What a wonderful exceptional dinner jacks was fabulous n our waitress was perfect the food here is prepared with precision my filet with Demi glaze spot on the beet salad unbelievable n the pecan crusted mahi was 5 stars.
The menu was truly diverse - specials included octopus (delicious!), pork belly, raw oysters, and different fresh catches. Our favorite dish was the Brussels Sprouts. Amazing. The drink menu has plenty on offer, and they were executed well. The dining room was lowly lit, and perfect for an intimate dinner or gathering with friends. Service was stellar. We skipped dessert, but the choices looked appetizing.
The menu changes, which is a good thing in our book. We will most definitely be going back.
I enjoyed the 8 oz filet with garlic potatoes and french green beans and my wife got the salmon with creamed spinach and roasted carrots. All was cooked perfectly!!! Service was good, pleasant and very friendly. This is the BEST of Wilson and everyone should embrace this restaurant.
Too loud. I think a fine dining restaurant should not seat more than 6 to a table .
Food was outstanding! Wait staff did a good job. We did have to wait a little longer than usual for food BUT I think it all has to do with staff shortage. We will return!
Always good but excellent experience under new ownership. Wonderful flavors, options for smaller plates, and definitely a pastry chef on the dessert team. Glad to see families are welcome as well as couples out for a special evening.
Food was excellent and service was great as well. We will definitely be back.
The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable! It's a perfect date night place when you want a special meal out. We loved it!
Awesome food and staff. Very reasonable price.
Absolutely everything was wonderful! Awesome food, cocktails, and super friendly staff.
Food was not good. Pork chops very tough. Will not be back.
The food and service were outstanding and the new decor is lovely.
We went on Prime Rib night and the food was wonderful. Our server Matt was even better!!
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our first dining experience at Jack's restaurant. The atmosphere was calm and intimate, perfect for dining as a couple or conversing with friends. The servers were friendly and professional. Most importantly, they were knowledgeable when it came to the menu. The dishes were appetizing when they came out and the flavors did not disappoint! We had the crispy brussel sprouts, fried pecans, cider roasted beets, hush puppies with pimento cheese dipping sauce, Wedge salad, fresh greens salad, French onion soup, coq au van blanc, braised pork belly, and grilled salmon bouillabaisse.
This was my first visit since Jack’s reopening. It was outstanding! The menu had many choices with small or large plates. The wedge salad was fresh and crisp with plenty of blue cheese crumbles and fresh dressing. I had the small ribeye plate which was as plentiful as most restaurants’ full entrees. Our waiter was Matthew who was very knowledgeable about menu and wine choices. I look forward to dining at Jack’s again!
Service was wonderful! Steak and the chicken were good. We also had the chili shrimp and pan seared scallops were ok. The pecans were not good at all. However the hushpuppies and pimento cheese were outstanding. We love the changes you made to the interior, but need to put the food back where it was. We would order the chicken and steak again as well as hush puppies but nothing else.
Food was tasty and a nicely presented. Service was excellent. Will eat there again.
Clean and uncluttered. Good food and service. Nice bar area.
Second time going to Jack’s for dinner and another great experience. We had the charcuterie board and it was outstanding - several interesting options on it that you don’t find anywhere else. The porkchops were great and dessert was delicious as well. We had olive oil cake and sticky toffee pudding and both were great. Really nice staff- great drinks as well.
Sunday Brunch was very good. Eggs Benedict really good.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday Brunch at Jack’s and will definitely return!
This was my second time dining at Jacks since the change. Both experiences were outstanding. Thank you for keeping up and possibly exceeding the standards of the former Jac’s. It’s my favorite dining restaurant in Wilson. Can’t wait for it to be open for lunch. I recommend the Southern Fried Quail. It was to die for. I look forward to trying some of the other “different for Wilson” dishes. I have NO complaints. We will return.
We were well pleased with the attention we received. We arrived early and they let us have our table. Our drinks, appetizers, salads and main courses arrived perfectly timed as well as well as perfectly prepared. The menu has many choices and we look forward to returning and trying some other items that caught our eye. All of us, including my restaurateur brother were impressed! Looking forward to lunch.
Wonderful service and meal. Very impressed with the staff and will be going back again.
Dissapointed in Brunch menu, very limited, my wife got shrimp and grits and I got a hamburger, her entree was $1 cheaper than mine, go figure? This is my second visit since reopening and I am not impressed! Still hoping they will find a groove. The resume of the cheif/owner is outstandingly impressive, but the dining menu choices just does not match up. He needs to visit a couple of five star Raleigh resturants to see what customers are looking for. Will go back one more time, but not for Brunch!
Our dinner was amazing!! Scallops were yummy! We had a lovely birthday dinner there. Our waitress was fantastic! We wished the creme brulee had been hot, other than that delish!
The service, food, atmosphere were all outstanding!
Since the establishment has just opened I gave them the benefit of the doubt. We waited around 40 mins for our food to come out and server was not very attentive but food was good.
Waitress Cassidy was knowledgeable and friendly. Wait time a bit excessive, kitchen seemed to be backed up.
Noise level a bit high.
Steak was way under cooked, bloody even after sending back 2 times
Food was ok. I know just opened and there is tweaking that can be done. We will go back.
Excellent food and service. The only thing we should suggest is a dress code. This is too nice of a place, and too expensive, to show up in a tee-shirt and flip-flops. Otherwise would be an excellent special occasion restaurant.
Jack’s of Wilson is a great restaurant. The food and service are excellent. Very nice, modern and tasteful decor. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.
Pecan appetizer was not edible. Our party preferred the simplicity of the previous menu.
Upon arriving at Jack's the outside was very well maintained. Walking into the restaurant we were greeted with a warm, friendly, smiling staff. The inside of the restaurant was very warm, inviting and relaxing. The wait staff was very friendly and we were very well taken care of. Now, the food... the food was outstanding. There was three of us, we all three ordered something different and we all enjoyed our food. We will be back!
Food was delicious, cocktails very good, and service was excellent.
Service was very slow. Food ok but, but they wouldn't let you substitute anything. You had to take what was offered with each entrée. Most of the entree's had Market Price so you had to ask the staff how much things were. The Brussel sprouts were ok, but needed to be cooked longer they were hard for the most part and were luke warm not hot as we expected.
Food was very good, with lots of different items on the menu that you don't normally find in Wilson. The Salmon Bolognesewas the best fish/seafood dish I have ever had. The wait staff was great very effiecient and knowledgeable about the meals and restaurant. The atmosphere was good and lively.
The crab dip was terrible, runny nothing like the previous offered.
The filet was very “twangy as if it was spoiled.
So glad to have Jack’s representing a high-end, locally run and sourced craft restaurant. The menu is amazing and the food even better. The staff didn’t miss a beat, especially considering it was opening week. Best wishes for enduring success! We will see you often!
