a birthday party, they were loud and obnoxious and their server encouraged them to be even louder. We asked to be reseated and the hostess agreed. Secondly, my wife ordered a gin martini and was very clear she did not want olive juice in it, but she was still served a dirty martini. For dinner we had the sushi plate and sashimi plates, which were very good, and we followed up with our usual order of spider roll. The spider roll is named that because of the soft shell crab legs that stick out of it making it look like a large spider. The roll we were served had no crab legs, we notified the waitress and she said that we were wrong and that this was the usual spider roll served here. We continued talking saying we had eaten here many times and this was not the normal roll, but she said we were wrong, she did not take it back or ask if we wanted something different. I hope these problems were just an aberration in what is usually a really good restaurant. We will give them one more chance.
Loved the happy hour options and sitting at the bar! Great live music!
My fiancé and I went out to celebrate the fact that I’m starting a new serving job tomorrow and we wanted to try a new restaurant. We were very disappointed in the quality of service, drinks and food. we ordered the chilled $54 seafood platter and the crab salad is essentially just crab with mayonnaise, they don’t give you anything to eat with the crab salad except for horseradish and cocktail sauce. I tried to eat it with the crackers they gave us for the oysters but it really wasn’t working. we ended up not eating it. the rest of the platter was fine (its pretty hard to mess up raw oysters and shrimp cocktail). as far as our entrees go, the crab cakes have little to no flavor, but the grouper sandwich was good. our drinks were mixed horribly, and after our waiter dropped the check, we realized he put the order for a large party on our bill too, bringing the check to $340. we obviously did not order that much being a two top, so we were waiting to tell him the check was wrong but he disappeared for 20 minutes right after he dropped the check. we had to wave down a manager to have him grab the server because we were tired of waiting for him to show up. when he does finally arrive, he apologizes and admits that he forgot about us. no manager ever came back to the table to check in on us. after the check was fixed, we just paid and left. we were going to get frozen yogurt after dinner so we didnt get dessert, but because the waiter was not present at the end, not only did we not get frozen yogurt, but we didnt get dessert here either. it will honestly probably be a while before we dine here again.
I visit Tampa regularly and Jackson’s is always on the agenda for a dinner. Consistently good food and I enjoy sitting outside. Sushi is very good to excellent and the remainder of the menu is solidly good to very good.
Went to Jackson's Bistro for a business lunch. Food was great as always and Sequoyah provided great service, thank you!
Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant with great food service and ambiance!
The food we had was good, and our server was really good. My problem is we went so a couple of the people could get Sushi and we were told, no Sushi today due to staffing shortages.
We had reservations for right when they opened. The view was nice. I ordered the tenderloin steak sandwich and my friend ordered a burger. We also ordered salads. My Caesar salad had too many pieces of lettuce that were brown and not good that I could only eat about half of the salad. My sandwich was supposed to be cooked medium and when I put into it, the meat was rare. In fact, it looked raw. My friends burger was order medium well and it was very red throughout. I did try to pick out the smaller piece to try to eat some but the texture was unbearable. The server asked how it was and we told her both of ours were under cooked. She wanted to look at eat one to verify and then took both plates and said she would take care of it. This included taking our fries which were the only parts of our meal we enjoyed. While I would not have wanted it to be remade, I did think it was strange that she didn’t offer to remake it. She wasn’t rude or anything but neither of us felt that it was handled to the expectation of such a highly recommended and expensive restaurants should be. Very disappointed in the overall experience and how one could undercook food that much.
Great place for special events, ambience and view is wonderful. Normal great service was not up to par with this visit
Device was great
The only negative at the next table were out of control and the parents didn’t about it
Everything was okay. Food was good but not good enough for me to return any time soon. I wasn’t dissatisfied but I wasn’t impressed by anything.
I had heard great things about Jackson’s so I was excited to get a reservation during Mother’s Day weekend while I was visiting from Michigan. I was not disappointed! the food the service the ambiance the good vibes the view - it was all that and more!
Overall was great food, great views, the service was ok, not very friendly or accommodating.
Zach was incredible. Great attitude.. Great recommendations...
Graduation dinner and the waiter lost our order. Took well over 1.5 hours to get our meal. When we did it was not hot. So disappointed as this was a special occasion.
I made a reservation a month ahead. When we arrived the table wasn’t ready. We ended up waiting half an hour and ended up with a table with sun directly on our head at lunch hour.
