The view was perfect, service outstanding. Food is average, you will enjoy the view more than the food.
Walking in being greeted was very friendly. The waiter was not attentive to our table we had to constantly look around for him because he would come to the table and disappears for 15 mins or more so it took a long time to get our order taken as well as asking for refill of water/tea. We had to ask for things I thought should be initial set up like bread.
First time sitting outside and the view is worth dealing with a little of the Florida humidity. Got the grouper sandwich, yummy! Also had sushi, tomato and mozzarella. Delicious! Daniel was our server and was excellent! One of my favorite spots in Tampa
I would rank seafood quite below "major" chain seafood restaurant that rhymes with "eb obster". Mojito was great! Margarita way below average. Tuna appetizer way above average. Sushi worse than grocery store! Servoce Meh. We found a few gems- go there for drinks, appetizer and great water.view. Be realistic and you will be happy.
Server seemed a bit awkward, but nice guy. E.g. waited longer than one would expect for one of our party to take final bites to take a plate.
The meal was very salty, and couldn't taste the flavors. Very disappointed and I bring a guest at least once a week.
It was a good experience. The grilled salmon was a bit dry. But the ambience was good.
The food took forever, it was an off night and the waiter did mention the kitchen was backed up but we were there from 7:30-10:30 and didn’t even get dessert.they did not comp anything either.. food was trickling out of the kitchen. The chicken Francois was more like chicken Marsala. The crab cakes weren’t that great and the pork chop was undercooked.
We had been there before and enjoyed it so it was disappointing .
The location is great. Who doesn't love waterfront dining, but the food quality and flavor was a total let down. Very disappointed. I would not recommend at all.
Great Food and Atmosphere for Brunch, Will be back
All I can say is delicious! My omlette was soooooooo good!
The whole night was nice. I was a little off put with having to pay for valet. Did not realize the option to self park was easier and also free.
The restaurant was very nice inside. Lots of kids which I was not expecting as late as my reservation. I started with the small charcuterie board with no explanation of the meats and cheese I was eating. I had sushi which was amazing. Probably the best sushi I have in a long time. Overall I was pleased with everything.
The food was amazing. Seated next to very disruptive table with kids running through the restaurant. Disappointed this was not addressed by Mgmt.
Really loved our waiter Ryan he was fast will come back for brunch
Jacksons Bistro used to be one of the Tampa Bay area’s best fine dining experiences on the water.
unfortunately those days are gone I don’t know if there’s a new management or new ownership but the last three times I’ve been there the quality of food is gone downhill and the service of waiters is pathetic and ambience is lacking everything fine dining stands for.
My last visit I watched as a lady was allowed to bring a dog into the restaurant and this dog continue to bark quite often even though there is outside dining where dogs can be and not bother anybody.
As I was leaving they allowed a man to drive his segway into the main dining room and then proceeded to park it across from his table next to two other people with a water view.
If I had made reservations at a nice restaurant with a water view and somebody parked their motorized vehicle next to me like I was at some sort of hospital I would be upset.
Many people do not even dress up to go there anymore might as well well be a McDonald’s and let’s not start talking about the outside. They let the valet go and you are forced to park downstairs for a price of $30.
And the outside bars is a train wreck of youth and spring breakers with no manners with the noise level almost unable to hear yourself.
While waiting for my table I sat at the outside bar and after 20 minutes of waiting for bartender attention, I asked for a Malibu Baybreeze double tall, either he didn’t speak English well or he was an idiot because he brought me a single. I said a double tall is a tall glass. He said oh ! as he proceeded to pour my drink into a tall glass and add a few more pieces of ice the reason people order a double tall is because you’re so busy and they know they’re not gonna get your attention again so they order double tall which is supposed to be two drinks.
Pathetic and I won’t honor such sad service with my hard earned dollars.
The food was very tasty. We sat outside in the evening and it was pleasant. The place tends to be crowed so I would recommend a reservation. The service seemed a bit slow, so allow enough time. On Friday night the parking costs $30.00 if you stay more than 2 hours.
Nice outdoor seating and excellent service. Would recommend this restaurant
Service was slow even if it was not that busy. My wife’s order was not correct and it took a while to get it right. Had to wait on drinks refill
More of a family get together. Every trip we always pick a night to go out for a nice dinner. This was a winner! The drinks were great and the food was delicious! I would describe it as a classy casual atmosphere. Our server was very catering although busy. My only little complaint was there was no kids menu.
Food was amazing
Convention Hotel restaurant. Excellent location, but totally unable to service the large number of available seats. Waiter had too many tables to keep up with. Took forever. Appetizer cold when delivered. No offer of 2nd drink or bread until complaint. No attempt by manager to apologize. Poor value.
Fantastic bar and restaurant! The views were wonderful. Plenty of social distancing. Great staff. Very friendly.
The food was delicious! Smaller portion sizes but just the right amount to get the job done. Get the swordfish!
Server was excellent and we loved it
Very Nice, excellent staff. Nice ambience especially at night. Nice outside seating. Food was Incredible
Our food was good but both beef entrées were supposed to be medium and they came with a medium well sticks. The service was OK but very slow we were there way over two hours and just ordered an appetizer and main dish. Also it took forever to get our check and then the server ran our card for the wrong table so we were charged double of what our check really was...He must've noticed it and tried to cancel it but it is already gone through so then he ran our card for our table also. So both charges were pending on our account when we get home and we had to call the restaurant to find out what it actually happened. We love the venue but it was not our best visit.
Love the outdoor seating.
Great venue great service and great food!
Nicole, our server, was super helpful, kind and friendly.
The restaurant was great. What we didn’t like that we booked the table beforehand and on the reception they gave us the worst table. Once we got to the table one of the chair was dirty, I told the hostesses about it and they said “it’s okay”.
Our table was in the shade and when we asked to sit in the sun, the hostess said no though there was a table behind us in the sun. A family walked up and asked for a table in the sun & didn’t have a reservation. I was a bit disappointed.
About $60 per person and nothing special. Sushi was average with average presentation. Seafood dishes were disappointing quality
Sat on the patio for dinner and it was a beautiful evening. The restaurant was very busy but there was no sacrifice in our service. We had mostly seafood and sushi and thought it was fantastic. Also there was a band in the nearby bar area and the music was a nice mix and not so loud that you couldn’t carry a conversation.
Sushi wasn't fresh. Waiter was pleasant. Wasn't impressed with food quality.
The ambiance was nice, however our table top rocked like a boat any time someone moved their arm from the table. Our service was kindly for our party of 4 but a 2 top was seated adjacent to us, and they were paying for their food before ours was even served. It didn’t seem like we were being well cared for although we were spending $200 for a party of 4. Food was decent but somewhat average.
We went there before going to another event. We had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive. After waiting that long, food was bland, nothing special. Due to the delay in getting our food , We were late for our event. Will not come back here. There are better places in Tampa to have dinner!
