Food is great if a little pricey. Very nice atmosphere. I will only pay cash though from now on. Two of my credit cards were recently copied or cloned with fraudulent transactions coming in on both cards. These fraudulent transactions came in this past Sunday only. The two banks were quick to reach me and shut them off. The only place I used both cards was the J. Towne Tavern. One of those cards had not been used in seven months prior to the J. Towne Tavern charge. This could be a co-incidence but maybe not... Jimmy D. please keep an eagle eye on your staff just in case.

Kudos to Cassie, our waitress. She was great! The good was great. Music in main dining area and we asked for the quieter side. Very accommodating.

Mothers day Brunch overbooked, seated by front door, which banged loudly, seats were in the isle of walkway to brunch food line, had to get up/down constantly. Food at brunch buffet was poorly lit/labled. Waiter was great!!, hostess not so nice, but in her defense she had to deal with complaining customers due to an overbooked restaurant.

I took my mother to the J Town Tavern this past Sunday for Mother's Day Brunch. This brunch had a lot of delicious items, and both my mom, and myself were very happy. We will return for brunch another Sunday soon.

Had a new waiter who was in training and was very attentive and willing to please. Had good suggestions on what to try and as we were not in a rush, made sure to check on us while also allowing us to linger without pestering us for orders. We had a nice bottle of wine and the seafood sushi special of the night. The food was fresh and tasty. A very nice and relaxed evening with a great server.

Spinach and artichoke dip is so-so and the chips it comes with extremely greasy. To the point that all the chips had puddles of oil collecting on them. Chicken Caesar salad is better bought elsewhere. Menu lists parmesan crisps that were nowhere to be found and about four croutons. Filet mignon was doused in pepper and overcooked. Wasn't horribly bad, but not worth the price paid for it. The accompanying vegetables were overcooked, greasy, and barely edible. The French fries were decent, though. Carrot cake for desert, though I'm not sure that's what was served. I've never had carrot cake that tasted like it was topped with whipped cream. It's telling that this restaurant literally shares a sliding door with the diner next to it, because that's what this is: a diner with higher aspirations.

My wife and I went over the weekend to J Town for our first meal. We could not believe how incredible the experience was. The ambiance was great, the staff was exceptional and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed four courses and each one was better than the next. I fully recommend this be added to your list. I know we will.
