Jack Pandl's Whitefish Bay Inn
"You are a stranger here but once"
When making a reservation please note if you would like it to be for inside, the outdoor patio, or the heated outdoor tent. Thank You!
"A Pandi's Specialty" Always fresh! Boneless and skinless, broiled to perfection then lightly finished with Spanish paprika. Served with our own famous tartar sauce
Jack Pandl's Famous German Pancake
served with choice of bacon, sausage or fresh fruit of the season
Wiener Schnitzel ala Holstein
- Friendly, cozy ambience appropriate for a neighborhood restaurant
- Warm, welcoming staff
- Mediocre food
- Overpriced menu relative to what you get
- Seasonal menu confusion (we were handed a Summer Drinks menu in the first week of December)
The food here is always delicious. I had the special of the day which was salmon cakes. They were fabulous! The homemade soups are also very tasty.
The entrees are not inexpensive but are worth the price. Most entrees include soup or salad and a choice of potato or vegetable.
When dining here you are always able to hold a conversation with others at your table. That is not the case at many other restaurants.
I highly recommend you try this restaurant!
We were warmly greeted and it was a great dining experience from then oni took some of my meal home and they included some of those great chips and a roll
We also had a small poinsettia on our table which made it festive
I grew up in Milwaukee, had never been there. The menu is pretty old school and expensive with a lack of anything healthy, but is certainly nostalgic. The cocktails were amazing and I had never heard of an Old Fashioned Sweet, Sour or Pressed.
Our bartender was certainly entertaining and so was the waitstaff.
Very nice ambience ad service. The restaurant has an old world Milwaukee flavor.
Always love to stop in when we’re back in town. Menu is always updated but with the classics available. Very attentive waitstaff and bus service kept our waters full (difficult for our crowd). The chocolate mousse pie was the piece de resistance.
As always, delicious food in a great atmosphere with wonderful service!
George Pandls does not "accept" open table. they had no reservation for us. they did find us a table but were very rushed and crabby
Excellent food and service. Bartender was outstanding and waiter and food was very good. The low point was the unprofessional host that seemed to hang around and not know what he was doing. The very nice busboy would do a better job showing people to their table!
Excellent menu choices, tasty and plentiful food, good service.
Had my brother & wife in town for visit. They were impressed and pleased. Not crowded.. You guys know your business and I'm glad you still are in business.
Excellent food and service. ! I’ve been going to Pandls for years and it is consistently good
Top notch service and excellent food made this a very pleasant dining experience.
The whitefish is always very tasty.
The ambiance of this established restaurant is romantic, adorable and cozy. While there was outdoor seating with heaters on this beautiful fall evening, we chose to sit indoors to have a more realistic experience of the restaurant's historical feel. The service was outstanding, friendly and professional (We arrived a little late due to Uber issues, but the staff was so empathetic and accommodating regardless!). The food was delicious - we ordered the Weiner Schnitzel and it was phenomenal - some of the best we have ever had, and that is coming from someone 100% German. Thank you Jack Pandl's for a wonderful evening!
There is no better place to have a pleasant dinner with friends and family. Service and food are exceptional!
We were celebrating a birthday and had a delicious lunch and dessert.
Always a great spot! Love the nostalgic decor, great food & friendly service. A Milwaukee treasure!
Good food, nice people. One of my favorite places.
Jack Pandls is always a favorite, and last night was no exception. We had a delicious meal and a terrific time. We will always be back!
We didn’t realize Sunday brunch was the only menu option......not indicated on line.
Our waiter appeared unkempt and not very attentive...I requested my beverage 2x before I received it.
The small plate of store bought pasty was disappointing.
My eggs Benedict had very minimal Hollandaise sauce and the ham was tough :(
My husband had Wienerschnitzel. It came with red cabbage , which he would never have ordered had he known that would be on the plate. The fried egg on top was like rubber :(
All in all not a great experience and I doubt we would ever recommend Pandles.
This restaurant was such a pleasure for the whole family & it felt like a special occasion for all of us. It felt personal, nostalgic & had a different level of service that you just don’t see very often anymore, especially for what we ended up paying for this experience. However, this wouldn’t mean anything if the food was not outstanding, which it absolutely was! From the fresh home-baked goods to the drinks to the soups, kids meals (ribs!) Eggs Benedict & schnitzel, everything was better than the next. We did have to wait a bit, but the staff did a great job communicating with us & we never felt forgotten—honestly, it was a pleasant, quiet place to sit & visit. We will definitely be back!
Very good. The salmon was excellent.
We enjoyed the dinner and the terrace… we’ll be back again!
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Lamb shank was out of this world and spinach quiche was great.
Great meal all round!
Whitefish on the menu is great. Ribs were a bit dry. Shrimp scampi was just fine. Salads a bit dry, too. A staple for the area though. Great patio that is perfect for a party or reunion. The servers are super nice and loyal to their jobs.
Good old school joint..
I returned to Pandels after last visiting my hometown of Whitefish Bay after 30 years. Everything remained the same with tip top service and phenomenal food
Needs a new men’s bathroom
Great service and food. Enjoyed the German dinners at this Milwaukee area classic restaurant.
Pandl’s was an enjoyable lunch spot. The food was good and the service outstanding. If you like a local restaurant with long history with the community, this is worth checking out.
Our favorite place to go! Absolutely love Pandl’s.
The Hostess and Waitress were amazing. Truly cared that you had a great experience and that the food was delicious. Served on China! would definitely recommend and go back
Great service along with great food.
Great old style supper club experience...even down to the antelope horns on the wall.
Met up with a old friend of mine for a business get together dinner. Good location, great selection and good ambience. He had the shrimp scampi and it was a little dry but still good. I had the jaeger schnitzel and it was pretty good. It was worth the price and the experience for my first time there. I would give it a second shot again.
The restaurant showed great appreciation for us being there. Nice buttered crackers came out first to nimble on. I then had corn beef soup which was excellent, then their renown white fish with their homemade excellent tartar sauce. It was also served with buttered “new” potatoes. Highly recommend their white fish with was baked with a dusting of paprika .
The service was genuine and thoughtful. It also was enjoyable to be at a historic restaurant from 1915 that still had lots of original charm. They did accommodate us with regards to distancing during the Covid virus. In fact ,only one other couple was there for this Thursday lunch. I will return to get their German pancake.
Enjoyed a holiday lunch with family. Three of us had the special - sauerbraten with red cabbage and dumplings, salad/soup. Super delicious. Everything fresh, including the coffee and rolls. Our waiter, who has been there forever, was attentive, fun and engaging. We always enjoy our meals here.
One of our favorite brunch places. My wife and I went on a Sunday morning and were one of the first people there. The pastries and mimosas started things off deliciously and that was followed by soup or salad. My farina dumpling chicken soup was excellent and my wife’s salad was nice and fresh. I can’t resist the German pancake, which was fantastic and very filling. My wife had the spinach quiche, which was light and delicious. All during the meals our coffee cups and water glasses were kept filled.
Great food but a bit over priced compared to other places I have been such as the Golden Mast.
