We took our Italian exchange student to ItalX and he gave it a 8.5 rating on authenticity. He even said it made him a little home sick when he ate the appetizer: Prosciutto di Parma burrata, tomatoes, fresh basil, toasted foccacia. There was even a red wine on the menu, lmy husband tried, which was made in the exchange students home town. My husband said it was also very good

Underwhelmed. The food was mediocre, the service felt extremely rushed, the noise level was so loud, it was difficult to carry on a conversation. The optics looked charming and romantic, but nothing met that first expectation. I will not return.

The lunch menu is too limited. The bread /oil was excellent. A simple side salad wasn’t available. The gentleman running the bar was extremely nice, professional.

Manager very accommodating. Servers was kind, engaging and made great recommendations. Food not too heavy and very flavorful. Great spot that I think gets forgotten! Will definitely come back again and again.

We were here on the night of a sold out downtown event and the restaurant was packed. Glad we had a reservation because they were turning away walk-ins. We had calamari and scallops and a chocolate mousse type dessert. Calamari appetizer is high quality with smaller quantity, but it is enough for 2 people to have a few bites. Get more if you plan on sharing. We saw entrees at other tables and food looked excellent. We decided on seafood and the choices were shrimp or scallops. We chose the scallops with risotto and it was excellent. Heads up that they are pricey ($45 per entree and the most expensive item on the menu ). Restaurant seating layout is tight (but typical) and we appreciated a seat by the window which gave us less noise and more privacy. I understand certain windows are open in warmer weather and I would sit away from the windows then due to street noise. Conveniently located for downtown events and excellent food. We would definitely eat here again.

The friendly welcome at the host stand was wonderful! We felt like family even though it was our first time eating at Italx. Truly outstanding host!! Gustavo provided us with wonderful attentive service. Lots of details about their bread options and the menu but not overwhelming. Spaghetti and lasagna were excellent! The Focaccia bread starter was amazing! It was fun to see all of the lights come on in downtown and a busy night with the concert going on: great view of downtown Lexington.

I dined with three other people. We all agreed the atmosphere was nice and our server was very friendly but not as attentive as we had expected. The meatballs were really good but the other three entrees were bland. The food also came it so fast it was surprising. I feel like it was all made already and they scooped it on a plate, it was out that fast. The bathroom was also a mess.

Delicious meal! One of my favorite places in downtown Lexington. I always order the focaccia with whipped ricotta…it’s a great starter. And the budino is a delicious way to end!

This is our "special occasion" restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, the food is wonderful, and the service is always friendly, efficient, and professional. We would not hesitate to recommend ItalX to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.

This was our fifth or sixth time visiting and we’ve sadly seen the food and service both go down drastically. - cocktails took 30 minutes to arrive. Yes, We did time it. The server was nonchalant about it and offered no discount or comp. - pasta was dry with little flavor. - oil the chicken was cooked in tasted rancid. - we ordered 2 bottles of wine and not enough wine glasses for the table. When we asked for more wine glasses the server was rude, smarted off and we had to use water glasses. She eventually did bring actual wine glasses. - the bar was overwhelmed and it threw everything off. It’s incredibly unfortunate, as we will probably not go back.

Italx always hits the spot. We often spend birthdays and anniversaries here and always love it. The prosciutto di parma and focaccia are musts, but everything is amazing. Quick and great service.

This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. We are pasta lovers and our meal was very good! Cocktails and wine selection were excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The only distraction for was the noise level, which was due to the volume of people.

I just went to ItalX with my girlfriend to celebrate her new job, and the whole experience was fantastic. The food was phenomenal, and Alyssa was a great server. One of our favorite places to celebrate!
