   Food was overcooked and charred to the brink of not able to be eaten. Ordered medium as bone in NY Strip. Mushrooms were cold on arrival. Overpriced wine list. Not a great value for the bill.

   Amazing! So much food, we even split an entrée and still so stuffed. Everything was spot on. Crab bisque was amazing (they pour it table side with big chunks of crab in thr middle), lobster was cooked perfectly and lobster mac and cheese was rich and creamy but still had that lobster flavor....can you tell we went on a Friday during lent? I was apprehensive at first to go to a place known for steaks, but we couldn't have had a better meal. Oh and the smoked old fashioned is spot on!

    We were celebrating our 21st Wedding Anniversary on this Sunday evening. We were greeted with a smile and headed to the bar for a Happy Hour cocktail before our reservation time. We absolutely recommend the jalapeño blackberry margarita. Our server was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, sadly I do not remember his name. We started with Oysters Rockefeller, Crab Bisque and a wedge salad. The crab bisque was so velvety, sweet and delicious. My salad was fresh and crisp with plenty of bacon and blue cheese crumbles, very tasty. We chose to order from their Prix Fixe menu which included 3 courses. My husband chose the 6oz Filet paired with a crab cake, baked potato and mushrooms. I also had the Filet with crab cake, asparagus and Brussels sprouts. All of our food was so perfectly prepared, our steaks were incredibly tender and flavorful. The vegetables were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Our desserts were Classic NY cheesecake and crème brûlée, both of which were delicious and worth the splurge (we usually do not eat carbs or sugars) I highly recommend J Gilbert’s, we will definitely be back.     I fell in love with this restaurant when I took my mother there for her Birthday but it wasn't too busy that night, the manager was very kind to my mother by offering her a drink and dessert for her celebration. But she is handicap and the city has not allowed for parking in this area for the businesses and the apartments. We could not find anywhere near to park and there is no handicap parking. Our only choice was to pay for valet parking at the Marriott and that is $20.00 plus tip. That night the manager paid for our parking because of the struggles we had in finding a spot. We have since eaten there for Thanksgiving and Christmas but it seems the place has grown in popularity so it is busier and the ambiance has changed and not for the better. Thanksgiving was good and we really enjoyed the meal and service... Christmas was okay but it just didn't feel as fun and we felt really rushed to eat and leave. Again parking is a HUGE issue unless you don't mind paying extra or walking really far in the cold. We went again around the end of the year and now for my birthday. Both of those times, my steak wasn't cooked correctly or we had other service issues. At the prices they charge, it is not acceptable to be so unhappy with the food or the wait staff.... it seems more now about the large parties or tables that will bring in the bigger tips and tabs rather than just being kind and providing good service to everyone, we were rushed out this last time with our food coming just as we were eating our first course, I hadn't even gotten to eat half of my soup before my entrée arrived. They wanted to take away my soup, but I still have a lot of crab meat left. They didn't do this to other tables.... in the end the manager asked why we didn't tell them to take our food back to sit under warming lights ... how about better timing with your staff? It isn't my job to have my food timed for the courses .... we left feeling rather let down and had a long walk to the car

    Service was not top-notch, as I have had better service at J. Gilberts in the past. Not impressed with the J. Gilberts app. I've tried unsuccessfully to add my receipts to that app, and it only allow me to do that unless I pay Apple Pay. I would like an opportunity to earn rewards from the amount of times I dine at J. Gilbert's.

    All was pretty good with open table. The tables were a lot closer than before. We were on top of others. My husband ordered a salad and did not receive. It was compensated, but he really did want it. The waiter did not come around to check. The food was delicious and we were on time for our show across the hall.

    This was our first visit to J. Gilbert's. We were seated immediately and our server was quick to provide the night's features. I like the many options of the menu and sides. They also have a wonderful wine selection. One unique thing was the choice of cutlery. I've never seen this before and it added a a "cool" touch. The food was excellent, the service was amazing and the quantities were large enough that I couldn't quite finish it all. This is not an inexpensive restaurant, but if you're looking for a nice place, I highly recommend it.

    Exceptional service and meal. Asked server what she recommended and everything she recommended truly was delicious. Best steak I’ve had in a while, also first time trying a bone in Kansas City strip and wow! Mind blown. Had the prefix meal and I recommend it. Just the salad as an appetizer could be considered a meal on its own. Truly delighted with our experience and our sever Silvia G was top notch! If I lived in the area this would’ve definitely been my go to restaurant for any and all occasions.

    Everything was amazing !! The Caesar salad was to die for. The filet had so much flavor. Asparagus was nice and smoky flavor. Chocolate velvet cake was amazing as well !! Alaskan king crab was great too !

    We have been here many times and the last 3x the wedge salad has been brown and dry. Not very fresh. Our mashed potatoes last night were pretty dry as well. But our steak was great! Please look over whoever is doing the salads. I will of course still come back tho!
