A Farm-to-Table Italian Restaurant which concentrates on the flavors of our region by using quality ingredients from neighboring farms. Our mission is to bring our guests back to a time where you knew where your food came from as well as the farmers that worked so hard to raise sustainable and ethical products. The menus change daily to reflect what is in season and available locally. We pride ourselves on everything we do in house:
Pasta, Butchering, Charcuterie, Condiments, Pickles, Bread and Desserts.

Burger was phenomenal. Only issue was the patty was massive but served on a small square focaccia bun so had to eat with fork. Cheese and charcuterie plate was delicious and parpadelle ragu was terrific.

It’s a farm to table place w/no set menu so you really don’t know what they will be serving that evening until you get there. We just couldn’t wrap ourselves around any of the dinner choices.

Food was a pricey for the value. Flavors weren’t anything special. It was a decent experience, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Server was completely unattentive and rude. It took a very long time for first point of contact and cocktails and to see her in between. There isn’t a big enough selection on the menu and even though it’s farm to table, that doesn’t seem acceptable and definitely should run out of anything. It did not seem worth the money at all.

We had an excellent meal at J. Devoti. Service was first rate, very professional and attentive. We enjoyed all of our selections although we wish the menu offered more choices. The menu changes regularly, so you can always expect to find something of interest.

Overall, very nice dining experience. Would rate 5 star, but ravioli was a bit tough and chewy. Everything else, though, was excellent.

Enjoyable dinner. Only disappointment was the spaghetti and meats entre. Ravioli and scallops were very good. Also great fresh baked breads. Worth the $3.

The meal started out good with the beet salad. And the wine suggested to us was good at at reasonable price. Where things went downhill were the entrees. The meatball pizza had almost no meat. The chicken dish was just okay and was described as having sweet potatoes. There was literally one small round slice of a sweet potato on the dish. The order of truffle pasta was tasteless as was the frittata. No flavor. The staff was lovely and helpful but the food will keep us from going back again.

Local food - all within 150 miles. Chef Devoti created elevated comfort food. The bar staff was able to provide special request cocktails and spirits. Service was impeccable. Would highly recommend and looking forward to a return visit. Our table of 4 enjoyed an appetizer (deviled eggs!!) and the bread service (the whole grain sourdough!!), soup and salads (winter squash soup with wheat berries and beet salad), entrees (scallops, short ribs and spaghetti & meatballs) and sides (polenta! and mushrooms!) and dessert (shared a apple pear hand pie!!) The amuse-bouche was wonderful and the fresh made chocolate chip cookies at the end were also pleasant surprise and very tasty!! The chef knows how to use the fresh local ingredients and the staff makes sure the dining experience is perfect.

I was expecting more as this was listed as a top ten new restaurant of 2018 by Feast. I thought the food was fair st best and the atmosphere just so so - somewhat overpriced too. The service was good however! Not likely to try again.

The food was awesome--not a large menu. We went on a really cold night, but the temperature was pretty cold in the restaurant--so not as comfortable as would be preferable.

Two of four dishes were great. Rockfish was overdone a swimming in butter. Ravioli, although excellent in themselves, were also swimming in butter overwhelming the lightness of the artisan cheese

We had a wonderful experience. While the menu is small and changes daily, the selection was great. My husband had a pasta bolognese (a special for the evening) that was fantastic. The sauce was wonderful and the noodles were cooked to absolute perfection. I ordered the large plate of meats and cheeses. With the exception of the pâté (which just isn't for me), it was quite nice and more than a meal. Our waiter, Kevin, was friendly and efficient, but not obtrusive. It was very quite because there was a snow storm and there were only a few diners. I'm excited to go back and see how the ambiance is when the restaurant is bustling. We did get to meet Chef Devoti. He was friendly and charming. We also talked to the bartender (whose name I cannot remember - sorry about that). He was knowledgeable and very friendly. Overall, we had an excellent dining experience. We will be back!

Set menu for New Year's Eve, excellent value at $75 and a thoughtful menu with first-class food (though the dessert was a bit too doughy and heavy for our taste) . Their wine flight was not quite as good as on other nights we've been, but for $25 a head no complaints. They were worried about the noise level with a full restaurant, but we've experienced much worse elsewhere, and some noise is inevitable at new year's.

We chose to go to J Devoti's on New Year's eve because it is close to our home so we could just walk. The menu was prix fixe and we loved every single bite. The wine pairing was spot on and introduced us to some new wines we would never have thought of trying such as a Gewurztraminer from Oregon.
We look forward to better weather so we can go again and dine al fresco on their lovely patio.

The service was very slow and the manager or owner sat and chatted with friends instead of managing. The food was decent but not great. I would not recommend it.

This place is amazing! All the food is farm to table and everything in the place is made by them. The menu changes daily so there is no reason not to go back over and over.

I had the tasting menu and the chef slightly changed the choices in the menu to better suit my and my friend's palate. Everything was awesome. Food was great, service was great and friendly people.

I can't believe this place has been under our radar for all these years (13 to be exact). Was 5 Bistro until this last spring. Was also a Farm to Table concept then but now Farm to Table with Italian twist. Food was great, portions generous, service attentive and value priced. First time here and a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back.

All four of us totally enjoyed our meals and the extra little touches such as an amuse bouche before the first course. The atmosphere was cozy and the noise level was wonderful --- a rare plus in St. Louis restaurants these days. We realized that, on a winter night with snow predicted, the lack of diners contributed to the noise level. While bread is extra, I would suggest ordering it as it is absolutley delicious. All in all, this restaurant choice was a definite winner!

I can't say enough about the bread plate, olive oil and butter we ordered as an appetizer. I could have made it my meal. I ordered pork loin and it was OK, not outstanding. My husband ordered the burger. Although it was good, it was cold. The wait staff is very attentive but I would avoid coming at opening time. We had to wait for a cocktail and the appetizer.

My husband and I ordered the chef's tasting menu last weekend and it was amazing! The food was delicious, beautifully presented and creative. We opted to have the wine pairing included which was a great decision. The wines complimented each course perfectly. Although it was six courses, we did not leave overfilled. The portions were spot on. What a great value and opportunity to try local foods!

We always loved Five Bistro and were excited to try the new concept. Unfortunately, the food was innovative in concept but not exceptional in execution. Nothing was terrible but nor was any item the four of us ordered a standout.
Also, as a Italian inspired farm to table concept, I'd except more graciousness,warmth and generosity. I can't imagine any Italian changing for bread or delivering an order of deviled eggs with only three halves (although it was clear we had four people...I mean, where did the other half egg go?)
