Have not been here in a good while. Was in town and decided to stop by. I am definitely disappointed with the changes. This use to be a semi quiet, nice place for a dinner with my wife. Tonight the live music was average but too loud. I had trouble hearing the waitress when she talked about the specials. They have taken my favorite chicken dish off the menu. The bill was $70 without any alcohol, which was $20 more than I think it was worth. Looks like I will need to find a new Italian place when I am in Hot Springs.

We arrived a few minutes early but it was no problem. Service (Derrick) was spectacular. Attentive but not overwhelming. Food was awesome. Recommend the eggplant appetizer. I had never had eggplant like this before and it was delicious. Overall great experience. We will go back.

My wife and I enjoyed a great anniversary dinner at J&S last night. The service and food were both outstanding. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but were seated immediately in the “Red Room”. It was like a private room since there were no other guests in the room. I was concerned that we might be forgotten, but our server, Jenna, was very attentive, and the manager came round as well to check on us. For appetizers, we had Caprese salad made with heirloom tomatoes. It was really attractive and delicious. I had steamed clams. We shared the Tuscan Salmon entree, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. Finished the meal with vanilla bean creme brûlée. It had been many years since we visited J&S, but we will be back soon.

Wonderful food two times in a row. I’m a critic and a cook. This is not the old J&S. Eggplant rollatini, lasagna and limencello cake were wonderful. I dined in the restaurant & do wish the live music in the bar was quieter. However, I think this is our new place! With its superior food and service, J&S could run Luna Bella out of business.

Always an excellent dining experience, and the owners Jeannie and Sadiq always come by to check on how everything is going . Chris was our waiter, although new, he was excellent at telling about the specials, getting drinks and very knowledgeable about how to not interrupt conversation at the table. Everyone goes the extra mile to make it a very special evening!

Great service from the whole staff. From hostess to excellent server. The owner spoke with us twice and was very active in the floor. The food was on point. Fresh, homemade pasta-we had the lasagna and the beef short rib. Amazing on both. Will definitely be back next time we see in Hot Springs! Oh and they had live music, an acoustic set with Brooke Martin. Fantastic voice and made the evening that much more special.

Visiting from out of town and like to try local when we do. J&S can be a little deceiving as it sits within a strip mall with a hodge podge of other businesses. There is outdoor seating but no one was taking advantage of it because of the heat. Stepping inside we were quickly greeted by the hostess who sat us. A server assistant was to follow shortly after who introduced herself, brought some bread and olive oil for dipping. Our waiter came a few minutes later to tell us a little about the menu, specials and take a drink order. We started with the Fried Calamari, Shrimp and Veggies which had two shrimp, a few pieces of calamari and some veggies. It had two dipping sauces. Overall good but could have used a little more calamari. Next up was the wedge salade which we split and that turned out to be just enough for each of us. Lettuce was crisp, enjoyed small pieces of pork belly and the homemade bleu cheese dressing. Main course Baked Lobster Rigatoni which was ample size. It was covered in mozzarella cheese and one finger sized piece of lobster. Was hoping for a few more small pieces throughout. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was creamy with fresh pasta. We never try to eat all of our main course and we had plenty for leftovers. The new owner made his way around the tables introducing himself and thanking patrons for visiting. Nice added touch. We would recommend for a date night, group of friends or a night out. It was newly remodled within the last year as part of the new owership.

2nd visit to J&S and again a wonderful experience! The owners are so friendly and personable. Netting with each diner at least once if not more. Love the live entertainment!! The food is so flavorful and thoughtfully prepared and presented. Highly recommend!!!! Looking forward to another year of superior dining experiences. The food and service was excellent. My husband had the lasagna and he said it was really good. We split the grilled Caesar salad which was fantastic and I had the crab gnocchi with a beef tenderloin. The steak cooked perfectly and the gnocchi were excellent. Our server was so sweet and bubbly she made the dinner so enjoyable. We will return again soon!

I reserved the table in my name for my parents. They had a lovely time and said the service and the food was very good. They were visited by the owner/manager. I called the restaurant when they were about half way through their meal and asked to pay for their dinner over the phone. The manager was very accommodating and even texted me a copy of their receipt after the meal. Thanks so much for providing them with an awesome experience!!

I had not been there for a little over 2 years as rest of family doesn't enjoy Italian food as much as I. The menu was new since last visit as was the owner, many staff, and the decor. 2 of our party had the Baked Lobster Rigitoni, one had Chicken Parmesan (his favorite Italian meal) and I had the special of Wild Boar with angel hair pasta served with a apple/citrus/sage sauce. All the meals were wonderful and plentiful. Wine selection was satisfactory. My daughter inquired about one and a sample was brought for her to taste test. A piece of white chocolate/raspberry cheese cake was the finish to my Father's day dinner with my daughter and others. Wonderful meal and we would all order our same dishes again.

We were an interracial pair on a date. They literally sat us in a room by ourselves (party room) and then did not sit anyone in there with us. That didn’t bother me so much because in the main dining area there was a one man band that was a little loud (but he was decent). The waitress was the best thing about the place and delivered excellent service, but the food was so so. I ordered short rib pasta that tasted more like osso bucco.
