The food was very greasy. The best part of the experience was the music and the milkshakes. I wouldn’t eat there again, but we are going to try the Burlesque show and I would definitely get the milkshakes again.
I haven't been upstairs to the show yet but I have dined there twice. Burgers are excellent, salads are a little pricey and $15 milkshakes are not worth it. It's fun but a little noisy for me.
Food was amazing and loved their shakes
I recently had a reserved dinner in one of the igloos with my family of 4. Our reservation originally was for 6. Thankfully we had two cancelations because it would've been a tight squeeze in the igloo, as there is only one smaller sized table. It was a little on the colder side inside the igloo and there are two small heaters that didn't quite keep it fully warm.
One of our members ordered a milkshake with the food, but the milkshake didn't end up coming out until after we requested the tab.
We went after 6 on a Sunday and experienced some noise. If you go through the week, while the mall stores are open, and are seated in the igloo, expect more noise.
Food was good, smaller side portions though. I'd say you pay moreso for the milkshakes and their presentation, along with the igloo experience itself.
I would certainly go back and try the in-door experience and see what the burlesque shows are like.
Took my daughter for Valentine’s Day. We had a pretty good experience. Food was great, shakes were great,
This is a great option for private dining especially in the middle of a pandemic and cold weather. It was decorated super cozy and had a few space heaters inside to help warm the space. $50 each for a meal, drink and the private space was a great value. The food was all amazing.
Server was friendly and checked on us often. Of course it was a little chilly with freezing temperatures outside and needing to open the "door" to get in and out. The igloo was pretty spacious so fitting a larger group than 4 was an option. We would definitely do this again.
When I tell you this place has a vibe all its own. The service was immaculate, they were very attentive and helpful since I’ve never eaten here before. The food was amazing, not overpriced, and very filling as well.
Fun little place. One of 4 tables occupied, so it want crowded. Shakes were cool! Food okay at best.
Love the set up of the cafe, very pleasant server. Will be back
The food and drinks were yummy and beautiful. We sat in an igloo and it exceeded my expectations. It was cozy and chic. We had a great time!
I enjoyed my son’s birthday there the food and the ambience was very good! I would definitely go again!
Loved the igloo! What a unique and fun way to have a date night! Can't wait to do again!
My first time at Forty Deuce and it was a very pleasant experience. Our server was so sweet and nice which started out the dinner on a great note. The food and drinks came out quickly, and the food was delicious. The best part of the meal was the extravagant milkshakes. I’d definitely go back to go to the speakeasy because it seems like a fun experience!
This restaurant had the best burger I have ever tasted! The tator tots and onion rings were perfect and the milkshake was the icing on top of it all. Make sure you are hungry when visiting this restaurant. I will be going back for the secret room experience.
We went for Burgers and Milkshakes. Service and food was excellent! They even went above and beyond for my 2 kids. Overall a great experience
Casual but nice/clean and unique atmosphere, great food and service.
We had a nice experience, however the prices were a little high for what you get.
We took my son for his 6th birthday. After a few minutes we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff asked if Enzo had any songs he liked and pretty much let us take over the sound system which really made his birthday special. My burger was good and the Bodega milkshake was definitely a hit! I would definitely recommend for a special occasion for some delicious dessert.
Great food. Solid service. We will be back!
We were so excited to finally get to enjoy this restaurant but was extremely disappointed. The food was cold, had to remind our server about the 42 sauce, had to ask her multiple times for drink refills and not once was our used plates cleared from the table. My daughter is a server for a very busy restaurant and I allow lots of grace to the employees but this was frustrating.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Didn’t have a server the entire time. Made a reservation and was left standing at the front for 10 minutes. Had to get someone to bring our checks then they took our cards in the back and we had to remind them to bring them back. Food and drinks ok but nothing special and not worth the price.
Customer service is 100% spot on. Everyone from hostess, waiter and owner were exceptionally kind and genuine. A perfect reprieve and pleasant night out during Covid.
The whole meal was meh. The service was fine, the food was good (although a bit over cooked) and the ambiance was nice. That said, it was very expensive for what you receive. Frankly, it is really just a burger and fries joint. Nothing out of the ordinary nor memorable. Even the beer was expensive.
Great food and great staff! Comfortable layout, all around awesome place.
