Waitress was amazing, food portions smaller than advertised. The cocktail was more juice than alcohol.
Waitress mistakenly charged my credit card for someone’s bill, I have to call her attention after coming back with my card and receipt.
She had to cancel it and start again. In the meantime my card was charged twice.
On our night the room was very smokey making a hazy atmosphere. The food was good and the sundae/milkshakes are unique. Had live music which was tolerable.
Worst experience I’ve ever had. They couldn’t find my reservation. My server had me sitting there for 20 min with nothing to drink. By the time I got my drink I was finished with the first margarita before my friends even got there’s. We had to ask for things over and over. Finally walked up to somebody asked for a manager. Nobody ever tried to help our server , offer discount our checks , get us more drinks or anything. They also never told us that it was a automatic gratuity on EVERY ITEM WE ORDER to AFTER she swiped my card and brought me back a different check with a higher total. Server started crying and no manager even tried to help her. Tried to call back the next day and talk to manager she said she would email me because she didn’t know what I wanted her to do.
Hi there, our floor manager did attempt to resolve the issues, however, since the entire table was yelling at the server, which lead to her crying, we didn't want to escalate things further. I (the General Manager) then assisted the server with getting you checked out as it was a large party, with multiple items split, and one of your guests had walked out on there tab. You had mentioned you were in the service industry and threatened to leave a bad review unless fully reimbursed.
Delicious food, friendly service and cool ambiance.
We had a Skyscraper shake. It was amazing. Server was incredible too!
Had a great time, the food and service was amazing at Forty Deuce Cafe.
Visiting from out of town. Had dinner here. Milkshakes looked amazing. Piano player was playing and it was loud.
We made a reservation and we're sat promptly. Our server was very friendly. We got a shake for the table and the look on my kids' faces when it came to the table was priceless. The downside is the shake was warm. We had the chicken and waffles and caesar salad. The salad was whole leaves of roman lettuce. The downside was, they only gave us forks. We didn't see our server again for over 10min so I ended up tearing the lettuce by hand. The salad is wildly overpriced for 5 leaves of lettuce that you have to figure out how to cut yourself. Another person got the chicken and waffles. It was very good however, hard to eat without a knife. The kids got cheeseburgers. One had it with fries and the other with tots. Both came out with fries which our server noticed and said they would be out tots. After we finally saw our server again after 10 min, we had to ask about the tots. All in all, we may go back again just to see the kids look on their face when the milkshake comes to the table.
Our waitress was great! Loved the piano player. Food was good. Will go back!
Amazing burgers and the most instagramable and delicious shakes anywhere. Kids love going here and I love it too.
The waitress was the best!
The chicken club was amazing. A very engaged waitress
Poor service, closing restaurant when I was still dining
It was ok. Nothing bad but nothing spectacular either. Bar was disappointing because it was not well stocked. Food was good. Service was just ok. Don’t feel like I would need to be back.
Sat promptly. Food was delicious
The overall experience was awesome and I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends!
Waitress had animal hair all over her and her mask. The food was overpowering in bad way. The blue cheese took over the burger. However, the shakes are super cute and worth going for.
Waited a long time with 2 hungry kiddos. I wanted to order a to go item. They didn’t have the first sandwich. I ordered a second sandwich, they came back 15 min later to say lunch isn’t being served anymore. 🤦🏽♀️. Shakes/ desserts are amazing. Maybe dinner is better? Not impress.
Fun with the kid!
First time there with friends and felt the ambiance was too be desired, food was greasy and overpriced. Just not enough to choose from on the menu.
The milkshakes were the best. The food on the other hand never got to our table and the waitress was rude! Never apologized for the long wait or nothing. Just caught an attitude but continued to check on her other tables but refused to check on us. I told her I didn’t want the food anymore. Our reservation was at 4pm by 5pm still no food. The manager was the nicest one. Gave us our whole meal for free. I really appreciated her especially because this occasion was for my birthday but overall the experience sucked and I’ll probably never go back unless I want a huge milkshake.
We just topped in for a milkshake. All was great except it seemed to take awhile from when we ordered to when our shake arrived. I believe it was due to the place being busy and it seemed as if only one person was making them. Our server was awesome recommending the peanut butter whiskey to compliment our shake. I feel the shakes are a bit overpriced and average.
