   Prixe Fix menu is a good deal. Steak was undercooked and overall restaurant was noisier than expected. However, food was good and we enjoyed our evening.

   Birthday, sat in the bar, got a nice table, service was very good food was good (steak came out a little undercooked, (ordered medium rare plus, came out rare plus) we ate as much as we could around me the edges then ask our server to cook if it could be cooked a little more she agreed it was under cooked and took it back to be cooked more, came back quickly. We finished it, the meat was very good just a little undercooked (not a big issue). I was my birthday and was able to use the coupon (we brought friends). We will definitely be back (service has been very good, food has been good, selection has also been good) Thank you.

   We had a wonderful server Sylvia! Was on top of everything and made our night. The food was outstanding! Our filets were perfectly cooked and all our seafood was amazing! Chef Jimmy runs a great kitchen & Roland is a terrific GM. We also had the pleasure of meeting a new manager ( to us) He personally came to our table & thanked my other half for his years of service. This place really knows how to welcome people. Thank you to all for an amazing birthday dinner for my other half. We couldn’t stop talking about the food the rest of the night.

    What an unbelievable meal and experience in every way! My family was in Omaha for a Creighton vs Xavier game - so it was a special occasion for me to have all my kids & their spouses together. We had a party of 8+ a newborn infant. I was grateful that I had made a reservation one week earlier, because the restaurant was packed, but the ambience was elegant, low-lit and lovely. To my surprise, we were placed in an elegant, private room (perhaps bc of the baby), at a table that sat eight. It was perfect! Our waiter was wonderful, pleasant, and attentive the entire evening - despite the baby and our family being a bit tipsy from the excitement of the game. Over the years, our family has eaten at many fine restaurants; but, everyone agreed that this was the best meal, especially the BEST steak, that they had ever eaten - and the price was quite reasonable compared to Denver and San Diego! We couldn’t help sharing each others meals! What a wonderful ending to this very special family reunion! Thank you, J. Gilbert’s, for a beautiful evening!

    We had dinner for my daughters birthday. Our entire experience was phenomenal from the moment we walked in. Beginning with the hostess that sat us and gave my daughter a birthday card from the restaurant, to the manager that checked on us a few times throughout our meal & our server who was professional, courteous and personable. I couldn’t recommend a fine dining restaurant more. Such a delightful dinner for my girl turning 12. Thank you J Gilberts!!!

    We met some friends here for our anniversary-everything was AMAZING! We have done this in the past at Mahogany Steakhouse and it was BY FAR much better than that! We will return definitely!

    I had asked for a private seating area and from what I was told, my clients were not seated in a private room. Other than that the service by the waitress was said to be amazing along with the food. Definitely coming back!

    Took my girlfriend out for her birthday. Was pleasantly surprised with the price and quality of food. I felt it was very accurately priced for the dinner. Would recommend to anyone looking for a special occasion dinner.

    We are never disappointed dining at J. Gilbert’s! Always great food, service, and menu. Enjoyed the burger, ribs, old fashioned cocktail, and espresso martini. That martini! Delish. A little pricey, but the service and food quality make up for it.

    Waiter was super friendly and helpful, food was excellent. We had to steak combo and seafood mixed grill, both were great! If you order the carrot cake, be prepared, it’s a very large piece (& very delicious).

    It took the waitress 15 plus mins to greet us when we first got there. She forgot several items that we ordered included our wine, bread and part of our dinner. She came over with steak knives after we were almost done eating our steak. Came over again with spoons for our dessert after we were pretty much finished. We had to ask for refills, she was not attentive to the table. This was very disappointing as we thought this was a “nicer upscale” restaurant. This was our anniversary dinner and we were very disappointed in the overall service.

    The waiter was so disconnected to our table - wine ordered when the meal arrived showed up 20 minutes later after reminding him. Had to actually ask for steak knives for two filets and a swordfish as they sat in front of us with only butter knives. Asked for bread, if never showed, dessert showed up 20 after we asked for it delicate it was ordered with the meal - then everyone’s drinks were dry when the carrot cake showed up - 20 minutes later to get a box Poorest service out of dozen visits - despite this poor service we supported the staff with a $75 tip - Kind of a farewell to J Gilberts for us and our hour drive for our special celebration. Don’t Expect the best - it’s just not there anymore.

    The food is usually so good and it was mediocre at best. Our service wasn't as attentive as I have had. I try to frequent J Gilberts, as often as I can with the prices that have to be paid. This was not by any means the best experience I've had there.

    I was really looking forward to our reservations here. The ambiance was wonderful, the food five star. Our bill for two was around 294.00, but it was worth it. That being said I wish I was there long enough to enjoy it. We had a 5:00 dinner reservation so the occupancy was minimal. As soon as we sat down, the waiter asked for our drink choice, appetizer choice and dinner choices all at once, then proceeded to bring everything out fast and on top of each other. He was very efficient and friendly but we couldn’t talk on our date night for him interrupting and we were rushed through our meal so fast I swear we felt like we were on a conveyor belt and had to finish before we got to the end of the finish line. With my dessert in a to go bag, and my wine recorked in another bag… out the door we went in about 40 minutes. We stood outside the restaurant and asked each other, “did we just eat or imagine it?” I was literally out of breath and felt like I ran a race.

    Asked to talk to the Manager about multiple large pieces of crab shells in my Crab Bisque and he was “Full of excuses” and walked away when I told him I felt sick and couldn’t finish my dinner which was the 4oz steak and crab cake from the Prix Fixe menu. I tried to talk to him but instead he was just rude to me and the worst part is I told him “My husband and I come here often and I get the crab bisque and this is the first time I have ever had a problem with all these large shell pieces in my soup”. It was the rudeness of the manager who did not want to listen to me and just walked away that angered me the most, our waiter was great.

    Went here for our wedding anniversary. Everything was good as it always is (we eat here a lot). I rarely order salmon at restaurants but it's probably my favorite entree here. They gave us a free carrot cake slice for our anniversary. It's my favorite carrot cake ever.
