Our dinners a long time to come. When it came ny dinner was not warm. Sent it back and it was a bit warmer, but still not hot. Also, I ordered spicy prawns with Italian noodles that said it had a red sauce. My dinner hardly any sauce and was dry. Very disappointed in the whole dining experience. My husbands dinner was not that good too. He said he had much better food at orther Italin restaurants.
Although we found the food good (Halibut and Pork) we found the overall experience there less than what we had hoped for. What was lacking? Greeting at the door was missing while various employees scurried by without asking if we were attended to. We had to ask for the greeter to come to us which took 5 minutes. When we sat down we were served water and a dismal plate of 1 slice of bread sliced in half of mediocre bread. We noticed several other tables were served at least 4 1/2 slices of bread per 2 people with the addition of balsamic vinegar and/or butter. We were attended to nicely for ordering and wine serving, but one of us was served the pork with cold mashed potatoes. The server was mostly absent while we were eating until we were done and we had questions about what we were served. After finishing it took quite awhile for our table to be cleared. We shared a dessert which was good, tiramisu, but the coffee was weak and for coffee lovers we didn't even finish the coffee and went home to have our own coffee. Wish we didn't have to say anything negative, but for the price of our meal with wine we did expect a better experience, so want to let the owners know what they could improve so that other customers don't cross them off their list of desirable restaurants.
Our waiter was abysmal, believe his name was David. If the food was not so exceptional, we would not go back.
My birthday. Food and service was excellent as usual even though it was very busy for a Thursday night.
We have always loved this restaurant and is our favorite.
Their fresh crab ravioli was outstanding! We were enjoying every bite.
Italianissimo has been our favorite local restaurant for many years. We've had wonderful family celebrations there as well as causal nights with friends. The menu has many great choices and the fish specials are always perfect.
Love their wilted spinach salad; then we had the salmon special and chicken Marsala. The salmon portion was generous and cooked perfectly. The chicken Marsala had plenty of Marsala and mushrooms, making it rich and delicious. We love that they always provide nice side veggies for a balanced meal. Landon, our server, was attentive with good timing and very personable. We eat here with some frequency and the food and service are consistently outstanding!
We had mixed reviews on the food this time. We had invited friends to come and they weren't happy. One person had to send back their dinner to be hotter (served barely warm). The wife thought it was just okay. My wife LOVED her scampi. I was a little disappointed in my veal Marsala, which I get every time. The portion was much less than usual for some reason. The taste was okay though.
We've been here a few times now and each time the food has been great! This time was a birthday dinner for my wife, with her parents and her sister. 2 gluten free people in the group were also happen with the choices. They are on the higher price though! However, very good food.
The service was slow in the beginning, but it got better. We were just waiting for our bread for a very long time. All the pasta dishes were good, but nothing super special. The steak with Gorgonzola cheese was delicious, I would order it again and again .
The seafood pasta dishes lacked flavor contributing to a sense that this place may have lost its culinary focus. Sad.
Family and friends get together. Service was great. Never an empty glass. Everybody got something different. Carbonara, spaghetti, veal cannoli and chicken Parmesan, all outstanding. We had drinks, entrees, and dessert for 159.00. This is my go to restaurant when I’m home and I love taking friends there.
We are long time customers and will not be back. Other than a location convenient to the Woodinville area, this restaurant has nothing worth a visit. Food tastes as though shortcuts and cost cutting have turned it to pre-packaged processed food rather than it's previous homemade tastes. It was also served lukewarm. Service was all around awful. Slow, forgetful and no attempt to make up for mistakes. Still priced as though it is a high end meal. It is well worth driving another 15 minutes down 405 or 522 to any other restaurant.
Amazing and romantic location

In a nutshell: overpriced, pretty dull
6 people ordered primavera, mac and cheese, margarita pizza and scallop pasta. For dessert we had the tiramisu and chocolate mousse. We also had 2 glasses of Malbec and one glass of Pinot Grigio
The food was fresh, service was friendly and fast, the food itself lacked flavor and character. The pizza has some character and the wine wasn't as good
Price was $161... way overpriced
Love this place. EVERYTHING is always great! Food delicious, atmosphere both comfortable and elegant, waitstaff knowledgable and kind (I often take my elderly mother who needs special assistance).
Good Food / Less than average bread / good service / pricey!!!