Great food and drinks and Leah was a fun server!
The place isn’t bad. Pretty expensive for burgers. Not much of a selection on the menu at all. Wait staff was really nice. Probably wouldn’t go back though.
Food was great as always! Great burgers, and of course the crazy over the top milkshakes
Great overall experience! Will go back again
It's a great place a little pricey.
I was very excited to try Forty Deuce Cafe, however I was a little disappointed with the overall experience. While the waitress was nice, she didnt seem to have a lot of knowlede of the menu or even the special that they were currently advertising. She had to leave the table several times to ask for the answers to our questions. Eventually we ordered two of the burgers being advertised as the “special” for $6.00. Little did we know, the special did not include fries and there was an up charge for cheese and pickles, which were forgotten when we got our food. The cook did come to apologize for the mistake, which was appreciated. Once fixed, everything was good, but definitely not worth the 68 dollars we paid for burgers, fries and milkshakes. With the being said the astmosphere was good and very relaxed. Perfect for a casual date. I would recommend everyone go once but most likely wont dine here again.
Hi Ashley, Thank you so much for your feedback and thank you for bringing this to my attention. The server you mentioned is newer to our Forty Deuce family and we have coached her on the issues you've addressed. I'm happy to hear the team corrected any kitchen mistakes. Thank you for complimenting our atmosphere! It is a great support to smaller restaurants to share a recommendation and for that we are truly grateful. Hope to see you again! Cheers, Kate Mesa General Manager
First of all, the staff is FANTASTIC. I was greeted as I walked in the door, when I gave my name I asked for a booth if possible. She said she would clean it right away for my guest and me. In that time, 4 other people, INCLUDING MR. KANE HIMSELF, checked to make sure I had been helped. Just absolutely stellar customer service. Now, for the best part of this meal: the fried chicken. My guest got a salad with fried chicken and i had the fried chicken sandwich. Oh. My. Wow. THE BEST fried chicken I had ever had in my life. Get it. You will not be disappointed. I will be back much more often than I ever thought. Keep up the great work Forty Deuce!!
Great time and experience. Service was great. Thanks Ivan!
We waited 15 minutes at the table and nobody even came over to check on us
Hi there, We we're extremely embarrassed to hear of your wait time and it definitely fell on management. We offered to comp your meal next time if you chose to give us another shot. These are not our standards of service and we hope you give us a chance to give you a great night out. Cheers!
Great food and service. Milkshakes are overpriced and it was more of a chocolate milk than a ice cream based shake.
Hi there! Thank you for the four stars! We're sorry to hear you milkshake wasn't five stars. I will forward your feedback to our team so it can be addressed and fixed. Cheers!
The menu doesn't have much variety. I subbed a burger for grilled chicken and it was very small. Shakes were only ok, chose the Buckeye and as I read in another review the chocolate and nuts were frozen to the glass so unable to eat that part. Overall the food wasn't great and I probably won't be going back, unless it's to try the burlesque show for a girls night out.
The very sad thing was our server was training someone. Our table didn’t seem to be a priority. Food was very mediocre they even ran out of onion rings and brought my friend a half order that never should’ve been served.
Hi Tara, Would it be possible to ask you to email more information to kate@fortydeucecom We are working very hard to ensure we give great service and great food and I would like to know how else we could of improved your dining experience. Thank you in advance for your time and please stay safe a well! Kate Mesa General Manager
The burgers, fries, and onion rings were fabulous. The shakes were Instagram worthy, but not as good as they look.
Food was good. Service was the worst in my last 20 years...by a mile. Server so dismissive and rude I thought I was at one of those restaurants where you pay them to be mean. $100+ meal for 4 with a side of nasty.
Hello, This is horrifying to hear. If you could please contact me so I may address this with this team member. This is beyond unacceptable behavior and will not be discussed lightly. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. Kate Mesa 614.681.4242 kate@fortydeucecom
The food was incredible!
It’s was our first visit and our server David was informative but slow to service us due to outside patrons. I think we were forgotten about.
When I placed my order I specifically asked for the 42 sauce on the side not knowing if I’d like it and sure enough it was ON THE BURGER!!!! Attention to small details was ignored!
But overall the food was good, the establishment upbeat and location Outstanding
