   The service here is absolutely outstanding. We had made a special request to sit at “the cove” table but it was unavailable when we showed up for our reservation. The manager was nice and offered for us to enjoy some cocktails at the bar while we waited to the table to become available. He made our drinks and even escorted us to the table when it was ready. Our server was so knowledgeable and he did a great job pacing our appetizers and entrees so we could have a relaxed meal. The shrimp and grits were amazing and the rack of lamb was perfectly cooked. This was one of our best dining experiences in Memphis.

   We’ve never been to a “speakeasy” before. Quite a nice surprise venue! The food was excellent; as was the service. If we’re ever back in Memphis, we would definitely return!

   Hidden gem on Beale Street! Escape the crowds for a fine dining experience at Itta Bena. A limited but well-executed menu. Top-notch service. Lovely ambiance. Best option in downtown Memphis for fine dining. Don’t be deterred by the Beale Street party scene, this is a superb dining experience.

    An exceptional dining experience in downtown Memphis. The ambience is quiet and intimate. The food is delicious and the service impeccable.     I have often given high ratings to restaurants, but this was a game changer for me. I wish there was a higher star rating just for this place. This is a must when traveling to Memphis. The food is extraordinary! The ambiance is absolutely delightful. The live music choice was spot-on. More than all that, the staff was simply the BEST! Jessica was outstanding. (We actually hugged when we left!) It was remarkable to what how the team members functioned keeping everything moving along smoothly. Honestly, don't miss this place! When we go back to Memphis, we are going to Itta Bena!

    So nice from the craziness of Beale Street but on Beale street. Service was great. Food was delicious. We got crab avocado appetizer and she crab soup. I hit shrimp and grits and hubby Cajun pasta both awesome.

    What a great little surprise! We’ve been to Beale Street so many times and had no idea this place existed! There were four of us and all the food was perfectly prepared. We had the tomahawk pork chop, the shrimp and grits, the Cajun pasta and the salmon. All of it was delicious! I just loved the smoked cocktails - they were so good!! The dinner music was beautiful and our waiter so attentive. Can’t wait to come back next year!

    This restaurant is above BB Kings on Beale Street- you would never know it. The dining is sophisticated with a blue hue on the windows. The live music was soft piano that was perfect for the ambiance. We had the crab stuffed avocado appetizer which was unique and very flavorful. The lamb chops and red snapper were delicious. The wait staff- Kelsey was wonderful. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made recommendations, was efficient had a delightful fun personality. Highly recommended.

    The entire experience was fabulous! We were celebrating me- birthday, Mother’s Day, and my receiving my doctorate! The server was as excited about it as We were. The food was delicious! The server, Joslyn, was attentive, professional, and very knowledgeable. This was a great experience!

    I had the shrimp and grits, mushroom bisque soup and creme brûlée. All were excellent. Others at my table had the red snapper and the salmon. Both said what they had was delicious. Staff was very attentive and made some excellent recommendations for our dinner.

    Everything about our experience in the restaurant was excellent. The blue windows gave the historic room a beautiful aura. My only reason not to give a perfect score is the lack of an elevator or escalator, which I understand is due to the age of the building. Our waitress, Jocelyn was attentive, helpful and seemed to enjoy serving our table as much as we enjoyed ourselves. The food was truly perfect. We shared the Crab Stuffed Avocado appetizer, and the White Chocolate Bread Pudding, and my husband had the Shrimp and Grits and I ordered the salmon. We each had a drink. The Bread Pudding came with a candle and was gratis for spouse’s birthday this week. What a lovely surprise! We may travel back through Memphis just to enjoy a meal at Itta Bena. Thank you so much for a perfect dining experience.

    The ambience of the restaurant above BB Kings was second to none, there was live music and the windows blocked out the late evening sun. The food choice varied and both entrée’s that we ordered were excellent. A special shout out to Jocelyn our service who made us feel special on our 25th wedding anniversary.
