   Food was decent, but way overpriced for what it was. We thought the restaurant was cute when we walked by so we looked it up and we’re excited based on reviews. It was only ok. I don’t mind paying $250 for dinner if it’s amazing. It was underwhelming. Service was wonderful and ambiance was nice.

   Sina was our waiter and we have to say- we’ve never had better service at any restaurant! He made our special night even more magical by treating us as if we were honored guests in his own home! Ray was also terrific in helping a find a quieter table and Jose was also a sweetheart. Can’t wait to go back! One of most lovely dining experiences we’ve ever had.

   The lettuce in my salad was soggy and so is the crab. One of the other guess also had a soggy salad. And the chicken that she ordered was dry. And this was my 91-year-old mother and we were there for her birthday. So disappointing.

   Great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent, friendly service. We were in Santa Monica on holiday and it was one of, if not, the best meal during our time there. Thoroughly enjoyed every course and we didn’t feel rushed even though the restaurant was super busy. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality meal in a colourful, welcoming setting.

    So sad. We spoke with the manager and they actually cancelled our reservation on Open Table so we couldn't leave a review. We had to contact Open Table Customer Service to help us so we can tell you of our experience. Very shady by Ivy At The Shore. Had a horrible lunch experience and I usually really enjoy this place. Our table was very tiny and we were ordering a number of dishes to share and asked for a larger table before we ordered. They refused. We started with our pot of tea, glass of water and an appetizer. We had 2 bites and they brought us 2 more plates of food with nowhere to put the food. We asked again for a larger table or for a side table. They said no, we will bring the food when you're finished with the appetizer. They brought the 2 plates of food back 20 minutes later. The ravioli had a brown butter sauce which was now cold and coagulated - inedible. The crab cakes were barely warm and that's one of their signature dishes. We tried to get he servers attention but ignored. We ate the crab cakes and didn't eat the pasta after trying. After 15 minutes the server finally responded to us. We told him we couldn't eat the pasta because it was cold and coagulated sauce we would like to order something else. We got a menu and 20 minutes later server came back to us and asked what we wanted. We asked for the manager. The manager asked us why we didn't request a larger table or tell the server about the inadequate food. We explained the situation and that we had done so but always refused or ignored. Their solution was to remove the pasta portion of the bill. They ruined what was to be a celebratory luncheon. I understand shortage of staffing but their handling of their horrible service and food is unacceptable for a high end restaurant like this.

    This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service and creative dishes served expertly. Oh and the roses give it a garden ambience at the sea. Don’t miss it! In the midst of the pier noise is this escape to somewhere hidden and lovely in every way.

    Food is ok nothing special, the ambiance looked rundown needs some TLC. Service was not that good. We had to wait ar least 20 minutes for the waiter to come and take our orders. It used to be so much better in terms of quality, service and ambiance.

    We went for Mother's Day. I know I can always count on the experience to be a good one. The food never disappoints, the service is very good and the atmosphere is bright and happy and fun. It is my go to restaurant for special occasions.

    Food is excellent, Service is fast and experienced, ambience is beautiful, specially outside where the noise level is much lower also. We went there yesterday for Mother’s Day and although it was a Zoo , the staff managed to sat us right away without being hectic. Great experience overall (the only thing the coffee sucks lol )

    The 6 of us ate in the back patio, and for a while we were the only ones there. Even when another party arrived it was still quiet and pleasant. Several people raved about the corn chowder. I had the watercress, endive, and pear salad, which was outstanding. The risotto with mushrooms was excellent, and my wife loved her scampi. All together it was a wonderful evening.

    Ivy at the Shore is one of my favorite restaurants. I brought my brother here this time + we had the (Special) Mushroom Tagliatelle + Salmon, the most perfect sauce which was not too heavy or too light. The Caesar salad is a must - zesty, creamy, crunchy. I also recommend the Ivy fish and chips, corn chowder, and the coconut cake. Get the Paloma if you like fresh grapefruit!

    My guest loved the resturant. The service was great and the parking attendant was excellent. My guest is disabled and the attendant was very helpful. However, my lunch was less than average, but my guest really liked her lunch. Who knows? Maybe my expectations are too high? Very pricy. Thanks for asking.

    We enjoy a lovely dinner. Food was delicious as well as the wine. We decided to go on the lighter side because it was pretty late in the evening when we arrived. So we shared a regular size pizza with a salad and that was plenty. We will definitely go back when returning to Santa Monica. This was my first time eating here at dinner. Last time it was for lunch which was a totally different vibe.

    Ivy’s is great. I try to make it a point to visit when I’m in Santa Monica. Always great food and ambience (except the table bread which is not the best - whole wheat which I’m not a fan of )- but that’s really it. The food is wonderful. The service is the very best I’ve experienced in southern ca (I lived in NYC for years). The staff are always so friendly. You never feel rushed at all. It’s on the water. I always feel like the staff actually care that I have a great dining experience. Every single time. For years. Thank you ivys!
