One of our favorites. Great food and service.
Great food and good service. I recommend the halibut.
Very good sausage, but everything else was just "eh". Used to be our favorite, but the service and ambiance aren't what they used to be either. Plenty of better choices in the area.
My father in law and I had the fish of the day, halibut. Was fixed in a standard lemon caper style with side of mixed veggies and mashed potatoes.
Only recommendation I would give is do a little larger or bigger variety of veggies, we had more onions & bell peppers than carrots & more substantial veggies and serve a little less mashed potatoes or add something to the potatoes, sadly there were bland.
Boyfriend had a pizza and it was good, not fabulous for the price but good.
A bit pricey, but good meal
We had the best time. Service and food were great. Want to come back and try the happy hour.
We go every year for my wife’s birthday. I love their lasagna so much. I try to order one for myself and one to go but she never lets me!
We are a frequent customer at Italianmissimo. Every time we come here for dinner, we have had an amazing experience overall.
Came to the restaurant recently and everything was fine besides the service. We had a bigger party and I mentioned to the waiter at the beginning that there would be several separate checks, with a couple of people combined. After we were done with dinner, the waiter came out with the checks and gave my husband and I separate checks, when at the beginning we mentioned to him that we were together.
Knowing that I mentioned that at the beginning, I combined our checks with one credit card. The waiter came back with an attitude, disputing and mentioned “that it would’ve been nice if you had mentioned this at the beginning”.
When he stated that, I thought that was unprofessional of him to say that to a customer. He apologized but it wasn’t sincere.
We have been going to this restaurant for several years and have never had a bad meal.
They never make us wait when we have reservations and have never had bad service. Food is consistent and as expected all the time -- love love love this restaurant
The ambiance was great - the food was excellent - but we felt a little rushed by the server as she kept hovering. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and wanted to chat and catch up and have a drink or 2 before dinner but didn't feel we were allowed to spend the time. The waitress was constantly asking if we were ready to order, and then were we ready to pay the check. It was very rude and frustrating. I have not had this experience before at this restaurant. I believe it was just the server not the restaurant.
The pasta was very good. The bruschetta was awesome. I brought the wine, so it was great. ;-)
The service was extremely slow to start, I almost got up and left. But then it picked-up.
I recommend asking for a booth when making a reservation.
Good food. A little pricey - we had 2 appetizers and 1 main dish and spent $60 without a tip. They have a wide variety of dishes and their homemade pastas are so delicious! Wait staff was friendly and helpful - we told him we would split the main dish and he had them put it on 2 dishes! he got an extra tip for that. We could just eat appetizers and be happy. Prices are on the high side, so be prepared to pay...
Pasta is always fresh. Cream sauces are amazing. Love this place. Waitstaff is always friendly.
Delightful food, served in a charming setting, all at a very reasonable price. We will return often.
We celebrated an anniversary. We were treated very well from start to finish and, as usual, the food was excellent, with large portions and great presentation.
This is our “go to” Italian restaurant on the eastside.
The hardest part is picking what to eat. Everything is made on the spot in the kitchen. Very willing to change or customize the dish. Always accommodates allergies with confidence. Chicken marsala is awesome as well as the lasagna!
Italianissimo is our go to restaurant. It is an excellent value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere.
Disappointed! I was expecting an upscale dining experience. The food was mediocre and the service was as bare minimum as possible. The server had zero personality and never checked on until the meal was over and she was looking for a dessert order.
We have been twice in the past month, and are looking forward to our next visit. This place is really good!
Great food, wine, beer, and service. We love their food and could make a meal of the Italianissimo Chop Salad. We really do love their food. Service is warm and inviting. This is truly a neighborhood gem!
My wife and I love this place for many reasons. The first is the food. We have eaten here many times and the food is always fantastic. Well prepared, served and tasty. Next, the service has always been exceptional, with knowledgeable waitstaff and great recommendations for dishes. I always get a gluten free pasta dish (a well-made penna with different preparations each time). The bar and drink menu is just right as is the wine selection. The bartenders here know how to make the perfect Vesper and traditional martinis. We will continue to return as often as possible.
This has been one of our favorites for 15 + years.... the quality and consistency has notably changed in the last year or so. This last experience the chop salad seemed old and was always a favorite as well as the Gorgonzola pasta dish- didn't taste the Gorgonzola--was much more of an alfredo ... a bit disappointed with a place that had always exceeded excellence.
We went for my moms birthday. Food was very good as was the wine.
My impression was that this was a good neighborhood Italian restaurant. I’d suggest updating the wall art, menu format, and a bit of polishing for the wait staff. The restaurant was very busy, but very loud too. If a sound reduction solution was made, then ambiance would feel more personal, more date worthy. Other than those criticisms the food and service was pretty good.
Fantastic food. Waitress not at all friendly or welcoming.
Great neighborhood atmosphere and great food. Always a reliable dining experience.
Always great -- we love this restaurant. The only reason I provided 4 stars rather than 5 for the food is that I am vegan.. not too many options, but great marinara sauce for whatever pasta I choose.
As usual the food was fantastic and the wait staff met our every expectation. Love this restaurant.
First visit here. Great food, quiet ambience, attentive service. We'll certainly return.
Great Italian food, good wine list, food is always consistent. Wait staff is very friendly. Excellent value.
Truly exceptional food and wine list. They were also very helpful accommodating a no-carb diet, by exchanging rice/pasta with a bed of spinach. The staff are friendly, professional and seem happy in their jobs.
Our server was Danielle. She seemed arrogant and not warm and welcoming. We had to ask for things she should have offered , I.e., bread, butter. Bread plates were part of our place settings when we arrived but not once did she ask if we wanted it. When we asked , it arrived with our main entrees. In most restaurants, Bread is usually snacked on when waiting for the main course to be served.
We chose Biscotti for dessert and when it was served, we each received one small biscotti. The portion was stingy.
Always top notch service and food consistency. Great wine selection. Love garlic? Ask for it with your bread. Comes in I’ve oil. Never have to ask for anything. They just show up and ask or deliver. Yum!
We just love eating at Italianissimo. We have never had a bad experience there!!
I hate to give Italianissimo a good review because I do not want to share this place with everyone. It is getting more popular than when I first went there and it is easy to understand why; excellent food, good prices, great service and robust portions. So, begrudgingly, I have to say that Italinaissimo is a wonderful restaurant and it is a "default" place for my wife and I when we want to have dinner out, be it just the two of us or with a group. Go there. Get their fish dishes. I find that their fish is better prepared than many seafood specialty restaurants in Seattle. Get the pasta too. Heck, order anything because it is all excellent. Bon appetit!
Although it is farther from our house than many of the restaurants we go to, we love this restaurant and brought friends with us this time. They enjoyed it as well.
If you're looking for a neighborhood Italian restaurant with predictable food, this is an OK place. The food is fair -- the dining room reminded me of a retirement home.
It was a pleasant meal and atmosphere.
Food was great. Our waitress seemed like she did not want to be there.
Second time there in the last three months.
Enjoyable early evening dinner. I thought the taste this time was a little bland and my wife and friend said the same thing. We will likely be back again in the next 3 months to try again.
This has been my Favorite restaurant for 10 years. So lucky to have such wonderful food so close to home.