Unfortunately this isn’t a good contact. I’ve never written a bad review on any establishment in all my years but today I’m going to. I dined at your establishment last night at around 8 we arrived and had a few drinks at the bar until 845 when our reservation was ready. Bar service hostess great fantastic no complaints but the service was absolutely terrible to say the least and the worst part of it is we were out for our anniversary. Ryan was our server and from the beginning we had one issue after another. My wife went and sat at the table ten minutes before the rest of us so I can close our tab at the bar order a roll as an appetizer for us. When the rest of us sat down we all ordered drinks and told Ryan when he came back we will have order ready. Fast forward we ordered dinner we did i the ribeye with a crab Oscar mr with cottage potatoes soup and salad our friends ordered pesto pasta and a sandwich. Around 20 minutes goes by everyone receives their drinks but my wife wasn’t a bug issue we let Ryan know and he disappeared on us for about ten minutes and at 10oclock here comes all of our entrees but my wife still doesn’t have our drink nor did we receive our appetizers soups or salads yet. Then another server appears with everything at once and we told Ryan we didn’t want it or the rare steak with cold crab meat on it either and asked to speak to a manager. I’m not sure what his name was but he was one of the rudest managers I have ever encountered. He argued with me about my steak temperature, we told him our concerns on the timing of our food and he could card less he even had the nerve to say that’s not why he was told to come over here. I’m completely dumbfounded that this even happen here of all places. My fiancé and I met at Jackson’s four years ago and absolutely love this place and we haven’t been back for awhile now I regret ever going. Someone needs to speak with the two of them and their table etiquette. I don’t blame Ryan at all for his service beca
Terrible service... food not timed. Everything brought out at once. Special was supposed to have coconut rice came with potatoes. Overall horrible experience
Made a reservation for two. table wasn’t ready when I showed up. We waited 30 min then checked on hostess when we noticed several empty tables... she had forgotten about us. We were seated and had to wait about 10 min before someone finally greeted us.
We asked to order the sushi but the waitress informed us that it would be an hour and a half wait bc there was only one sushi chef working that night for the entire restaurant. I am very disappointed with the service especially considering it was a week day and wasn’t that busy. We wanted to have a nice date night with sushi But we miss the sunset bc the host forgot us and weren’t even able to order food bc of the long wait.
The waiter seemed always rushed every time he came to the table, starting since the time we got there till the time we left.
First off the pictures on their site is a lie. The food was terrible and looked terrible as well. I drove 45 mins to go here and I’m so disappointed. It’s smelled like fish when I walked in which a first sign I should have noticed. I asked for outdoor seating for the view and ended up being sat in the back corner where I couldn’t see anything, and I had reservations. My husband and I ordered drinks, oysters and wedge salad. It took 15 mins to get the drinks. We finished our drinks and sat there for another ten mins to even be acknowledged. The waiter came back asked if we wanted more drinks but still didn’t get our appetizers. Then our drinks and apps came out in the mean time when we ordered our second drinks we ordered our main entrees. Which again took forever and was terrible and I mean terrible. I ordered the snapper and scallops which is pictured as one of their main features. It looked nothing like the picture I would have been better off going to Applebee’s it was awful never again will I attend this restaurant and I certainly won’t recommend it as a matter of fact I will be telling everyone I know not to go here
Ryan Burgess was our server and made us feel special. Accommodating and explained all menu items we had in question. Attentive to our needs and was a great birthday celebration
We will definitely be back !😊
Arrived a little early for my reservation, seated right away, the service and food was great.
Our second visit to this restaurant and we will keep coming back
Was able to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday at your lovely establishment. Our sever was attentive and knowledgeable and made our experience even better than we had anticipated.
Celebrating a birthday, Poot service and mediocre food.
Food wasn’t warm unfortunately, but that’s to be partially expected with buffets. The staff was really nice
We had a wonderful dinner celebrating my son's girlfriend's birthday! The food was delicious from the sushi to the coconut shrimp! The crab cakes were huge and tasty! The swordfish was also amazing! Our server was readily available which was nice being the restaurant was very busy for a Saturday night!
Very disappointing.... steaks all over done and service not good.We were celebrating my moms 70th birthday and I was very clear in my reservation and not one mention ?? We’ve lived here for 13 years and have been here many times and tonight will probably be our last visit.
