This location has only been open for 3 days since the COVID closure bit you couldn’t tell. The service was spot on as was the food. Their takeout was crazy busy but they kept all timelines like it was a normal day. All tables were very clean and EVERY table was thoroughly cleaned between customers. Very happy

Had a very nice meal, great service with Moira.

Our reservation for 6 resulted in being seated in a booth for 4. They offered to place a chair at the end of the booth which was a partial solution. Eventually, 2 of our party sat at a separate booth.

To make matters worse, our reservation was during one of the hottest heatwaves of the summer (>40 degrees with humidex) and their air conditioning was not working properly. As the restaurant continued to fill up with patrons, the heat intensified. The air blowing from the vents appeared mainly to be recirculating the already warm air in the restaurant. It was not even cool, let alone cold. When we mentioned it to the server, it was acknowledged that it wasn't working properly but no other explanation provided.

It was so uncomfortable that we ate very fast just to leave the restaurant and to return to an air conditioned car in our sweaty summer attire. We noticed that it was a bit cooler in the bar area and even on the outside patio!

We have eaten at this location in the past on cooler days and were satisfied. We will not be returning until we know their air conditioning is fixed.

Always a fun place! All ages! Food and drink always good and always reasonably priced. We go regularly, and always enjoy!

Table was not ready when we arrived at the restaurant. We had a reservation.

Lovely date with my girlfriends! Patio was super cozy from the fireplaces & heated lamps.

Unfortunately my meal was under cooked twice but our server took care of the issue immediately! Great service and overall great experience!

Arrived at 7:15 as my request through Open Table and Hostess didn't have any knowlege of my reservation. She also mentioned this was the 3rd time today that people showed up with reservations she knew nothing about. What good is booking through Open Table ?????

Birthday dinner for daughter

We went for a family dinner to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday at the St. Catharines location. The staff was amazing. Our server Madi was absolutely wonderful! All of the other staff were great too. Food was really good and very reasonably priced. We would definately return.

Second time I've been to your establishment.
Amazing both times.
We love your cheddar beer soup, my husband and I both had it.
Our group had a couple steaks, said it was the best they ever had.
Your portions are always very generous, and you staff is one of the most friendly and attentive o have ever had the pleasure to see.
It was a little loud but it was also a Saturday night dinner service, and the place was packed.

Jack Asters is a nice place to eat. We have eaten there a lot. I have never had to reserve and thought with reserving a table we would not be stuck by the door, which is exactly where they stuck us. BY THE DOOR. There was always people coming in and out. Talking. Food was good though. I would suggest that if someone reserves early, like the day before like we did, they should have a better table.

Appetizer platter was decent, husband ordered steak which wasn’t very good, I ordered fish & chips which were overcooked. Entrees came out way too quickly, we were less than half finished our appetizers. We were there New Year’s Eve around 5:30. We were done and out the door within 45 minutes.

My favourite spot to eat. The food is great, the service is fast and friendly.

Son’s birthday!

Just ok, nothing great. Food was very expensive for what you actually get. Not enough vegetarian selections.

Unfortunately it was not a great experience. We usually go at least twice per month because of convenience but may not return after this experience.
We sat at our table for an extended period of time while 3 tables (that were seated after us) were all approached by servers and orders taken. I had to ask a server passing by to assist us.
Then our order came to the table with wrong side items items plated. Thirdly we had to ask for utensils and condiments (again waiting to start eating) and to top it off the ketchup bottle was empty!
For the cost of dinner at this restaurant for an adult and child I expect better service overall.

Wait staff were really nice. Food was great. Would definitely recommend.

We went to Jack's for a family birthday. Food was good and the service was exceptional! Highly recommend Jack's for special occasions as they make it really fun

Menu has limited choices and very little for calorie watchers. Food was ok nut generally overpriced for the options. Server not great as we had to ask her to take empty plates from table.

Always friendly staff and good food. Price wise I would expect 20-30 a person.

We sat back in the corner by the bar, so we got serviced by the 2 bartenders. They were unbelievable. It was our anniversary and they were friendly, funny and gave us great service. The food was awesome. We really did have a great experience. Thanks, Guys

Sat on the patio which was really nice. Our server was very nice. Food was ok.

My family and I really enjoyed our meals there. Also, our server was very nice.

In area overnight and had a coupon so decided to eat here. We were seated right away and treated like we were the only people in the restaurant. Service was excellent as was the food. However, parking was a nightmare.

Mothers Day

We were excited to finally get to try this Jack Astor's. We had come twice before and couldn't get in. Once they were closed for a private function and the second time they were closed for renovations. This is why we tried the Open Table to make sure they were open and to make reservations. But we were disappointed by the menu. We went on-line to check out the menu but it was not available at the restaurant. The menu seemed very limited and did not offer half the items that we had seen on-line. If we had seen the real menu we would not have gone. The service was good and our waitress was very nice. We were just disappointed at the lack of choices and the food itself did not measure up to other Jack Astor's.

Fun atmosphere. Great beer on tap.

The music is way too loud. Could hardly talk to the people at the table.
