Situated in Lakeview's iconic Southport Corridor, Itoko is a neighborhood Japanese and robata restaurant from Gene Kato, Executive Chef of Momotaro. “Itoko” meaning “cousin” in Japanese, refers to the connection with Momotaro, located in the Fulton Market District. The menu features the high level of ingredients and technique that Chicago has come to expect from Chef Kato, alongside a beautiful interior curated for the Southport neighborhood. The menu itself features uniquely interpreted sushi rolls that allow the high-quality fish to be the star of the sushi experience. In addition, an innovative beverage menu with a focus on cocktails & highballs highlights the relationship between the technique of the food created by the kitchen and how this is complimented by the beverage selection.

Been here so many times but never for lunch. We took advantage of their new Friday Bento Box lunch and it was really good. Everything looked delicious so it was hard to choose but we ended up with the Itoko Bento box and the charcoal burger. Both were seriously amazing. We will be back for lunch again soon!

Great high end Japanese food. There is nothing close to this quality in the Chicago outside the main dining area in the west loop and river north

Overall, great atmosphere and food.. Not a lot of rolls to chose from (5) and they give you 5 rolls/order— odd number for sharing. 4 stars

We've been here for dinner before, and loved it, so we decided to try the brunch. Honestly one of the best brunches we've been to in Chicago. Interesting options, tasty, and great service. Will be back.

Honestly one of the best happy hours I’ve been to in a while. Lychee martini 10/10, salmon dip 10/10, rolls and hand rolls 10/10 (everything to me was 10/10 haha). Service was great and everyone was attentive and kind!