Overall it was an ok experience - not sure we will be back. We ordered the carpaccio but it wasn’t served with anything to eat it on - would have been nice to have served it with toasted bread. It was also under-seasoned. Our other appetizer was admittedly ordered wrong by our waitress (we ordered the Prawns Fra Diavolo style and she brought it to the table Scampi style) and instead of just remaking it she said “well do you want to just eat this one instead since it’s here?” At one point one of our guests wanted a before wine drink but the selection was limited at best, and his wife wanted an after dinner drink later and that too was a very limited menu. Half the liqueurs they had listed on the menu they did not actually have. The wine we ordered was good but when we ordered the second bottle it took 20mins to get and we weren’t served it until after our food came and we had nothing then to drink with our meal.
The meals - EVERYTHING tasted like butter. I ordered the veal scallopini piccata style and my friend ordered it with the mushrooms and wine. They honestly tasted the same. The veggies were good but again heavily coated in butter and the GIANT mound of mashed potatoes were cold and super dense. My husband ordered the filet wrapped in pancetta which is served medium rare according to our server but his steak was over cooked. And again the sauce (which had broken) and everything else on his plate basically tasted only of butter.
We ordered tiramisu for dessert only to find out they ran out - why does an Italian restaurant NOT have items like Grappa or good Vodka on the drink menu and run out of tiramisu?????
Overall I was not very impressed with the food and doubt we will be back.
My husband and I took my sister out for her birthday. We love your restaurant and have always enjoyed the menu. After the meal we were going to order dessert when the staff showed up to sing Happy Birthday to her. They gave her the dessert she was going to order! A great time was had by all! Thank you for making her B D special♥️
Lovely location and service but food was mediocre at best. This is not the place to go for excellent Italian food.
Fine Italian fare for a reasonable price. Friendly staff. I felt well cared for!
Fourteen years go we lived just down the street & frequented Italianissimo. We haven’t been there for quite awhile so the food is not as good as it used to be. The calamari was overcooked, the veal was tough, the spaghetti sauce was dull & the bread needs to be replaced with a crusty, Italian one. In the past 12 years we’ve been to 78 Italian restaurants on the Eastside & Seattle. There are MUCH better than Italianissimo, however, apparently not in Woodinville since it was crowded.
The food was all right. No. I'm being nice First problem appeared when they brought us stale bread look like it had been cut from a loaf that had been around for several days. It was not good. I wasn't expecting anything fancy but all I got was some olive oil. The food was okay. I'm not going back. They delivered some very basic food and the highlight was the cats in the parking lot. We had to wait an excessively long time for anything. We were going to order dessert but took as a server at least 10 minutes to get back to us and and while I appreciate that you get busy sometimes he was pretty negligent. For over $130 for two adults and two children you can do better. I would also like to add that the calamari smelled absolutely horrible. That was not fresh. And the sauces they gave us were not fresh. This review is being generous. Just don't.
Great service as always. Seemed like much bigger portions this time
Great food, ok value. The setting is fantastic Thankks
Well we have been going to this restaurant for over 2 years.
Great ambience and great food complimented by good service.
One issue is we have faced flies in this restaurant on more than 2 occasions.
We have been coming to this restaurant for a very long time but haven't been in quite awhile.
It is someplace I recommend to people for a delicious upscale meal.
The food is always fresh and amazing and made from scratch. It is consistent and never disappoints.
Back in town for a visit after moving away. Had to stop in for lunch with friends. Great food, friendly staff. Love the Shrimp Bisque.
Service was fabulous! Food delicious! Great evening!
We made last minute reservation on a Friday night and while the restaurant was busy, we were seated right away. Unfortunately we were not pleased with our meals. The pasta sauce nearly tasteless. 5 stars for the pasta which I believe was fresh made. We will probably try again but order differently.
5 Year Anniversary
We go to Italianissimo every month or two. It is our favorite Italian restaurant. Our recent visit was no exception. Great food and great service.
Absolutely love this place,
Great flavors, easy parking, nice atmosphere. I would dine here again.
As always, a fine meal.
Excellent as usual. Very fresh..
I enjoyed my Lasagna and the service was excellent. The restaurant was full, so make sure you make reservations if you plan on going on a weekend. Parking is hard to come by and I had to park in limited spots behind the restaurant. Not sure if you can get towed there, but I risked it and my car was still there.
Still great but need to make sure food quality does not slip.
