    It was a beautiful gem of a restaurant. Lovely surroundings and a unique experience. The meal was amazing. From our starters to our main meal. Everything was so flavourful and delicious. We will be telling others about it. We were told about the restaurant by a fellow traveller. So glad she shared now we will do the same. You have got to go

    Our server Mark was tremendously attentive and helpful. One of our guests just mentioned his affinity for certain wines and suddenly it appeared after his not seeing it on the wine list. A great surprise!

    We had a nice time here. We could tell the server was new and wasn’t quite as well-versed as we would have liked. Felt a little rushed - we ate appetizers, salad, and entrees and were out of there in an hour and 15 minutes. I had the short rib my husband had the pork chop. Nice flavor. Our favorite was the Abita bread.

    As always, I had an incredible experience at Itta Bena. From the service (Courtney was our waitress) to the cocktail menu to the food, everything was on point. I went with my favorite (Cajun Pasta) and my group and I shared the crab stuffed shrimp. There was three of us and three pieces of shrimp which was perfect. I drank a virgin mojito and it was delicious. I enjoy the vibe of the restaurant - the dim lights, live music and feeling of being in the 50s. Also, the fact that it is tucked away above Beale Street is insane to me - you can barely see the street and you can't hear what's going on down there. I will definitely be back. This is my go-to place for when I have someone visiting!

    This was our second time to Itta Bena and the first was much better. First off the app., Abita Shrimp was amazing. Very nice bite to the sauce which was enhanced by the Tequlia in the Pink Cadilac (drink). My wifes meal last night, Short Ribs were delicious. My meal, Cajun Pasta left me wishing for the experience I had had on our first visit. The Chicken was a bit dry and the sauce a bit... bland. The worst thing about the whole meal was when the waitress took both our cocktails from the table. Mine had at least two more sips left in it. I didnt say anything because I thought my wife had gestured for 2 more... but that was not the case. Then when I ordered a sweat tea.. well it wasnt sweat.. It just seemed like things were a bit off... We will go there again... in hopes it was just an off night because we really enjoy the ambience... but.. if next time is like last night...The Majestic isnt far away

    Enjoyed dinner before a show at the Orpheum. From the she-crab soup to salmon to the creme brûlée, the experience was wonderful. Our waitress was attentive and the service was perfect.

    The hostess was accommodating when we had one extra guest and arrived early. The place has the best atmosphere, John, our server was awesome. The food was amazing! My girls were visiting us from Chicago and enjoyed it so much!We were able to enjoy BB King’s after dinner. Amazing night together!

    Our experience at Itta Bena was fabulous, they put us in a secluded little room, the hostess called “the date night room” and it was wonderful. We could still hear the music and the going on of the restaurant but it almost felt like we were dining completely alone. The food was excellent! I highly recommend the short ribs! Our waiter was wonderful! We will definitely be back for future date nights.

    The shrimp and grits had a "pickled" taste. Way to tart. Couldn't finish them. Wasted $40 on that choice.

    In town to catch a show at the Orpheum Theatre and found this gem of a restaurant. Quaint and tucked above BB Kings. Amazing food, cocktails, and service!! A must go-to when in Memphis.

    Itta Bena has become our go to place before or after a show at the Orpheum. The atmosphere is great. Its quiet enough to hold a conversation. The live music is excellant and sets the right vibe. The waiters are always personable, attentive, and give perfect service. The food is top notch. I've never had a bad meal here. Itta Bena has never disappointed. I couldn't recommend more highly!

    Shrimp and grits flavor was not good. Shrimp was over cooked and salty or vinegary. The broth over powered everything. Having to order extra bread with crab dip is ridiculous. The portion of dip with 8 pieces ofbread should be standard. Seeing employees chatting with each other is a distraction to the ambience of the restaurant. Rest of food was great and service was okay.

    We had a great experience. Going up the ‘no sign’ fire escape to enter the location gives you a feel of exclusivity. The ambience is quiet, upscale with touches of the Delta/South and music. The food is tasty. When finished, ask the server to take you to the secret entrance to the BB King blues Club below. You will go down a staircase to the floor below. Open the door and you’ll be in the heart of the club. Very cool!