Everything was amazing!!! I have no complaints.
Loud. But great food and shakes
Made reservations at 530 and we didn't receive a water until 615. It was very slow. People were receiving their food after my party and they came after. Good food my for first time I was very excited but ended up very disappointed.
I REALLY wanted to love this place but it was not to be. I knew going in that the menu is limited to a few burgers and sandwiches. When I see that I expect those burgers and sandwiches to be something special. These were not. The burgers were pretty ordinary and undercooked (ordered medium well but they were still red in the middle). It was a busy Saturday night so I want to give them some slack, but again, I can’t. They took our drink orders quickly, but then it became a waiting game. 25 minutes later I had to seek out the waitress and ask where my $14 cocktail was. (BTW, it was pretty weak - not worth the price). The waitress told me she’d give me a discount because we had to wait - but she didn’t. The guy at the piano was OK, but he wasn’t like a guy playing dinner music at a piano. He was more like a guy banging out pop songs and singing very loudly into a much too loud mic. It was hard to carry on a conversation. We had a party of 6 eating burgers and fries with 2 cocktails and a couple of soft drinks. $130. Sorry Ivan. We won’t be darkening your door again.
Hi Don, I see this is a repost review from you visit with us in March. We have made a lot of changes since then including expanding our menu. I hope we get another shot at your business. With gratitude, Kate Mesa General Manager
Food was great as always!
The food and atmosphere are fantastic ... reminded us of speakeasy’s we’ve been to with dueling pianos. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!!!
Loved the music. Felt like pre Covid days. We got burgers that were good. Husband had onion rings and I had tots both were delicious. Shake was large we split it but good.
Celebrating a friends birthday and then made a to go order and the floor manager told us that there’s people waiting and they needed our table. Then another server came and took our bottle of water. Very inappropriate for a restaurant, will never be back!!
We only ordered 2 shakes and waited way too long, like over an hour. We were patient and understanding and in the end the made it right for us. The were delicious and the manager was working her butt off to pump shakes out as fast as she could.
This is a great place to go on a date or take the kids for an extremely over the top shake. Well worth it!
Can’t wait to go back. The piano player is so talented, I wished he could’ve played longer.
I got the Broadway w/ tots and yummmmmm and then we split the Buckeye milk shake which was also amazing. I got the champagne cocktail at the recommendation of our server and it did not disappoint.
Food was fantastic. Server rarely checked in and had no personality
The food was very greasy. The best part of the experience was the music and the milkshakes. I wouldn’t eat there again, but we are going to try the Burlesque show and I would definitely get the milkshakes again.
I haven't been upstairs to the show yet but I have dined there twice. Burgers are excellent, salads are a little pricey and $15 milkshakes are not worth it. It's fun but a little noisy for me.
Food was amazing and loved their shakes
I recently had a reserved dinner in one of the igloos with my family of 4. Our reservation originally was for 6. Thankfully we had two cancelations because it would've been a tight squeeze in the igloo, as there is only one smaller sized table. It was a little on the colder side inside the igloo and there are two small heaters that didn't quite keep it fully warm.
One of our members ordered a milkshake with the food, but the milkshake didn't end up coming out until after we requested the tab.
We went after 6 on a Sunday and experienced some noise. If you go through the week, while the mall stores are open, and are seated in the igloo, expect more noise.
Food was good, smaller side portions though. I'd say you pay moreso for the milkshakes and their presentation, along with the igloo experience itself.
I would certainly go back and try the in-door experience and see what the burlesque shows are like.
Took my daughter for Valentine’s Day. We had a pretty good experience. Food was great, shakes were great,
This is a great option for private dining especially in the middle of a pandemic and cold weather. It was decorated super cozy and had a few space heaters inside to help warm the space. $50 each for a meal, drink and the private space was a great value. The food was all amazing.
Server was friendly and checked on us often. Of course it was a little chilly with freezing temperatures outside and needing to open the "door" to get in and out. The igloo was pretty spacious so fitting a larger group than 4 was an option. We would definitely do this again.
