ITV Wine Bar
We sat at the bar, bartender wasn't very attentive. We were enjoying the wine but had to ask for a refill each time. The presentation of the menu was very unexciting. Although the wine and small plates were good, the service wasn't pleasant and colored the experience.
Great cocktails, delicious (mostly) small plates, snacks. Made dinner for two out it.
We went when then transformed the place to the holiday bar called Miracle. The special small plates were delicious and the cocktails were festive. Not cheap but it’s all worth it. Split 4 small plates and two cocktails each, throw a cheese plate in there, and you’re looking at around 100 bucks. I’d do it all over again though - the whole space transforms and it really gets you in the holiday spirit.
We had a lovely meal and the waitress was so sweet and helpful. She suggested two options for cocktails for me, I tried both and loved them! We ordered the scallops, which I was saying I always want to order from restaurants but am often disappointed... This time I was happy to note that they were delicious! We also had pate, which was okay by itself and really nice with the jam! The cheese board with bread and apple and fruit butter was delicious as well.
Thanks for letting us sit and chat after we finished eating!
I wish Nick Elmi's restaurants were more vegetarian friendly; otherwise I loved it!
Excellent wine selection. The small plates give new meaning to the concept of “bar food.” Best short ribs I’ve ever had.
This is not our first time but definitely our best experience! Our server did a great job from start to finish, from helping my wife select a cocktail through coffee and dessert. Not being particularly big eaters, we thoroughly enjoyed sharing the duck fat biscuit, smoked trout, grilled asparagus and gnocchi. And, the Australian Pinot Noir was delightful! Also really enjoyed the blueberry upside down cake. So enjoyed our visit!
The food is amazing! Cozy environment. Great cocktails. Would take a friend here, a date here, celebrate a birthday with a small group.
Excellent meal......King George begat Prince Nicholas...
Superb elegantly creative food from Chef Nicholas Elmi.
Presentation artistically beautifull.
Excellent Professional service.
Cannot wait to go back for another meal.
One of the BEST in Philadelphia.
Everything was amazing except for the rabbit schnitzel —too much and not great.
The place was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing. The seating area is very cramped - thankfully we got there early and no one was seated next to us. By the time we left, the table next to us was occupied and it was hard to get out of our seats. Otherwise, amazing experience. The service was excellent, staff was very knowledgeable.
The wait staff did a great job accommodating our eclectic needs.
Have been here many times, never disappointed . The food is better then fantastic.
The (Valentine's Day) menu consisted of 5 courses that each were original and had a great blend of tastes. With it were the five cocktails that went together well, also had interesting blends and on top of it were each in double choice, so more variation and sampling. Volume of food and quantity of alcohol were great, but again: good in balance
Nick Elmi knocks it out of the park with this concept. The food is as good as ever, with a completely different space/feel.
I was a bit disappointed in ITV. If I didn't know Nick Elmi was involved I probably would have rated it lower. The best thing we had was the squash and we ordered almost everything on the menu. The fish and meat were both overcooked and the gnocchi was extremely salty. It is a wine bar and the wines are good but the cheapest I believe was $14 a glass and they are a pretty skimpy pour. The cocktail list was extensive and interesting so I wish in hindsight I had tried some cocktails. The dessert was supposed to be a warm chocolate cake and the plate came out much warmer than the cake. I want to like this place because I know Chef Nick is amazing but I was unfortunately underwhelmed. We spent as much money as we would have at Laurel, which is much better (if you can get in).
This place was awesome. They have a small menu, but everything we ordered was a home run.
The beef fat biscuit was a must. Nice and crisp on the outside, and with a hint of the savory beef flavor without it being overwhelming.
We also got the smoked trout rilette, which was both tasty and beautifully presented. great balance between sweet, savory, and citrus.
Fried Cauliflower - the best I'd ever had. They achieved a perfect amount of crunch on the outside, and the yogurt sauce it came with provided a great balance.
Pork Cheeks - also great. nice and crisp on the outside. Not a huge portion, but it's perfectly sized given how rich it is.
Foie Gras - perfectly executed.
Cocktails were also unique and delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Good bar scene at ITV. Dining space is tight. The pork cheek and walu dazzled, as did the squash and trout rillette. The wine list is impressive, and music is very good, mainly 70’s and 80’s which is interesting because the crowd was mostly millenials. More of a place to grab a bite and eat than to dine, but the combination of the food and wine make it a worthy place for informal dining.
