A unique and fabulous cuisine paired with excellent service, and a casual yet trendy ambiance. Amazing raw bar. Staff was very knowledgeable regarding all menu items from food to the unique wines and beers. I highly recommend the deviled egg appetizer. I traveled with a group and was able to sample several menu items- each one excellent and unique. I highly recommend this place for any occasion- date night, everyday dining, group events, special occasions, etc.
Excellent! Craft cocktails, service is excellent, and their menu has some nice pairings between the drinks small plates and entrees!
Service and waitstaff are wonderful!
The place is beautiful and the food was great. The service was pretty bad. It took 30 minutes to get coffee and mimosas (as we watched numerous people who came in after us get the same thing). We had to find another server to see what the hold up was because our server wouldn’t come to our table. We were there on vacation and most likely won’t go back.
Jackrabbit is awesome and I highly recommend! We will definitely return next time we are in Portland!
Wow! absolutely delicious...inventive, thoughtful, creative! Lots of adjectives, lots of good food. Could almost make me wish I lived in Portland. Also server staff in bar and restaurant outstanding.
GREAT food and drinks, attentive service and an eclectic menu. Really loved the food and service. Only downside, an unnecessarily LOUD place with a frankly bizarre choice of blaring hip hop and guitar rock being played through our dinner. Impossible to have a conversation without shouting the night we went there. Detracted from an otherwise awesome experience.
We booked this place for brunch on a wh while we were staying downtown. The food was very good. I think they were understaffed. Our server did the best he could but we had to ask to order, for more coffee several times and the check after waiting a while. If there were a couple more servers it would have been perfect. Food was delicious. A little spendy but the quality was there.
Service was over the top outstanding. We were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary and they treated us like royalty!
One of our favorite restaurants. Definitely try the tonno crudo or beef tartare. The pork ragu and water buffalo are excellent also. The service is excellent and the ambiance is very nice. Try to get seated in the back room or one of the side booths to minimize the noise.
Amazing food and cocktails
Jack rabbit was great! Smoked salmon avocado bread was amazing! Oysters were very fresh and loved all the sauces! The steak frites were bomb as well!
I enjoyed the food very much, although the serving of Foie Gras seemed very stingy for $20.00. Overall the prices at extremely high for what you get, as other restaurants of this quality are notably less such as Bistro Agnes, Little Bird, and Headwaters at the Heathman . The noise level was extremely high, although the room was lovely. The waiter was very busy and we could have gotten more attention. I would come back, but the price is daunting for a regular diner.
Expensive!! But the food was impeccable! Absolutely delicious, but don't expect to be full after dropping $35 on an entree, you'll most likely hit up another restaurant afterwards
My wife and I enjoyed an early dinner on a Monday night for our anniversary. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but our server didn’t hover. The food specials were unique and delicious. Our server suggested a couple of drinks for my wife and she loved them both. The location was convenient as well. The house potatoes alone are worth a trip back, but there definitely other menu items we’re dying to try.
Came here for brunch. Restaurant was almost empty, yet service was awful. Coffee served cold and food was barely edible. I didn’t have silverware yet couldn’t get attention of staff. Despite leaving my entree untouched, waitress never asked if it was ok or what was wrong. Perhaps this was a very off day, but given money spent on a table for 5 for which most of food was left on plates and for which service was abominable, this will be a hard pass for us. Truly disappointed.
Service on Sunday morning was terrible!!!
Amazing food. Our waiter was also fabulous. We enjoyed our dinner very much!
We enjoyed the food and service, but the lighting is too dim, even for dinner, and the music is too loud.
Food was slow to come and lamb rigatoni was overcooked. Great shame as this restaurant had fairly high ratings in TA. The manager made up for this by kindly not charging.
I ate here 4x in one week and each time was better and better. After being in town for business, this convenient spot offer a great place for me to brief my day with team. After having such great experiences, I brought my husband in for a date night and it was incredible!
The Duck Confit was to die for and their specials can’t be beat!
Cute spot with lovely decor. We went for brunch. They menu is very creative with lots of interesting ingredients. Delicious eggs bendict.
The food was very good, the waitstaff was fine. The restaurant was overwhelmed!! The wait between ordering and receiving food was terrible. There were special events and clearly the kitchen was not up to the task on the night we were there. I’d go again but I would check if they are having special events.
Grilled Cheese is insane.
Best burger in Portland.
Went 3x in one week. It was AWESOME!
This was my third time dinning at Jackrabbit, the food is amazing! I have loved each time. The service on the other hand has not always been great. I didn't complain the first time we has slow hoping it was just an off night, never had a refill on any drinks including water. The next visit they were very attentive. So I did not hesitate to make reservations a third time. Unfortunately, they did not deliver on service, it took quite awhile to get our order taken, drinks were served but never ask if we wanted another (and we did) and water was never refilled. We skipped dessert as it took so long for them to clear our plates and only allotted 90 mins for lunch. We also were not asked if we would like dessert.
The food is great, if you have the time go, you will be happy you did. Just be prepared to ask for basic service items such as more water.
Another great meal at Jackrabbit! A ‘must eat’ when I’m in the area! Love the 20 for 20 option at lunch!
The atmosphere and service was very good but the bun my guest had for her breakfast sandwich was like a cheap hamburger bun...disappointing. Also, I made a reservation and ended up being seating in the middle of the room at a two/top highboy...not a good location right next to another two/top highboy. We were seated right away so that was good since we had a noon Thorns game to get to after brunch.
We had a family birthday with wide ranging ages. Jackrabbit handled it perfectly. The service was spot on, the food delicious and the atmosphere loads of fun. Delightfully approachable fare, obviously from scratch and very inventive. We'll be back!
I was impressed with the quality of the food and service. I would never have guessed it was a hotel restaurant. I highly recommend ordering family style. We had the 4 pound pin bone steak and a couple sides and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, and 4 of us couldn’t finish it all. Also appreciate they were welcoming even when we showed up with 2 infants in tow.
Ok for farmed raised salmon. Their signature salmon on toast is good by would have liked to see more local products in their menu. Almost everything comes from Washington or elsewhere. Server was overly solicitous and really needed to back off on the touching. Upsold me on poor wine selection and misdelivered a couple of items. Then wouldn’t give me my 1000 pts for the bonus points reservation and I ate and paid for the equivalent of 2 entrees, both Michael the server and her manager are scam artists.
Kind of disappointed yah think?
Outstanding service and amazing food.
Our waiter Ken was terrific! Food was excellent and The restaurant was comfortable.
All the food was spectacular. Comfort food elevated to a higher level. Loco moco often 2 scoops of rice spam egg and gravy. This was sausage kimchi rice cooked with a crispy crust and a mushroom gravy to die for. And the egg was from a duck so it was huge, perfectly cooked. An umami bomb. The confit duck and waffle was served with smoked maple syrup. Almost drank it plain. The salmon platter had 3 types of fish, lox, mousse and trout. Huge portions.
Not the best service, I think our server was new. Sweet but slow. A little pricey but worth every penny.
Great food -- highly recommend the grilled cheese starter (it's unique!). Service was really slow and I asked for a side of mayo that never came, but by the time the person came back we were almost done eating.
We found this restaurant on OpenTable so we took a chance and we were amazed. The food, service, and drinks were exceptional. We were so glad we made our way to this Portland gem.
solid original dishes. braised pork polenta at brunch ver good.
Very good food and wonderful service! A little on the loud side.
I AM TRULY SORRY MY FRIENDS WERE SO DRUNK! 😫 I did enjoy everything I ate!
