We offer full sushi bar, kitchen and bar.
Food is outstanding. Great and unique menu and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely go agin and again.
Service was slow. Meals were delivered at all different times so food got cold as we waited. When we brought it up later we were told that food is prepared at different stations so this always happens - why weren’t we told this in advance? We were also disappointed in the small portion sizes for the $ $26 for a 3 oz serving of black cod? $25 for a ribs app? Overall a disappointing experience, tho the drinks were tasty and the ambiance nice.
Izakaya is one of my favorite restaurants in the Valley. The food is very tasty, service is good, although Sushi can be slow, so come with plenty of time. The bar is great too!
It was delicious. Our waiter was very good, solicitous, and fun. Everything worked really well.
This was my first visit. We ordered the Black Cod, the Wagu Beef, Ramen and a noodle dish. All of these dishes were lacking in flavor. The crust on the Black Cod was non-existant...the skin was just a gelatin...whereas the fish was delicious I was really put off by the texture of the skin. One of our party ordered the Wagu Beef and was disappointed in the flavor from the last time she had ordered it. Having said all that, the rolls, yellowtail sashimi serano and the nagiri that we ordered was SUPREME. I would suggest a little work on the entrees. Having lived in Aspen (Kenichi, Matsuhishu and Taka Sushi) I am delighted to have IzaKaya in Carbondale!! I wish you all the best! I will be back!! Thank you! P.S. - Jeremy ROCKS.
The food is super fresh and incredibly tasty. Everything we and our guest ate was superb. The staff is right there when you need them, no waiting when you need something, and they are all very nice. The interior is understated, stylish and welcoming. It is my new favorite place to eat in Carbondale.
Wonderful service and food. Can’t wait to go back!
Not sure what all the hype is about...the space is cool, cavernous and drafty...the service was frenzied...the food was phenomenal...the cost was inflated...the saki was like watered down grainy milk and not palatable. We received the wrong app but didn’t say anything and ate it anyway it was outstanding...typical Carbondale scene hyper hype overpriced and not prepared...no warm/hot water in women’s restroom and dish soap in dispenser. Won’t be returning for a second try.
Great food and amazing atmosphere. Love the servers and prompt service.
Awesome sushi in the Rocky Mountain? YES!! Always amazed that we are in Western Colorado eating amazing fish. Go. You won't be disappointed.
Izakaya has a wonderful ambience and four of us chose to go their to celebrate our winter birthdays. The waitress was super nice and helpful and warned us that the food will come out as it is prepared, which was fine with us. And it did, the soup, the small plates and finally our main meals EXCEPT for one main course which was order by a lady that did not order any thing else, so she was very hungry. The rest of us were basically finished with our meals when hers finally appeared and the waitress did keep checking in with her that it would be ready soon. I think it would have been prudent for the waitress of bring little snack such as edamame to tide her over until her meal came. Now, one other time we had out young granddaughter and asked for her food to come out ASAP and it did.
Food was good. It’s consistent and usually tasty.
It was a slow night which was very nice.
This will be a place we come to over and over. Great ambiance. Love the sushi and sashimi as well as all the cooked offerings. Save room for the peanut butter cup dessert.
I ave been 6-7 times and the food is great the interior and ambience are great and the service is usually great but this time the service was awful and the food seemed a bit “off”. Our waiter was not appropriately attentive. I had to flag others to get service.
I tipped 20% but reluctantly .
the food and the service were fantastic.
Welcome to Carbondale!!!
The unraveling roll was my first indicator that the food may be decent, but not authentic. The hamachi collar is very very good. But if you’re looking for service, great service, these guys are top notch. Your can feel the genuine care and love for the customer. The service is above 5 stars 🌟 ⭐️ So room for improvement and I didn’t feel like I wasted my time.
Great menu. Loved our waiter!
The hamachi sashimi special was pristine. So fresh!
Well done! Love each visit and each new entree. We will be back!
I look forward to celebrating this restaurant’s 10th year in business (in 10 years) — it’s that good and should become a mainstay of Carbondale.
The food was spectacular, so was the service. I celebrated my birthday and they went above and beyond with everything. I will FOR SURE be going back.
Outstanding. Made our Anniversary so special. Greeted u as w Happy Anniversary.
Zack our server wa sc superb as was the meal.
They thanked us after for selecting them for our special day. Top drawer.
Excellent service with delicious food! Great addition to Carbondale.
We love Izakaya Carbondale and are so grateful for GREAT sushi in the Valley. Our server was attentive, funny and engaging. The food is on point every time. Great atmosphere for groups or dates and the outdoor patio is lovely. We'll be back frequently!
Great addition to the Carbondale restaurant scene! Fun handcrafted cocktails, excellent appetizers to share and delicious sushi. My husband would not recommend the Curried Lentil/vegetable main, other than that, our entire party enjoyed everything we ordered. A bit higher priced than other local restaurants. Service was very good.
It's still a little hot & cold - some dishes really great, some service gaps, like not offering spoons with ramen, forks to the chopstick-challenged, etc. Odd to see Caucasian sushi countermen. Could have more sushi roll selections.
Food is not great and way overpriced.
We'll never go again.
Don't let the exterior fool you, this is a sophisticated eatery! While the interior decor draws you in, the menu does not disappoint. The moussaka dengaku was my fav with a hint of cinnamon teasing my taste buds just enough. Our table also loved the fritter buns but, honestly, everything was delish!
Ramen was bland, but the rest of the food was great. Awesome ambiance and good drink selection.
