Great service from Ashley
Our food and service were outstanding!! Our server Jonathan did an excellent job of “herding cats”.....four 65 year olds for a reunion at Ita Bena. Loved it!
A wonderful alternative to busy Beal Street. Service was attentive and there was recorded piano music in the background.
Itta Bena is one of the best high end restaurants downtown Memphis. The food and ambiance was outstanding!!! The staff was very professional and attentive!!! By the way, thanks for the complimentary champagne 🍾 and the cove room!!! I would highly recommend Itta Bena to anyone looking for a pleasurable dining experience in downtown Memphis!
Wonderful hidden gem in the middle of chaotic Beale Street. Definitely make a reservation the day before (or further if big events are taking place). Food was excellent. Service was great. I arrived 45 minutes early and was able to be seated within 20 minutes of arrival. I'll be back!
So much fun and excellent food and atmosphere! A must!
Our experience was amazing. The service was outstanding and made our time there that much more enjoyable. Will definitely be back in the future.
We made reservations for our anniversary. The staff quickly greeted us and took us to our table, which was is a semi private area and very romantic. All the staff we came in contact with congratulated us and was extremely nice and attentive. They even brought out a dessert with champagne after dinner. Excellent service and food!
Pre theater extra special dinner with new friends.
Great food and selection of wines
Mark is a 12 year server and true gem
Loved the filet and crab cake.
Food was fantastic, ambiance was lovely, only thing was that I nearly cancelled my reservation because I couldn’t find the restaurant. It’s on the third floor of B.B. Kings Blues club!!!
Visiting Memphis. Awesome
I’ve lived in Memphis all of my life and I’ve always wanted to dine at Itta Bena. Itta Bena was the first time, in a long time, that I enjoyed my dining experience from the moment I stepped on the fire escape until I stepped off the fire escape to leave. This restaurant is #1 for me now. The service was A+, the food was A+++. The dessert was A+++++. The evening drink menu was amazing. I would highly recommend the Amaretto Alexander to any and everyone. The filet was cooked to the perfect medium rare temperature. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The She-Crab soup is amazing. I could go on forever, but this restaurant provided a perfect dining experience, one that I will never forget. Can’t wait to come back.
Ok, I don't even like bread pudding but the white chocolate bread pudding is amazing. Little pillows of delicious. Save room for this fabulous dessert.
A night to be remembered! Wonderful everything!
Had friends in town visiting from Boston and we were celebrating birthdays! Everyone from the host to the manager to our server was super nice and very accommodating- I had requested a window seat in my reservation so my friends could enjoy the view and ambiance of Beale Street and they made it happen! The food and the service was excellent! It was late on a Friday night so it did get a little loud in there with the background music and close tables for conversations- but overall a great experience! I bring my family and friends frequently when they come to visit! I love the “blue “ view of Beale Street and the great food! And we always follow up with a night of dancing in BB Kings club downstairs!
This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was amazing!
It was an amazing evening. The service, food, and drinks were outstanding!
Fantastic experience in every sense. Moved to Memphis 1 and 1/2 years ago and every weekend have tried a new restaurant in Memphis. Hands down our favorite!!
Always fabulous. I was excited to introduce four new diners to Itta Bena. They loved it
The food was excellent!
We found the host to be a little snobby, and the atmosphere very loud.
We will be back!
Great food and service
Love this place! It never disappoints!
We were told about Itta Bena from a friend at work. We decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did. The food was great and the service was excellent! We've been wanting a nice romantic night our for a while now and we got just that. The setting was perfect for a romantic date night. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and we will be coming back. Perhaps for valentine's day!
Perfect for business, family or a friend gathering!
Our server was very helpful and kind. Enjoyed our food and the ambiance was perfect!
We had an amazing dinner and Chris was amazing. We will defiantly go back next time in Memphis. This is a hidden Gem!
Amazing food, gorgeous restaurant, and top notch service. Club downstairs was just too loud and the music competed with the music they had in the restaurant.
Steak quality less than expected. Service was slow, timing off, dish removal very slow.
Best meal in Memphis! The food was excellent. I wish I could go again tonight.
We had an early dinner to celebrate a birthday. The food was good and the ambiance was very nice. The server was efficient. He brought the birthday girl a yummy dessert with a candle which was very nice. It is a cool location, in the middle of the action but hidden away.
We love Itta Bena. Looking forward to dining there again in a couple of weeks.
Everything was delicious and the vibe in the restaurant is unmatched! So glad I found this hidden restaurant!
This hidden gem is the best kept secret in Memphis. Everything was perfection from atmosphere , service, drinks (Best mojito I’ve ever had!) , every item we experienced on the menu was perfection. We will be back!
Just wonderful! My husband and I went here for our 5th wedding anniversary and had an amazing night, we’ll definitely be back! Great prices, outstanding service and delicious food and cocktails! Highly recommend the shrimp appetizer with beer bread.
My wife treated me to my birthday dinner and this was the place I choose. What was so cool about it was, we’ve been to Memphis before but never knew it was another restaurant above BB Kings. There is not a sign and you have to enter the restaurant from the back fire escape which is so cool. Inside the restaurant was beautiful, dimly lit with blue shaded windows which created a effect in the space. My wife and I shared the barbecue shrimp and the lamb chops both dishes were delicious. We finished with the apple cobbler which was soooo good. This is are new favorite restaurant in Memphis hands down.
If i could remember our waiter’s name, I’d give him a shout out. Good service. My husband and I started with the crab stuffed avocado. He said they did a better job on that appetizer last time he was there, but it was still tasty. Loved my blues berry martini. I had 2 :) I ordered the Mahi Mahi special. It was very good. My husband got the salmon and was equally as pleased. We still had room for a light dessert. I’m glad for the potion sizes. We were full, but didn’t waste food.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately by a window overlooking Beale Street. John, our server was very attentive and would interject humor. I had the cornmeal coated avocado stuffed with crab as my appetizer. It was my favorite dish of the night. I also had the special which was Mahi Mahi over sucatash. It was okay. The vegetables in it were a little crunchy for my taste, but other people might like it that way. The white chocolate bread pudding was excellent. We also enjoyed the ambiance of the decor. It's like a hideaway of the old days. We will certainly go back.
We were in town for the Bob Seger concert and decided on Itta Bena after a referral from a friend. Absolutely loved this place!! The food and service were both spectacular. I was impressed with the bourbon list and was excited to sip Blanton’s while eating a perfectly cooked steak. Also had some of the best She-Crab soup I’ve ever had. Dessert was something special. We got the white chocolate bread pudding and the apple cobbler with ice cream. My God. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!
We always enjoy going to Itta Bena after the Orpheum performances. Martinis are excellent. We just wanted salads and appetizers. Very tasty. When we have had entrees, they were great, too! The atmosphere is always fun.
