   There must be something broken with the Open Table to Ivy and Varley connection because I specifically made a reservation for outside on Open Table, only for the hostess to rudely say she doesn't have it and outside was "fully booked". The email confirmations don't mention where you request the reservation so I feel like that information doesn't get sent. The food was really good but we were there for a bachelorette party and I felt the inside didn't match the mood of the night like the outside would've. Pretty disappointed in that and won't be returning for anything special since it doesn't seem like you can count on them. Maybe try calling the restaurant directly, either way, I am kind of over it.

   If you can, sit outside! It's perfect out there! We ordered the everything brussel sprouts and the fried goat cheese to start. Both were great. I got the Verde breakfast sandwich which was awesome but the potatoes were a major let down compared to all the other food. As for the drinks, well, our server must be new cause she never checked back on us. She was nice but didn't seem to know what was fully going on.

   Came in for brunch with friends, the staff although friendly failed to submit our order so we sat there for about an hour before he came over and informed us what had happened. We finally received our order and the food was very bland and lukewarm. I have been in for dinner and really enjoyed it, it’s too bad this time was a total failure.

   The food and experience was great. The only downside was the group that was celebrating a few birthdays was exceptionally noisy, but other than that we had a great time.

   Disappointed with the server not checking in regularly, the special was bland, the strawberry salad had one with too much balsamic dressing, the other overwhelming cheese. Brussel sprouts were incredible, the soup was too. Just wish the main dishes were the same.

   We ordered the brussel sprouts for an appetizer and they were fantastic. I don't know what sauces they added, but "mind-blowing". I then had the Chicken Caprese sandwich and again it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. The waitress recommended the Banana ____ Old Fashioned and it did not disappoint. Still alcohol forward as an old fashioned should be, but with a really fun banana aroma.

    The food was delicious. I had the Thyme cocktail & the Wagyu burger with fries. The burger was nice, and the fries were some of the best I have ever had (literally!) and the Lavender Lemon bar for my birthday dessert. We were seated inside (raining that day) next to a window. Lots of plants indoors as well for a lovely ambiance.

    Food was delicious, particularly the beet hummus! Service was ok - our server rarely came to the table unless we flagged her down, and didn’t offer the specials until asked. But food and drinks were delivered quickly. Restaurant was very loud, but a fun atmosphere.

    food was amazing and the environment was so nice. it was wonderful not to hear children screaming and whining. our server, katie, was so observant and diligent. she overheard me telling my friend happy birthday and she came and brought us a dessert without even asking. she kept our water filled and she checked on us often and was so friendly and sweet! she was the best part of the entire dinner honestly!

    Great service. Great good at a good value. Large portions. One complaint: The music was so loud we had a hard time carrying on a conversation with our group. If we get seated outside we would definitely come back. If I had to sit inside and they had the music as loud I would think twice about it.

    My wife and I normally have dinner at Ivy & Varley before the play at the Eccles Theatre. Normally we enjoy our dinner very much. Sadly, last night we were disappointed. We had allowed 2 hrs for dinner before the play and told our server that we were not in a hurry. My wife and I shared a salad and ordered one entree to share. Our entree was brought to our table before we had finished our salad, making our dining experience feel quite rushed. The other problem we experienced is that our first and second choices from the wine list were not available. We finally were able to find a bottle of wine available with our third choice. Finally, we felt that the price of our meal was out of line. We had one salad, one entree, a $55 bottle of wine and our total charge was almost $150. Sadly, we will consider other dining options before our next play.

    We had a 10:45 Sunday brunch reservation. Service was slow - our waitress did her best but was understaffed. Drinks were slow coming out. Brussel sprout appetizer was the highlight of the meal. My husband didn’t finish his Benedict because the meat tasted funky, my friend’s scrambled eggs were cold, and the potatoes in my fingerling were cold and undercooked. Cool looking space that seems to priority aesthetics over quality.

    This was a team lunch with half of our team from Canada. The service was really slow and the restaurant was out of a lot of things. I was disappointed as I love ivy but this was a huge let down and the service was just not great. Didn’t feel like the server wanted to be there

    We had the Rabbit frittata it was ok. They didn't have much of a gluten menu so went with the American for breakfast without the toast, the eggs I ordered scrambled and came out in what appeared to be powdered eggs in a big chunk it was gross.

    Welp we found our new favorite restaurant. The chow here is divine and the portions are generous. Service has always been top notch and friendly. I cannot leave this review without lauding the brussel sprout appetizer. You simply must have it darling.

    Sadly, this was not my favorite experience. The service was great and the workers were all wonderful! However, all of the drinks and food were outrageously priced, yet quite bland and flavorless. I had a group of 7 and every one agreed the food and drinks were very disappointing for how much we paid. Other than that, the workers were great and the environment was fun.

    This is my second time to this restaurant and it has been absolutely wonderful on both visits! Highly recommend the gem salad and gnocchi. However, I don't think you will be disappointed with anything on the menu. Our whole table really enjoyed everything, the service was great, and the ambience is upscale/ casual.     I went here with two friends for dinner and we decided to share a few appetizers, salad, entree and soup. Each one was absolutely delicious. The Brussels sprouts were some of the best I’ve had, the sweet potato soup and Mac n cheese were unique and so good. We also loved the kimchi and rice bowl. Highly recommend the food here!     Came in for lunch. I believe they were short staffed, so our food was very slow. Our server was great, but we noticed she was busing her own tables, which explains slow service. Brussels were delicious, but way over dressed, as was the salad. Veggie burger, so so. Good cocktails, but small. That’s Utah though. Also, they did not have a single one of the wines by the glass that we wanted on the menu, or two off the bottles.
