Whether entering from our private Second Street entrance or walking through the secret hall from inside B.B. King's Blues Club, Itta Bena is sure to capture your senses.                     The restaurant closed due to a power failure: not their fault. But when we arrived for our reservation, the staff and the door rolled their eyes and shouted "closed!" at us. No apology, no offer to help us find an alternative, nothing. I'll not be going back.

                    I wanted to share feedback about a recent visit that left me very disappointed. During our time at your restaurant, there was a power outage that affected service—particularly in the kitchen. As a result, we were unable to receive the food we had intended to order. While I understand that outages can happen and are beyond anyone’s control, I was surprised and disappointed by how the situation was handled. Rather than offering the drinks we had already received on the house, or even providing a gesture of goodwill like an additional round, the server told us the manager asked for my name, number, and credit card information to charge us for the two drinks. This response, particularly in the context of a disrupted evening and a missed meal, came across as inconsiderate and unaccommodating. A more guest-centered approach would have gone a long way in preserving goodwill and encouraging us to return. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and consider how future service disruptions can be handled with more empathy and hospitality.

                    We treated our out of town visitors to dinner and were pleased with every aspect of our experience. Our waiter was professional, efficient, and welcoming. Everyone enjoyed their entrees -- Short Rib, Chilean Sea Bass, and Lamb Chops. After dinner we enjoyed music downstairs at B.B. King's. Highly recommended. We are never disappointed!