Only a handful of tables, very close to each other. Most people are at the bar.
We showed up for happy hour and ordered two 5 dollar snacks and both got these delicious Christmas cocktails. I could barely wait for the snacks to down mine. Then we shared 4 small plates between us which is a great amount of food for two people. The whole time the dimly lit and cozy, yet elegant, ambiance was providing a comfortable noise level to sit, eat and talk. I will say our favorite was the pork cheek. Amazing. Fast and friendly service was available as well. It’s expensive, but since we brought a gift card from open table it wasn’t bad at all. Even without, I still would consider it easily worth it. Great experience!
Awesome food. Small plates which is perfect as you get to try lots. The smoked trout was amazing as was the gnocchi. Really fun dinner.
Awesome food, service, and playlist
We were excited to find a casual, less expensive alternative to Laurel, with the same kitchen. The cocktails are good and inventive. I would prefer a less sweet option.
The happy hour snacks are superb because it's possible to taste several items. Gnocchi is amazingly light. All the seafood items are fresh and delicious.
We could have used one more veggie/salad
centered dish because the cauliflower was more like a tater-tot.
Went a year ago and food/wine were wonderful. This time food was just ok (expect better from Nick Elmi). Foie gras was soggy, onion dip for pork chips underspiced, not enough fish in the Arctic char crudo, pork cheeks lacked flavor. Wines eclectic but expensive by the glass and overpriced. My wife very much liked the biscuit with chive butter. My 4 across 7 down cocktail was quite good. Great service!
Meh. A hodge-podge of eclectic European small plates. Wine selection was ok. Vintages were too young.
Visited ITV with friends for dinner and we were enthralled. The wine selection was terrific- try the Sauvignon Blanc. We ordered the squash salad, gnocchi, liver mousse stuffed stroopwaffle, sea bream and beef fat biscuit. We were able to carry on conversation, were wowed by the food, service and atmosphere and so happy that we found this gem
Inventive cooking, friendly service, wonderful cocktails, and a well-crafted wine list added up to one of the best meals we have had in quite a while. Every dish was superb. We look forward to returning soon.
The biscuit is to die for !!! Absolutely delicious. Also very nice wine list and unique cocktail menu.
Everything was outstanding - cocktails, food, service, atmosphere!
One might argue that a true wine bar should have more than a dozen wines by the glass. Still, ITV's bottle list is solid with both European and domestic options. The food exceeded expectations. Apart from the rabbit schnitzel which was totally forgettable, the sardines, the kampachi crudo, and even the simple heirloom tomato salad were all superb. Service was attentive, if a bit uninformed about the dishes, and the environment inviting. Worst part is the value: the food but especially the wine are seriously overpriced. A wine bar is supposed to cost a bit less than a comparable restaurant. This is not the case w/ ITV.
Thank you for an interesting and tasteful string of dishes. The grilled foie gras and smoked trout were our favorites. We will recommend this place to other DC visitors of Philly!
I love everything about this place, from the expertly crafted cocktails to the suble, fresh and well balanced food prepared with thought and care
While we enjoyed a great meal, the standouts are the cocktail and wine menu. Lovely, helpful service.
Very dark interior (all black) seemed to lend itself for quiet conversations, but the acoustics were pretty loud and didn't quite match up. Best for parties of 2.
Don't forget your quarters as this section of Passyunk doesn't all have parking kiosks yet. Skip the dessert and go to Capogiro after!
It was our first time here and it was for our anniversary. Everything was exceptional.
Food was rather drab, tasteless, and overpriced. The tomatoes in the tomato salad were practically soggy. A cup of plain coffee was $5! I would not recommend going here for the food though the bar has a nice ambience.
Awesome birthday dinner
There was not one bad bite! No misses! Usually you get one dish you aren't totally in love with. Not here. Split 8 dishes among a group of 4. This place exceeded my expectations. Everything was literally so delicious and visually appealing/beautifully plated. I cannot wait to go back.
ITV has to be the most underrated restaurant in the city. Wine list is great. Front of house is completely on point and knowledgeable. Food is impeccable, creative, and ambitious and thoughtful. I try to get down here just about as often as I can. Always a joy.
Food was underwhelming. The hamachi crudo was bland. The gnocchi themselves were good but served literally on a soup of fat: a cream and butter sauce with pieces of bacon that made the plate unbearable.
